When asked if it was going to be full or partial color, I told her I wasn't sure what he wanted and hoped that speaking with the stylist we would figure it out then. The girl suggested I call my son and ask him and then call back to make my appointment. I asked what the reason was for needing to know prior to making an appointment ? I was told that they focus on time management and they wouldn't want to schedule as a full when he would get partial bc that leftover time could've been filled and vise versa if i scheduled a partial but decided on a full. She doubled down on me figuring it out with my son and then calling back so the appointment would align with their "time management". I brought up the possibility of my 15 yr old son changing his mind mid appointment after discussions with his stylist etc. wouldn't customer satisfaction be the focus in this situation ? What happens then? Does "time management" trump our appointment ? Do you send us away when the chance of interfering with next customers scheduled time comes into play ? I was offered a consultation appointment that would , unfortunately , yes, mean I'd have to come back another day for the actual service. I'm 35 years old I've dyed my hair 6 times 4 perms and countless cuts over the years at probably over a dozen salons. I've never experienced such difficulty just trying to make an appointment; Seemed like a red flag to me. Shame though because their photos of their color services was impressive. Story has a happy ending though : I was able to make an appointment at another salon in Ridgewood after hanging up. I said the same thing I did when I called here , there was no problem at all. My advice : when a salon is so focused on time management to the point you can't even make an appointment: go elsewhere. I'm thankful actually. I was left for 40 mins until I buzzed AGAIN and was told her FIRST client was late so she was behind all day did I want to wait 10 more minutes so I waited. I was annoyed but things happen. Cut and blowout were ok. She gave me 20% coupon and she seemed knowledgeable about color so I decided to totally change my color and I made a 2nd appt. I was specific in what I wanted. End result is she could not achieve the color evenly and now my hair is 3 colors. She did not offer to recolor it again or give me the formula if want to go elsewhere. She offered to put a toner on and I declined because at this point she wasted 50 mins of my time being late during my first appt and now I need to go back to get something that should have been done right and if it couldn't be then I wouldn't have changed my hair color. I told her that and she did not say anything except "ok be well". So between the Groupon and the color change appt that was $200. I guess she's not worried about repeat clients since she didn't seem to care about making it right. Also during my appt she scheduled a keratin, that lady had to wait 15 mins for her to finish w me and I felt totally rushed at that point and the blow out was nothing like the first day. So my overall experience was just not good.
