Let me start off by saying that I pretty much never write yelp reviews unless something extreme has happened - which is exactly the case with Givenchy. I came here immediately from the airport following a red-eye flight from California and definitely did not look like a "typical" high fashion customer to say the least. I was completely blown off and offended by the Gucci sales people, as well as many of the other stores I had gone into. When I finally got to Givenchy, I had just about had it with the attitude of the sales people at Woodbury when I had the most spectacular service at Givenchy. I will admit that I am a long time lover and follower of all things Givenchy and am a bit biased to begin with but I truly feel that it is justified after making my first real purchase. The sales woman, Emily, treated me like absolute royalty from the second I walked in. She asked me about my college and personal life and genuinely cared and was also not pushy about me making a purchase at all. She diligently talked me through all of the bag sizes, styles and prices and was extremely knowledgeable about everything in the store. She wasn't just a good sales person, but a genuinely good person, and I got the same vibe from all of the others in the store as well. It is really clear how different and special the corporate culture and standards are for customer service at Givenchy compared with other places. I certainly did not feel like a "number" as I so often do. I ended up leaving the store before deciding to purchase and Emily continued to be delightful towards me even after not expecting me to purchase. I came back about 20 minutes later and got the small, red horizon bag (regular priced 2490) for over $1000 off!!! and it's the same one as reflected on the Givenchy website! Unfortunately the sample was the only bag in this style left in stock and it had teeny tiny dots (not even recognizable to the normal eye) on the front, but I got an extra 10% off and Emily was sure that I was comfortable with this and allowed me to back out or choose a different bag with absolutely no pressure. She also made a special point to save me an extra $120 by shipping it to my home in a different state rather than being affected by the awfully high NY sales tax. Sounds great right? Well it doesn't end there! My bag arrived today (only one day after being shipped) and Emily provided a personal letter mentioning minute details of our conversation and sent papers elaborating on this history of Givenchy, Audrey Hepburn and the color red (since I had mentioned how these were all passions of mine and something I was interested in). It was truly the best sales experience I have ever had and I work in sales in a luxury fashion firm so this is saying A LOT. Bravo, Givenchy! You've got yourself a lifetime customer! read more
