BUYER BEWARE Kate is unprofessional, might go as far to say EVIL. After checking in with Kate, I waited for roughly 15-20mins before she brought me into her office. I didn't necessarily mind but that was the first red flag of many. After getting into her office the 2nd red flag was how dirty everything was. Cabinets, makeup tubes, light fixture etc. I spent a lot of money to travel there in the first place & I felt like it would be a waste if left so I tried to ignore it. I began to explain the shape i wanted to accentuate & we started to discuss colors. She seemed annoyed at my indecision on the color options she had available. I then showed her a small patch on my lip that had peeled while I exfoliated that morning in preparation & she seemed annoyed that I had questions about that as well. She then asked me if I wanted to cancel & tried to make me feel guilty for taking time away from other clients bc I had previously rescheduled (no other clients checked in while I was there, but I digress..) From that moment forward the tension made me feel really uncomfortable. I tried to convince myself that the procedure would be worth it despite the looming negative emotional experience. She began applying the numbing cream on to my lips & it felt hot so I asked if it was normal. This annoyed her too. She basically asked me to leave at that point & I told her I obviously wanted to continue I just needed to know if that was typical. I felt extremely uncomfortable at that point & I wish to God I did leave and take all the glaring red flags as a sign but I stayed. She finished applying the numbing cream & left for approx 20mins or so while it set in. When she got back & started prepping for the rest of the procedure, she went and grabbed a packaged needle & flashed it before my face for no more than two seconds I didn't get to see exactly which needle she used. This, as I've learned more about microneedling, has alarmed me the most considering how drastic results & pain level can be depending on the needle type used & considering how excruciating the pain ended up being. I'll suffice it to say that it felt like Kate was purposely digging the needle in to cause maximum pain She didn't put protective cotton round in my mouth to create a barrier between my teeth and lips until numbing cream & ink were getting into my mouth & I asked her if it was toxic. Kate began the tattoo by TATTOOING THE WHITE GEL PEN OUTLINE on to my mouth. This shape was far outside my natural lip line & passed the suitable skin area for lip tattooing. The pain was unbelievable at times. When she was done I was quite literally in shock. My lips were EXTREMELY swollen. Kate didn't follow my wishes, tattooed far outside my lip line where pores are located. Two days after the procedure my lip began to twitch on the right bottom side and I was terrified that I got an infection. That twitching lasted for months on and off. 6 months later I still get random pulses in that spot. My lips are patchy where she tattooed over pores. DO NOT GO HERE. You better believe I got a refund. She's lucky I didn't sue!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
