Matt and his Father are actual jack of all trades, and their work speaks for its self. They installed a new front door on my OLD home built in the 1950s. Nothing is strait or level on my home, and it came out looking amazing. I even bought the wrong door frame and they were still able to make it work and do a bit of extra trim work as I had already painted the door and could not return it. I would highly recommend Talbot Handyman to anyone, and they will be getting all my business for my real estate and property management clients as well as my own personal work!

When we met Matt he genuinely seemed like a good guy, I truly believe that this job was bigger than…read morehe could handle and he should've said so upfront instead of following through with this in a very unprofessional way. We hired him and his father to build us an outdoor kitchen. They quoted us 6 to 8 weeks in the beginning and we were very patient with him all last summer when we started the project. All the sudden they started dragging their heels and things weren't getting done. Messages would go unanswered and he would say he was coming and not show up. Matt had issues with the countertops to begin with and changed to butcher block assuring us that the butcher block was made for outdoors. We never even got to use the kitchen before the countertops were completely cracked and warped . Instead of fixing it he knocked the price down because he did not want to have to take care of the countertops. We did agree and asked him if he could at least come and fix the concrete that wasn't setting right. After I realized what a nightmare job he did on the pizza oven I asked him if he could repair it, not once did he answer me or acknowledge the issues with the pizza oven. He told me prior to us hiring that he had indeed built another pizza oven. I am doubting that at this point since the pizza oven is now cracking and heat and smoke ks coming out of the cracks. This pizze oven also smokes from the front when the smoke should be going out of the chimney. After researching I found out that a chimney for a pizza oven needs to be a minimum of 6 inches in diameter and he put a 3 inch flue on there. This whole process has been a disaster. The bricks are now falling off on the kitchen sides and we have continually had to glue them back on. We had another contractor out to finish the countertops for us and he pointed out that the kitchen sink is not plumbed right and there's no way to blow out the pipes ao they won't freeze. They also put no insulation around pipes going to the house.

That changed when water damage in my mother-in-law's house sent me on a search for a reliable contractor. We are so fortunate to have found Merrick Construction. Justin is a pleasure to work with, is incredibly detail-oriented, and does quality work. The results are exactly as we want them to be and when we don't know what we want, Justin helps us to understand the different options and tradeoffs to be made. Even beyond the job at hand, he would provide professional advice to help us plan future upgrades. What started as an office repair and remodel at my mother-in-law's house, led to a partial home remodel, ADA modification to a bathroom, lighting upgrades, flooring upgrades and painting. We were so happy with the result that we hired Justin and his team to remodel 2 bathrooms, kitchen and electrical upgrades, windows, doors, and even the removal of a dilapidated deck in the backyard of my home. Clear communication, good documentation, and a customer service mindset round out the package. You will not be disappointed with Merrick Construction!

If you are looking for a bathroom remodel, skip the major franchises and call Brett. We received several quotes, and Brett was 30% less expensive while offering much higher-end Onyx stone compared to the "plastic" feel of the one-day installers. He finished the job in three days, was incredibly professional, and the attention to detail is obvious. It was well worth the short wait to get a shower that is built to last.

We had a very complicated repair that needed to be done on an antique clawfoot tub, and Anthony handled it with absolute precision and craftsmanship. From the moment he started, it was clear we were working with someone who truly knows his craft. The repair itself was extremely intricate, but Anthony executed it flawlessly. His attention to detail was remarkable, and the final result looks beautiful -- you would never know the tub had ever needed repair. Anthony was also one of the most professional and respectful technicians we've ever had in our home. He worked carefully, protected the surrounding area, and left everything completely clean when the job was finished. We were so impressed with his work that we had him come back to do additional projects that required construction knowledge and finishing expertise, and once again he did an outstanding job. It is rare these days to find someone who takes such pride in their work and delivers such exceptional results. Anthony truly went above and beyond. If you need porcelain repair or restoration, Nally's Porcelain is the company to call. We would recommend them without hesitation!

Pro tip: Don't use Nally for service in bathtub or shower refinishing or repair. We had a terrible…read moreexperience with the quality of work done by the employee who was assigned to fix our bathtub. I didn't see evidence of their 45 years of work that they advertise. At least the old guy (long hair, short, smoker) who did our work wasn't knowledgable or even professional. Seriously, after our bad experience with Nally and the poor value of what they did for us (bathtub repair), I can recommend that you call anyone, anyone, else. We used other companies before for home and bathroom repairs and I wanted to support local. Miracle Method was one company who gave us added value along with their professionalism, courtesy, guaranteed high quality of work. They spoiled me i guess. I took it for granted that workmen would be good at what they did and act professional in their behavior and even appearance. What a mistake. From Nally we got sloppy, inferior craftsmanship. Even worse, the guy that did the bathtub repair work had a bad attitude and bad personal hygiene too. He thought he was a great repairman but he definitely wasn't. Not even close. When Nally's repair failed a few months after I paid them (too much), I had to have the guys poor work redone by another company six months later. It was less expensive, took less time, and was far better than what Nally gave us. Just don't even try them. I hope you take my advice.
