The process: I sent her a text message, and she returned my text in about three days asking what I wanted to do. I sent photos of what I wanted, and then we scheduled an appointment time. At the appointment, she went over the the colors she would use. She cleaned my haircut, cutting my hair an inch. Then my hair was bleached, washed, then dyed. Everything was professional and well-communicated. She answered all my questions about the process. I'm pleased with the vibrancy of the colors and how she mixed both blue and purple to make it more dynamic than just blue. Just make sure that you schedule the appointment in advance just in case she is busy and doesn't return your message right away. Overall I would recommend!

Yuri is always so friendly, professional and knows exactly what would look best on me and my hair texture. She's great at layered cuts and gives an amazing blow dry. I've gotten my bf to become a client too, she's also amazing at men's haircuts. I never get any split ends and it always grows out well. I always walk out with lighter and healthier looking hair! Environment is spacious and calming, there's a lot of greenery in the front. It always smells so good here because they use Aveda products. Smells like a spa. I always enjoy the shampooing part because of this. Haircuts range from $40-60, I think it's $40 for short hair, $60 for long hair.

This is my experience regarding an hair cut. 1, hair does grow out. Be adventurous with each visit to the salon. 2, every hair has different textures. Don't expect your style to look same as magazine or your friend. 3, learn how to style your own hair to suit your life style. It doesn't matter how good hair cut is if you don't know how to style it after you leave the salon. Been to many salons in many countries due to the my jobs. And my experience of Jayji salon is positive one.

However, when I asked for a trim and a setting perm of the straight parts of my hair that grew in, what I got was a complete cut and perm. I asked the stylist for what I did so I could maintain the length of my hair; now its at a little past shoulder length. Even while I was having my hair cut, I asked her to not cut it so short, or to put in too many layers. The response I got was "don't worry, it won't turn out too short/thin." Was in the salon for four hours, when in the past similar styles have taken around 2.5 hours longest. Cost me around $200 for an unsatisfying experience. I'd suggest staying away from this salon if you have specific instructions for your hair.

Instead, I left with a white-yellow blonde balayage and harsh money pieces that looked nothing like what I requested. The haircut I received was also noticeably uneven. I ended up going to a different salon the very next day to have my hair corrected. Another major disappointment was the pricing. The salon's website quoted $240 for a haircut and full head of highlights, but I was ultimately charged nearly double because my hair was supposedly "long and thick." In reality, my hair is only mid-length and very thin. Throughout the appointment, I felt there were multiple attempts to upsell me. At one point, Meri, who did my haircut and highlights, tried to sell me Redken shampoo and said, "If you can afford it." I found this comment unprofessional and inappropriate. No customer should be spoken to that way. To make matters worse, Meri later posted edited, FaceTuned photos of me and my hair on her Instagram, which did not accurately reflect the results I received. Overall, I would not recommend this salon to brunettes looking for a natural summer transformation. I left extremely disappointed with both the service and the final result. Attached below are photos ....Including Meri's face tuned photo. (Im smiling because I'm a happy person not bc I'm happy with whatever she did)

Sigh, I hate having to update with a lower rating, especially since I had a nice experience before,…read morebut it wouldn't be right if I didn't honestly share what happened. I came in tonight for a Brow cleanup, and held my lid skin taut like we're always asked to do. I didn't recognize the technician, younger lady, at this visit. I felt like her pressure on my skin was a bit rough, but I figured she was grabbing the lighter hairs and did what she needed to do. She soon asked about a bump on my left lid. I told her that it was (ironically) a scar from a threading gone bad... that I was nicked (at a different business), left with a scab, and that scar was the result. She kept asking if/insisting it was a pimple or blackhead. Let's pause for reaction here:: In all my life, I've never seen a pimple grow on a eyelid (at least never on mine... is that even possible?). Regardless, this scar that I lived through was most definitely from a prior unsuccessful threading incident. It wasn't until I emerged from the chair and looked in the mirror I realized I HAD BEEN NICKED! I asked calmly what happened, as I felt a mild sting (but was kinda used to that sting we get right after threading). She blamed me, for I was pulling too hard, and she clipped the "pimple". (For the record, the last time I was nicked like that, I was blamed for letting go, and my eyelid wasn't taut enough to glide over.) Had she simply apologized, or even acknowledged the slip, I would've let it be. Nope, she tried to gaslight me into thinking it was my fault for tugging "too hard", and insisting my scar was a pimple. Folks, whether the surface of your eyelids are smooth as eggs or bumpy like a moon surface, a good threading technician should be able to adjust their pull, swipe, and pressure adequately, or at the very least GIVE YOU CUES to keep your skin safe from harm. Regardless, I leave the photographic evidence posted. #NoFilter. Stars kept for decent shaping, no wait, and observance of covid safety precautions. Price is now $10.
