There are many unprofessional and unscrupulous bankruptcy attorneys out there. Chang & Carlin is…read morenot one of them. From the minute I retained them, I felt confident in their ability to represent me in my case. To respond to another review, no, they will not file your case until you pay your balance, and that is not out of the ordinary for Chapter 7 filings. But, the minute you pay your $100, they are your representative and you can simply tell your creditors to contact them. I don't think any bankruptcy attorney would be in business very long if they relied on bankrupt people to pay them back AFTER filing:) My case was a little more work than the usual case, but John was willing to go the extra mile and ALWAYS kept in touch with me. He'd return calls within 10 minutes if I couldn't get a hold of him. We even spoke as late as 9pm some days. I cannot recommend Chang & Carlin highly enough.

After listening for only 6 minutes without reviewing any of my document/photo/video evidence, he said I do not have a case. I asked for other options to seek out a different opinion and he told me other lawyers would say the same. This was soul-crushing to hear. I was extremely disappointed by the short consult in addition to writing off my case without a thorough review.

Abandoned in Open Court - Beware of Brad Erdman…read more Review: If you are looking for an attorney to protect your family and your assets, look elsewhere. I retained Bradley Erdman at Mirabella, Kincaid, Frederick & Mirabella, LLC (MKFM Law) for a child custody and financial enforcement case. On March 4, 2026, during an active custody status hearing, I asked him a few standard, clarifying questions about the court process and our strategy for enforcing a major financial judgment. Instead of answering me, Brad became completely dismissive and abruptly withdrew as my attorney right there in open court. He left me completely unrepresented in front of the judge during a critical moment in my custody case. A family law attorney is supposed to be your advocate during highly stressful times. Brad Erdman proved that if you ask questions or expect clear communication, he will cut and run, leaving you entirely exposed. I am now filing a formal grievance with the state disciplinary commission. Protect yourself and find counsel who actually honors their ethical obligations to their clients. #MKFMLaw #DuPageCounty #WheatonIL #FamilyLaw #DivorceAttorney #ChildCustody

Though my injuries were not life threatening, thank you Tesla, I am left with permanent pain, high cost of care and decreased quality of life. I was referred to Rob Kohen at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard by a dear friend of mine. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with another firm. Fortunately, I ended up with Rob. I was surprised that Rob agreed to take my case after I parted ways with my original counsel. He really inherited a mess and he did an incredible job managing it all. Rob and everyone I spoke with at the firm were kind, intelligent and patient. Rob guided me, re-educated me and fought hard for me. The process was faster than I expected and he was able to recover 100% of the insurance policy available in my case. Throughout the process, Rob felt more like a best friend than I expected an attorney to be. I felt seen, understood and supported. He was always accessible and made me feel like a priority.
