The first incident was when my gel polish bubbled within 24hours. I went back to have them redone and with hesitation the owner allowed complimentary redo. (Side note- if my nails are ruined by no fault of my own right after getting them done why not apologize.) Go home to find the nails were once again not smooth and bubbling. Third time, owner would not allow fix but technician (Mayra) stepped in to accommodate. (My conclusion the initial tech rushed (since dismissed), didn't allow gel to dry in between applications, not trained properly or all of the above.) Nevertheless, management on several occasions seemed to lack apologetic nature. The owners could improve if seeked management training in hospitality and true customer service. **Update** - After reading legal threat towards my review. I felt compelled to help the other patrons be aware of what your experience is like at Glamour Nails. I was motivated to review after reading so many similar reviews like mine in 2014. 3.5/5 I came here to get a french shellac mani before travelling out of town for an engagement party. It was my first time getting shellac, and I didn't get a scratch or chip in my polish for over 2 weeks. At about 2.5 weeks, my nails were growing out so you could see the unpainted portions near the cuticles, but the polish held up really well. I'm not sure if they just do a really good shellac, or any shellac polish is like that, but I was impressed! This place is located close to where I live, which is why I chose to come here - I didn't have much time to spare, and the shellac process takes a while. Usually when I get my nails done, it's a treat...which is why I only get mani pedis a few times each year. If I were treating myself, this might not be the place I would choose - the interior isn't very soothing. The shellac french manicure ran me $35, which is similar to what I would have paid at a higher end/nicer nail salon....so I'm not really sure why the high price (although, like I said before, this was my first shellac experience and it may have been better than elsewhere - I can't really say). Basically, if I needed a convenient and all around GOOD manicure and didn't want to travel far from home, I might come back here. I think I found my to-go place for my nails!! I've been searching for a place where I feel comfortable, good prices and where I can become a regular, and I think I found it! I thought the price for gel nails and full pedicure with regular Polish $40 a good deal! At other places, $40 gives you gel nails with just a Polish change on the toes... So $40 for a full Pedi was shockingly a good deal!! They do know how to do nail art, just make sure to call and ask if the lady that does them is there, because I had made an appointment and wanted to do a design when only to find out that the lady that does them was not working that day, so I had to change my design.. Next, my nail technician painted all over cuticles (that's a big no, no - this way it starts chipping, peeling very fast). I see that many photos are posted here with comments like "loved my mani" but has paint all over cuticles! I was supposed to check out these pictures before coming here. She also applied nail polish too close to the sides (touching skin), so the top coat was peeling off. That's the reason why my manicure started to chip so fast. Usually I say something about it but this time I just hoped it will be fine and I was also in a rush. I have worked at the nail salon myself, and I know how upset the nail technicians may become when someone is complaining. After I posted this review, I received a reply from the owner Lina calling my review a fake. It was disappointing because my review is honest. Instead of calling me a liar, she could have used my review to improve the service. Professionals don't call their customers fake. I first came across Glamour Nails Salon in Doral, after my usual nail tech left on a two month trip to China. I'm extremely meticulous when it comes to my nails so I was on the hunt for the best salon in Miami, and like all of you I turned to Yelp for guidance! I can honestly say, my fellow Yelpers did NOT let me down on this one! As the majority of the other reviews mention, Glamour Nails Salon is clean, friendly, and filled with a warm, attentive staff and clientele. Not to mention, their prices are PHENOMENAL! $20 for a pedicure, $20 for a refill, or $25 for a Shellac manicure, amongst many other, also inexpensive services. The owner Lisa, is my absolute favorite! She is so caring, and funny and does an INCREDIBLE job at just about everything. When it comes to my pedicure, my go-to girl is Mayra. She will take her time, and give you the absolute BEST service possible! I strongly recommend that you make an appointment, especially for these two (Lisa and Mayra) because they are two of the most sought after techs in the entire salon! If you do decide to walk in, that's fine too. As long as you're willing to wait it out, they'll make it happen and in no time! After reading all those nice reviews about this place, I decided to pay a visit myself. The store is in a strip mall close to home so location is very convenient. The people that work here are soo nice and attentive. My goal was to get a pedicure but I liked it so much, I ended up getting acrylic nails and my eyebrows/lip/chin done. I know...I went a bit overboard but was totally worth it! The place is very clean and each of them take their time to make sure you are happy with the end result. tl;dr: the front desk lady/manager is the worst. But if you can get past that, Suny is really sweet and does an excellent job. She only speaks Spanish, however, FYI. I went to Glamour nails because it was close by to where I was headed and the prices/reviews seemed decent. After reading the yelp reviews, I made an appt with Mayra, as I'm very particular about my nails and saw some good reviews and pictures from her clients. I made an appt for later in the day, but when I realized I'd be there a little earlier, I called to change my appt to an earlier time. Now by the time I got there, I was still early, even for my newly earlier scheduled appt. I introduced myself to the front desk lady/manager, who was already clearly frazzled, and I sat down to wait for my allotted time. The lady had me reconfirm my name at least 3 times to her, and then she finally set me up with Sury, even though I had previously specified that I wanted to have Mayra. But seeing as how I came early to my appt by half an hour, I figured she just wasn't available, and I didn't fight the issue. Part way through Sury working on my nails, another client came in saying she had an appt with Sury, and the manager started yelling at her saying how she