Music is extremely important to my husband and I, and we had a vision for the music we wanted played during different parts of the wedding, from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to dancing. We spoke with DJ Tim prior to booking with AllStar and then again a couple of weeks before the wedding. He was very open to our curated playlist and had recommendations that we hadn't considered such as adding a couple of slow dances, and shared strategies for getting guests of different ages and backgrounds onto the dance floor. He did a fantastic job at the wedding using our playlist and managed to keep people dancing all night. Additionally, he arrived at our venue on time, handled setting up the audio equipment, lighting, and ceremony microphones with skillful ease, and MC'd the evening with professionalism and accuracy with our plans. We are so grateful for the important role that he played that helped bring our love of music to our guests!

Our wedding planning was plagued…read morewith constantly changing COVID regulations and I was full of anxiety about how our big day would go. Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!

It was truly amazing to see how great and magnificent everything looked. The birthday lady was so taken aback by what had been done in her honor that she was at a loss for words. Everything from the setting, flowers, lighting, attentive service, cordial staff, etc....was magnificent. The décor was truly stunning. The food was delectable, well done, and to die for. Everyone in attendance was beyond themselves on how "over the top" the party was. Soraya is very easy to work with and helps her clients achieve their ultimate desired goals. She has a natural way of doing her thing and reassuring you that everything is going to be great that makes your stress level disappear. From planning to execution, Soraya is there and is involved in all aspects of the event. She is a very reliable and dependable person. Fil came with a color-coded spreadsheet (my love…read morelanguage), walked us through everything for the evening, was really on top of schedule changes, and made great suggestions about moving speeches and other moments around to get the best flow for the evening. The whole band had such amazing energy and kept us dancing until the minute we had to turn off the amp for a local curfew time. All of our guests were enthralled and so complimentary all night - and still talking about the experience in the morning! One of our guests was moved nearly to tears every time the saxophone player had a solo, and is not-so-secretly hoping he can fly the whole band down to his wedding next year in Florida. We are so so glad we chose Brooke and Fil with Cover Story - 100% would recommend!! Chris and Elena (behind the scenes for booking and planning for the months leading up to our wedding) were really accessible and ready to answer the dozens of questions we had. The planning document they provided ended up being our skeleton schedule to help everything else fall into place throughout the evening. We didn't hire a planner, so that was incredibly beneficial.

Beyond their professionalism and great work ethic, they JAM. Seriously, we got the best dance-floor/party photos we've ever gotten at this wedding due to the great music. We had a 20 minute conversation before even booking, where she asked a bunch of questions to get an idea of my plan so far, and even provided some pointers before any money was exchanged or anything was booked. Before the wedding we communicated regularly, and she provided a detailed timeline I could share with my vendors. I strongly recommend doing a site walk through with her as well. It was so worth it. She emailed with my vendors also the week prior to my wedding for last minute planning and coordination, which took so much weight off my shoulders. It was so nice to know she had everything under control, so all I had to worry about on the day of my wedding was getting ready. She is genuinely kind, outgoing, professional, and incredibly organized, and on the day of the wedding interacted with my family and got to know by dad a little bit, which was meaningful to me.     We have used the Party Fun twice now for Photobooth services about 1.5 years apart between events…read more The first event everything (2020) went great, there was communication prior to the event, I saw proofs, I got to look at the backdrops, it was great. This event, I had contacted them, signed the contract, and then there wasn't much communication after. I understand that its not necessary to be in touch until shortly before the event, but that didn't happen proactively on their end. I had to write to them asking to confirm everything, even asking them to confirm the Vendor meal we were going to provide, and they still did not respond. I asked for them to bring an album so that we could keep a copy of all the pictures in there so that it could serve as a guest book and people could sign it. Because of this, we didn't plan another type of "guest book" On the actual event- The person who came to set up was lovely, and was on time and did the best that he could, but it was obvious that someone either above him or before hand did not do their part. The event was for my in laws 50th Anniversary and it was very important to us hosting the party that everything went perfect, because it was almost uncertain if this party was going to happen due to my father in law's health. You can understand my disappointment when we went to get our photo taken and- -The photo came out in a strip instead of the postcard style (fine, I can let that pass) - The background of the photo strip was nothing I got to pick out, it was some pink background (ok fine, minor) - THE NAME on the strip was Mr. & Mrs - Not my inlaws last name!! The attendant had to cut every strip- so basically everyone was leaving with a photostrip but there is no name of the event, date of the event nothing on this strip. The attendant tried to call tech support but did not have much luck. I then asked the attendant if he had the album so that at least my in laws could go home with a memory of the event that night. The attendant told me he usually brings them but there were no notes in my event for him to do so, so he did not bring it, he did take my name and address and said they would mail it to me. I emailed the company post event on 8/22 still have not heard back, further more, no album has shown up yet. Shocker. I do think this company is well meaning, and this may have been a one time thing, but the mark of a company or vendor for me isn't just what they regularly do, but how they respond to adverse events like this- and clearly they have not done a good job, because they have not done Anything. PS we previously used Jackie for our 2020 event and he was wonderful, the attendant Ryan at our event this time was great as well! I just dont know what is happening on the backend.
