Disappointing Experience at The Nail Bus - Downtown Container Park…read more I stopped by The Nail Bus at the Downtown Container Park in Las Vegas at approximately 2:50 PM. Their posted hours clearly showed that they were open until 7:00 PM, so I asked if I could get a pedicure and a full set. I was told they would not have time to do my services. What made this especially frustrating was that there was no one waiting. There was one employee working on one client, and apparently only one employee running the entire shop. If a business advertises that it is open until 7 PM, I wouldn't expect to be turned away more than four hours before closing, especially with no customers waiting. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend calling ahead before making the trip. Better yet, you may want to skip it altogether and find another nail salon that is adequately staffed and able to accommodate customers during its posted business hours. Unfortunately, I can't review the quality of their nail services because I wasn't given the opportunity to receive any.

I am so lucky that she was my person. Not only is she detailed in what she does, she takes pride in her work. She is chill and made me feel chill. She takes her time and I felt pampered. When she was doing my fingernails she didn't use water for soaking. She used a variety of instruments to remove cuticles. She quietly sang the songs on the shop's Playlist. She has a good voice. That made me feel extra calm and welcomed. 3. The tough part of the visit was getting to the shop. The Nail Buzz opens before the container shop mall opens. There are 2 security doors that were locked. I was told to enter through the gate by the giant metal preying mantis. The long long gate slides open. We would not have figured it out had we not seen Tatie before hand. She introduced herself at the sliding gate and showed us the way. We rode the elevator to the shop. It was air conditioned. Yay! 4. We walked to the shop from the Golden Nugget. May I suggest not wearing any fancy jewelery? The neighborhood looks a little rough. 5. I am not spelling her name perfectly. Her name is Ta Te.. .. .. ? It is pronounced Tatiana. I am really pleased with my nails and pedicure.

During my pedicure appointment, I was given delicious spa water, a heated pillow, a sample of in-house made coffee creamer and a chocolate peanut butter rice krispy treat. My nail technician was Daphne, who knew exactly what to do with my neglected toes and rough feet! Her advice to me about how I could take care of my feet at home was helpful and appreciated. Bree was the official "greeter, cashier, and helpful person" in the front of the spa. Her customer service was absolutely stellar in my opinion. This spa is a hidden gem in Las Vegas! I just left after my second pedicure and it was the complete opposite. I didnt see the same woman so I went with the guy. it started off okay but he was done in like 20 minutes! I understand this is not a high-end salon but he didn't use the tool to clean under my toes at all. when I told him he hadn't done that, he said my nails were cut short so it didn't make sense for him to do it. I said can you at least do my big toes? he did my one big toe whose nail is shorter, and he dug down *deep*, maybe to show me he was right? when I said ouch, he said see? and then told me I was "leaking" (bleeding?) I didn't see any blood but I was so frustrated. then he kept explaining why he didn't need to clean under my toenails. he even said "I know you're not happy" and I said "it's not as satisfying when you don't clean under my toes" and then he just explained it all again. I always have my toenails cut short and they have always cleaned under them. I think he was rushing to be done, idk. we started off okay but it went downhill fast. he even tried to tell me it takes 30 extra minutes to do a topcoat of glitter I had requested. 30 minutes! that's the opposite of the truth. disappointed and I guess will keep looking for a better place.