was late and that Sury was already preoccupied. The client verbalized calmly that she was in fact 15 min early, but the manager was instant, and then realized she had made a mistake and confused the two of us...even after I confirmed my name THREE times prior to this! The worst part, she started yelling at me! I told her and Sury that it's okay, I can just wait as I can see this is causing quite some commotion for what I thought was going to be a relaxing afternoon. Sury sweetly kept reassuring me that it was okay and that she would continue to work on my nails, even though the manager was being absolutely rude and completely unprofessional and kept muttering how I shouldn't have gotten there ealry. I did pedi mani with Marisol, first of all, she is a nice lady, very sweet and friendly, BUT her service is not good. She uses the cuticle clipper like it is a tweezer, she peeled off the top of my nails, the culticle was chipped and she painted on top of it. Not good service at all. The other nice lady, the receptionist, notice I wasn't happy and took the nail Polish out, but I didn't want her to paint it again because I'm going on home to trim the cuticle myself, she didn't charge me for the mani. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I had a great experience my first time here getting a mani/pedi. I made an appointment the day before and requested Lisa (like many of the yelpers recommended) around noon. Lisa definitely made my experience at the salon even better than it is. She was incredibly sweet and made me feel really comfortable because she would actually converse with me. Besides her friendliness, she was very meticulous with her work, my feet and hands look amazing! Even when I accidentally messed up my nails while getting up from the chair, she repaired them quickly and carefully. The salon itself is pretty nice and clean (I didn't feel disgusted by the equipment that were being used). I was surprised by the variety of colors and brands they had (OPI to Essie to China Glaze) and even when I couldn't find my color on the shelves, Lisa was able to find it at another work station. And they offer the typical things you would find at a salon (waxing, gel nails, acrylic, French...) at a fairly reasonably price (mani/pedi was $30). I was very pleased with the job and service I received from Mayra. I give the actual salon appearance a 3 star: Those blue walls have to go!!! Very depressing colors and décor. Just with a little paint and some new décor, this can be a brand new place. The pedi chairs are great, they give great massages. The room where they do the waxing needs some uplifting ASAP. I will be going back. Just because they have bad taste in décor is not going to stop me from getting my mani-pedi with Mayra. Very bad acrylic nails that I have ever had in my life. All of 4 nails were broken next day. Look at my picture....The shop was quiet, no customer there when I came. Only two people worked there. I think because they did not do a good job, that is the reason nobody want to come. Acrylic normally last me at least 2 weeks if I had it done in another salon. Never come here again. Bad bad bad experience. Most of their colors are old and lack of option, most of them are red. I think colors has been here for years because it was so thick, and I could not open 3 bottles out of 4 that I picked. Also, she applied the wax too hot, and burned my left eyes skin, now shown the red mark on my left eyes brows. Terrible!!! My eyes brows are not the same any more. I received the best Pedicure from Tanya...she took her time, paid close attention & really made my feet look the best they've looked in forever. Then my nails, my gosh...they look soooo sexy not overly coated in acrylic, painted neatly and they look perfect. They use supplies right out of the sterylizer, and really have a clean comfy environment. I travel to Doral for work several times a year. Having a mani-pedi seemed like a good thing. I offer two stars because the woman who performed my service did a decent job shaping my finger and toe nails. That's where the compliments end, I'm afraid. I don't believe the woman I met with is actually a licensed esthetician: the tools she used clearly not sterilized: she pulled them from a filthy pink cosmetic bag. There was not an autoclave in sight. The towels she used were clearly dirty and the nail polish was gummy and old. Shame on me for not stopping her mid-way and walked out. The worst of the worst was that I got a nail bed infection from the dirty implements and had to be on antibiotics for a week. Please-- don't go to this business. read more

Was in the area running around doing errands and was driving back home when i spotted this place. The name "Glamour" really caught my attention and i was in serious need for mani//pedi. It's located in a small shopping center so parking is no problem. Walk ins are welcome as well as appts. The place is pretty similar to any type of Asian run nail salon but somewhat different. There are 5 stations for acrylic and manicures in the middle of the salon. Towards the right you'll find the Spa pedicure stations. Towards the back there are three doors; the bathroom, the employee lounge, and the wax room. I was able to take a peek in the wax room and noticed they have a table/bed. I was shocked how well the staff speaks English, I was actually able to understand them, and they don't have conversation between them in their language in front of you. I find that annoying when they talk to each other and you have no idea what they are saying, makes you feel like they are talking bad about you. The place seems pretty clean and the owner( i'm assuming is the one that sits all the way in the front, who greets you) was on top of people making sure they clean their stations after every clients. Also, they have like 10 sterilization stations for the instruments. Prices are pretty reasonable. Mani 10, Pedi 20, mani/pedi 28, eyebrow wax 7. They accept credit cards and you can add the tip on the card. The place got really busy, especially after 530, so call ahead. Oh i almost forgot they have a huge selection of Opi and Essie nail polish. read more

This place is terrible! Giving it one star is generous! If you don't have an appointment, they won't really pay attention to you. I came in, and waited about half an hour, until then finally put me in a chair...I then sat in the chair with my feet in the water for another half hour. I understand that people have appointments, but they completely ignored me...even people walking in to get waxed got helped before me. After all of the waiting, they finally got to me and started my pedicure, which was rushed through, she didn't rub my feet and the water was cold.
