My son and I bought a takeout medium sized bourbon bacon pizza for $20 during the January 2026 freezing weather. When my son mentioned the price being high, she said she had to pay the heating bill, take orders, wash the dishes and go out in the cold. Dont I want to help her pay the heating bill. This is the answer I would expect from an Italian grandma. I enjoyed the pizza and it inspired me to go home and try to drizzle bourbon sauce on my homemade pizza. The server was really nice she made everything by hand which took a little bit but everything was delicious. There wasn't very much ambience though. We were up with a group of 8 friends and family members last summer. Took 2 hours to get our pizza. Very difficult to keep kids occupied in any restaurant for that long. This place has zero ambiance also. It would take literally $20 to put some pictures on the walls and maybe buy a cheap ficas tree in the corner. Cheap broken tables and folding chairs. Ripped and stained carpet. It is a depressing atmosphere to say the least. Waitress will take 20 minutes to get your drinks, and you should ask for refills when she drops them off as she will not check on you for another 30 minutes. Kids meals and salads took over an hour to come out. As other reviews have stated, it is very expensive and hard to justify another visit. Large pizza with 3 toppings will come close to $30. The only saving grace is that the pizza tasted okay, better than Little Caesars but not by much. Definitely get a carry out if you dare to do business with Guissepies. This used to be one of my very favorite places to get pizza in all of Michigan. Went here the other day - they were only doing "take out". So we ordered and took it to the park. The breadsticks were the same as getting them out of the frozen food section at Walmart. The pizza was still good, but way over priced. I almost wish I hadn't went - because I had memories of this being a great establishment. It would probably been fine -- if I had been charged about 1/2 price of the amount they charged. Over-priced. My order was incorrect and to fix it, the manager/owner told me I could only get a discount on my incorrect order if my server paid for it. There was no one sitting in the restaurant when I walked in, only 2 men waiting for their carryouts. So 40 minutes longer than I was told to get my food, glad they weren't busy! The restaurant has no decor at all, nothing! Not one picture, not one plant, no table cloths, no music. No ATMOSPHERE! LADIES, PLEASE PUT A LITTLE EFFORT INTO YOUR BUSINESS! So my family & i went in at about 6:45pm. We stood there at the "please wait to be seated" sign for about 5 minutes. With staff standing around & only one occupied table. We finally get seated. Waitress comes over after another few minutes & says "do you know what you want?" & we say no we have never been here. We ordered our drinks. She did not get our drinks. She wrote them down. Did not get them. She went & wiped off another table. Um, ok. We watched her putz around for another few minutes, we never got our drinks. We got up and left. We will never go back. This is old-school pizzeria style pizza at its finest. The dough is light and airy, the sauce is perfectly seasoned and the cheese is plentiful. This is not fast-food pizza. If I could give a zero review I would. Customer service is unheard of at this restaurant, I'm all for supporting mom and pop shops but stay away from this pizzeria. They overcharged us by almost $6 and when we told them how messed up that was and that we wanted a refund they just smiled and ignored us. This restaurant experience offered a poor ending to a weekend away. When we arrived, we were told to seat ourselves. After waiting at our table for about 5 minutes, a frazzled "waitress" zoomed over, threw menus down, and said "that girl over there is your server. I'm way too busy to handle another table." We proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for the girl who was previously pointed out to us to finally come over and ask if we had been helped. Obviously there was no communication between the wait staff, since she, herself, had no idea our table was her responsibility. We ordered an appetizer and a medium pizza, which took 45 minutes to arrive. We asked for a side dipping sauce; extra. We wanted to add one topping to our pizza; an extra $3. Excessive nickel and dime-ing. Not only were we there for an hour already, but our bill had been immediately dropped with the food delivery. The pizza was good, however not worth the wait. Our hopes were to grab a quick bite before making a 2-hour trek home. "Quick" would be the last word I would use to describe our experience. We stopped in on a whim at dinner time and when we arrived it looked like two large groups were all waiting at their tables for their orders to come out. So we asked before being seated how long of a wait there would be. It was a red flag, but the waiter assured us it wouldn't be much longer than normal, at the most 20 minutes. We thought that was fair considering the above mentioned fact. It did take about 35 minutes, but again it was understandable so we took it into consideration and waited patiently. There were of course lots of pizzas being cranked out to feed the troops! As we waited, the table next to us asked for milk for their child. They had no milk. What?? No milk? The father ended up walking to a store to bring his child milk for his dinner. We ordered the pizza special, a Maui Wowie and our friend ordered a personal size Hawaiian. Both pizzas were very good and I'd order ours again, although I'd also want to try another pizza choice as well! The service was so-so and again, I understand they were busy. But we were never checked on after our food was delivered, nor were we offered refills on our beverages. There were jalapeño peppers on our pizza so we were dying for refills. We were literally about 10 feet away from the beverage machine and we were also seated where the waiters came and went with their orders to deliver to everyone. We thought about stepping behind the counter to get our own drink refills because when your mouth is on fire and your waiter is busy with another table and hasn't been back to check on you at all, you do think about waiting on yourself! But, we knew we had to wait until anybody at this point walked past our table! We did ask a bus boy only to be told our waiter had to get our drinks, which again was understandable. I think the bus boy mentioned it to another waitress, because a refill was set in front of us although we weren't asked if anyone else needed more. Because our waiter never once came back to check on us or offer us refills, I'm deducting 2 stars, But