I was very nervous about giving it to anyone because this video was priceless because it was of her son who passed away and I couldn't let anything happen to it. After speaking to Stan and Gaby, my fears were put to ease. They walked me right through the process. So, I thought well if they can do that can they help me with a picture of my younger sister and I that was taken at the fair in the early 70's that got water damage to it. I sent them a copy of the original, a copy of the button that also had the picture and I sent them an AI version from Gemini. They restored the picture to the exact original. I order a printed copy and I will surprise that sister with that photo. Now, I am on a roll. So, while on the phone with Gaby, I presented her with the impossible. My sister (the first one in this review) had a graduation picture that was lost. She posted that picture on Facebook. I downloaded that picture to my phone and sent it to Gaby and asked if they could restore it. What makes it impossible, the picture had 3 wallet size pictures in 3 of the corners of the frame that covered some of the graduation picture. They were able to restore it with no problem. They also took one of the wallet size pictures that was the cap and grown picture and created a 8x10 for me. I was simply amazed at how they were able to tears to my eyes. I wish I could post pictures of the before and after because this review doesn't do them justice on what they can do. I will always refer them and go back for any other needs I may have. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Forever Studios. I paid for the "Forever Gold…read moreHD" and "Exclusive HDR Upscaling" add‑on for 16 film reels. When I received the final videos, it was immediately clear that the HDR enhancement did not work. Many reels were very dark with no visible improvement. After researching the issue, I learned that HDR enhancement is not technically possible on underexposed film reels. Older film does not contain the dynamic‑range data needed for HDR, and no software can create detail that was never captured. In other words, the HDR upgrade they sold me cannot function on this type of material. Because of this, I contacted Forever Studios to request a refund for the HDR charge. Here is the exact timeline: * My initial message explained that HDR upscaling cannot work on underexposed film and that the service they sold me was technically impossible. I requested a refund of $85.60 (the HDR charge for all 16 reels). * Their response: "We've shared your message with our Project Manager and Owner... We will follow up with you as soon as possible." No explanation. No answer. No timeline. * My follow‑up: "It's pretty straightforward -- film reels can't accommodate this, so the upsell was inappropriate." No response. * My next follow‑up: "Hello, I have asked several times for a direct answer and have not received one. HDR enhancement is not technically compatible with the type of film reels I submitted. Selling an upgrade that cannot function on this material is an inappropriate upsell. I am requesting a refund of $85.60 for the HDR charge. Please process this refund or provide a clear confirmation of when it will be issued." Still no response. * Phone call: I was told they would "follow up with the technicians to see what went wrong." Nothing "went wrong" -- HDR enhancement simply cannot be applied to this type of film. They never followed up. Summary: * They sold me an enhancement that is not technically possible for film reels. * I provided detailed explanations and multiple follow‑ups. * They acknowledged my messages but never provided a real answer. * They have ignored my refund request entirely, and it is only for the additional $5.00 + tax per reel ($85.60 total). This is not acceptable customer service, and it is misleading to sell an HDR enhancement for material that cannot support it. I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

When I mentioned I wanted to take photos on the National Mall, she let me know I needed to apply for and receive a permit from the National Park Service (we called it our donation fee to keep from getting bitter with NPS). It took longer than expected to get from one end of DC to another due to an unexpected road closure (dignitary motorcade), so we were running about an hour late. I was so grateful Erin was willing to wait for our arrival on a day that is best described as "unseasonably cold". Erin kept the initial portion of the photo shoot moving as she knew those under 7 years old and over 70 years old were expiring fast in the cold weather. She even was able to coax a smile out of Alexandra (my niece) who at 7 months old believes in "stranger danger." My favorite part of the photo shoot was the time my husband and I got to spend "just us" with Erin as it felt fun (and we got to kiss a lot). The photos turned out amazingly beautiful and I loved her creative shots! Erin knew just where to take us on an overcast day! Erin even had a blueberry pie on hand for Pi Day. I found this business online, while searching for someone to scan some old photo negatives onto disks, so I could have them put on canvas. I only had 6 negatives that I needed to have done. We finally found the little shop and then weren't sure, because the name above was different. There are two related businesses under the same roof, making it somewhat confusing if you're driving around, trying to find it. I thought this was going to be a fast process, not more than a few days at most. No such luck. The standard turn-around here was 2 weeks. That was an issue, since I had to have them off to the canvas company in 16 days, and I don't like to do things at the last minute, in case there are any problems. Since there were only 6, they said they would do them faster and not charge me the customary rush fee. I thought this was a very nice offer, and left quite happy. 10 days later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called. They had just finished them. So, I went and picked up the disk and the negatives. First glitch - they had not written down which of the several dozen pics that I wanted, so they did them all. That was okay. Although, when I looked at the disk, I wasn't altogether happy with the quality of the scan. In fact, there was a good size white spot on one of the photos that wasn't there on the original. I went to look at the negative to see if I could find anything on it. Uh-oh! That whole strip of negatives had not been returned. Not good. I called them and almost never got anyone to answer the phone. The guy told me I could call them back on Mon. (this was late Fri.) and they would redo the scan. That wouldn't work, I had to submit them on Sun. So he told me to call the next morning at 9:00. When I did, there was no one there, but they did show up about 30 min. later. It took them quite a while to find the missing negatives, which had been put in the bin of another customer! I got the new scan in my email, very late on Sat. afternoon. The color still wasn't right. I called them immediately, but no one answered. So, I was stuck, I had to send it in. I also had to pay the canvas company an additional fee to clean up the scan. They eventually offered to refund that fee to me. I called them on Monday to see if they could at least return my missing negatives by mail, so we wouldn't have to make the 30 min. trek back up to Boca to pick them up. They said they should be there the next day, maybe two. About 6 days later, I called them back. They told me they would check the tracking. "Hmm...it's not moving." I was told. So she said that I should receive them the next day. Nope. Called back again. She told me that the tracking said that they were due for delivery the next morning and she would send me the tracking info. I never got it. I had the feeling I knew why. I finally did get them the next day. I checked the date that they had been sent, and found that it was the day before. So, the two times she told me that they were on their way and she was checking the tracking, the negatives were still in the studio. I understand glitches, we all have them, one or maybe even two. But telling me you've shipped something you haven't is over the line for me. I'll be needing more scans, but I won't be going back.

We exchanged a few emails/texts to determine the best package (CEO Package) for an updated set of headshots for my professional and social avatars. We did the outdoor shots first, which were the ones I wanted the most. After a number of great outdoor shots were taken, Ivanka quickly set up her backdrop and lighting for an indoor shoot... and I changed outfits.
