I paid Linton $1,500 upfront to fix my engine. He told me the engines I provided didn't work but…read morethey came from a reputable 4-star company that's been in business over 10 years. My car was drivable when I brought it in. After he worked on it, it was left undrivable, with parts unplugged, engine bars removed, and key components missing. When I took it to another mechanic, I showed them the receipts and parts I had purchased for the repair. The new mechanic pointed out that some of the old parts were still on the car meaning the new parts I paid for were never installed. That raised serious concerns: Did Linton keep the new parts for personal use and just take the money? I asked for a refund, and he only gave back $400 despite doing no real work and leaving my car in worse condition. I lost $1,100 and had to pay another shop to replace my engine properly. As a teacher with no second income, this was financially and emotionally devastating. I trusted him because he worked in a shop but that trust was a costly mistake. Please get a second opinion if you've had work done by Linton or plan to. I'm now requesting the remaining $1,100 refund, which is more than fair considering the damage and dishonesty. Don't let this happen to you.

I brought my car in for a few problems, and I recd a call about an hour later telling me what they found, and their recommendations to do some of the work now, and one thing later, as it was not as pressing as the others. They also diagnosed a problem I had been aware of for a while, but my previous mechanic(s) never mentioned. The car was ready 2 hours after the first call, and the cost was reasonable. I do drive new cars, the ones I have owned are 20+ years old and learned many garages will not touch anything older than cars built in the 2000's or younger. My current daily driver is a rare 1991 Jeep Briarwood Wagoneer with 190k on the clock and S.A. Conte has kept the Jeep in top running condition. Sam has bought parts for me and installed ones I have purchased from reconditioned parts suppliers and OEM dealers. I also let him know what I have purchased prior to the scheduled work giving him the option not to install if he has any concerns, this builds respect and trust for both parties. It's the responsibility of the car owner to research problems associated with the model and year concerning recalls or reports pertaining to issues with the vehicle to give the mechanic a complete picture of the repairs required. Many car owners are lazy and will not take the time to educated themselves on how to fix their cars and then complain about the repairs bill paying the mechanic to be Sherlock Holmes trying to located the car issues. Again, the best approach is to communicate with the mechanic and give them all the information about the repair and funds you have budgeted for the work, doing this will reward you with a great relationship with your mechanic and not be just a number when taking to the dealership or large retail repair shops!

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY JACKS FRIENDLY DEMEANOR!!! BEWARE!!! I took my fiancé's Toyota here to get…read morespark plugs replaced and find out if it needed a new serpentine belt as the car was hesitant and jerking when accelerating. Neither one of those things were fixed. When I pulled up I was asked what was wrong and to be done for the second time (first red flag). It took two whole days for Jack the scam artist to do anything to the car at all. What he did was the brakes (which were almost brand new to begin with), took one of my tires, and tell me to come back the next day to get a new tire after giving me one "with a bubble in the wall but it'll be ok for a couple days" even tho I never asked for that. The car still shakes and hesitates and is left way worse then to begin with. Not to mention it reeked of cigarettes as soon as I opened the door and took days to get out. I was told that there was a warranty on the brakes (which no proof of bc it was never on the receipt or anything) so I told my fiancé to reach out to see what can be done to fix it. When my fiancé reached back out to jack he was told that it was "fucking ridiculous" and blocked his number. Needless to say if I could give no stars I would. Idk how he's still running a business that way scamming people and taking money from people not doing honest work. Enjoy that $600 I paid tho I guess? Hope it's worth totally screwing over a family with two small children.