if I was just rating the food, it was very good and I'd give 4 stars, but as we know, it's not just the food, it's the service and overall experience as well. This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and I once got food poisoning from a very questionable burrito place - BUT I EXPECTED THAT!!! I'm sad that we stopped here. It was RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE for the GFS products we were served right out of the box, the pasta was overcooked, the bathrooms were gross, and everything we ordered came out at a different time (we were one of 2 tables in the place). And they served bottled water WITHOUT ASKING IF WE WANTED IT...at $1.75/per. I feel bad for any unsuspecting person who happens to stop here. I refuse to ever go here again. I grew up going here in the summers. Food was always good but always over priced. But at least the service was good. Since joe died and his kids and wife took over it has gone full force downhill. The waitstaff and kitchen staff are the laziest people I have ever laid eyes on. Not to mention the slowest. (Second sign) so my brother and I proceed to this top notch establishment to pick up our pizza. We walk in to a old crusty woman slinging her gold pies in the back. She hands us our order and says $95.95. My brother and I look at each other in horror. I asked her to repeate the price and she said "do you want the pizza or not". Now if I could do it all again I would have thrown the pies at her and stood outside and made sure no one purchased anything from them the rest of the night. Seeing it was a Friday and we were in a good mood being on vacation with family I decided to take the high road. Now for all you people that are thinking support small business and stop complaining. This is the exact opposite way you should run a small business and support the community. It also has nothing to do with the . I'm lucky enough to not have to worry about that. Go somewhere else. This place never ceases to amaze me, in a bad way. The customer service lacks very much. Sometimes the waitress is too busy to come over and bring menus. They have a pizza special sign in their window. If you don't mention the special from the window when you call in your pizza order it will not be honored when you go to pick up your pizza and mention it then. Be sure to go by and see what the special is before you even call in your order. The pizza is decent most of the time. However sometimes they'll use some kind of a orange cheese on the pizza in addition to the mozzarella. This pizza place used to be really good years ago. Don't show up right when they open up at 4 pm. I have found that sometimes they do not turn on the pizza ovens until 4 p.m. and they'll require time to warm up before they can put a pizza in. I came here for a dinner with my daughter on a Saturday evening around 6:30. Soon after sitting down, I noticed that there was one waitress that was frantically trying to serve the whole restaurant. There was a small girl trying to help (maybe 11-12 years old). It took 15 minutes to get a lemonade and coke. The table next to me was being served their meals at different times about 10 minutes apart. I believe there was two people working the kitchen. How can I give it 4 stars knowing all of this? This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the greatest pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The dough is cooked deliciously golden brown with fluffy and crispy edges. Mounds of mozzarella cheese and toppings. A flavorful, but not overpowering, sauce ties the whole thing together. Incidentally, they have really good gluten free crust, if that is a consideration for you. Don't get pasta here. Don't get a salad or breadsticks. Get a pizza. You may be frustrated with your wait. Make sure you mention the "special" on their window when ordering!!! If you don't, you WILL be charged FULL price and the owner and staff working there will argue with you! We drove by this restaurant during the day and saw a sign in their window for a large pizza with three toppings for $16.99, so my daughter called and ordered a pizza later in the evening. She mentioned the price in the window; however, when we got there, the woman (I won't call her a lady, she doesn't have that much class) rung our pizza up at full price! When I mentioned we ordered the special, she argued with my daughter and I that we had to mention the special when ordering... my daughter DID! The pizza cost us FULL price ($5 more) because the woman was not willing to budge on the price. For me, it's not about the $5 that blew my mind as much as the lack of customer service! If the other restaurants in town weren't closed, we would have told them to keep their pizza. I will NOT go back to this restaurant and neither will my parents that live five minutes away. If I could rate this place a ZERO, I would! Oh, they bash other restaurants as well! So we were looking for a place to eat in caseville on a Monday night. We had a very difficult time finding anything that was open in caseville other than a questionable bar down the street. We decided to eat at Giuseppes basically just on default. We were actually pleasantly surprised. We used to eat here quite a bit but that was about 10 years ago. We haven't eaten here or gotten take out since then. We Decided to order a 3 item medium pizza which when it came , it was actually quite good. The crust was chewy yet crisp on the outside, the sauce was good in the toppings were plentiful. My son had the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs and there was also quite good as well. There sauce is homemade and made fresh every morning. My mom got the lasagna Which seemed to have the cheese only baked on top but she said it was quite good. My other son got the fish-and-chips and quite honestly it was OK but you can tell they did not bread it there. So, is it the best itallian food I have ever had? No. However it was very good For a family of 5 that were starving to death. Will we go back? Definitely. After reading some of the other posts, it sounds like perhaps the long wait times might be because the kitchen can be a little slow which was not our problem this evening. I would recommend it Above a number of restaurants in town. It is a little pricey, but I have never been afraid to pay a few extra dollars for decent food. Took an hour after ordering to get our food . While the food was good, it was not worth the wait. During checkout, a customer picking up their take-out was waiting for their salad to get made. The waitress preparing the salad touched the food with her bare hands and did not wash her hands. The customer rejected the salad and requested a refund.
