From the plants outside the store, you immediately know that this is a store that is not well maintained. As soon as I went into the store I addressed the manager about the plants that were drooping from being in the sun all day and needed to be watered. He responded "They were watered yesterday." Letting the plants outside the store that greet the customers wither and die does not inspire confidence in what awaits the customer inside of the store. The meats in the refrigerator section were already turning brown in their packaging. I spoke with two other customers, one said "I noticed." the other said "Definitely not top quality." Pricing was also an issue, with the exception of a few select items, this store appeared to be more expensive than other stores. My parents used to rave about Meat Farms, and I used to shop here all the time, but had not been back in well over a year, but it seems that the store has gone from a 5 to a 1. I come to the store for long time I like the quality of your product and I spend good money there but today after I did my shopping went back home I found that the 3 package bita bread I bought has mold when I called the store to let them know some body answered I explained to him and not complaining just to be careful his respond was negative he didn't even say sorry about that is that how you satisfy your customers read more

Tried both varieties of potato salad in the deli department. Plus a crab cake. All three were awful. Especially the German potato salad. I have no idea what that was. I think it had green peppers in it. The regular potato salad was clearly outsourced. It had that chemical taste homemade never has. Big disappointment. read more

Are these people for real? I'm sorry, they can't be. I was right next door, and didn't feel like driving to Stop & Shop, a mile out of my way. Big mistake. I don't rate things like grocery stores, until now where I feel like I have to. These people's prices are INSANE. I have never walked into a grocery store so expensive, or a Meat Farms for that matter. No wonder why there was BARELY any customers in the store. I saw more than a few things that I wanted were a couple more dollars at Stop and Shop - that was enough. And what threw me off was an item was priced at 10.99 that at Stop and Shop is normally 6.99. I mean, really? Not only is this grocery store small, and doesn't carry MUCH variety. But maybe if you brought your prices down you'd probably make more money. I did think some of their FRESH produce was an alright price, but that was it. Unless youre a millionaire, this store isn't for you. read more

2nd time I brought a butcher cut porter house steak $18 First time I wrote off as you can't make it up. Tonight I bbq same again I marinated for 2,days. Horrible. Veins grizzle and chewy. I just called and spoke to the Manager. He said " I shouldn't have brought the butcher cut thick one! I said why, he said too thick! That's bs. I know my beef. That grade was below choice. Called No Roll. It's garbage. Shop Rite has better steaks. He didn't care and hung up said whatever. Go elsewhere for steak. Their sausage, well some of it is actually good. I hate this market!!!!! The deli people dont know how to take directions. I say cut the Turkey very paper thin and he gives me the thickest slices I've ever seen, so I left it and he looked at me like I was crazy. I'm not paying for something I dont want sorry bud!!!! The meats look so gross. This market is just set up weird. If it's an emergency and I need something that comes from a factory like chips, soda, cereal, milk etc. I'll come here but if not I wont. read more

Commack Meat Farms. A Wonderful accent for your shopping needs. I've been to a few of the Meat Farms Commack is near to my home town and have been here many times. May Farms has specific items that I use for my holiday parties and client get-togethers. As well as my everyday needs. It is one of several stores that I will visit. The 6-foot Hero is Really Good Here They load the sandwich up Nice and thick with Meats of your choosing or you can get the standard American or Italian. I have ordered this several times and was pleased with the quality of the Bread is flavorful and of a great texture and that makes the sandwich. Please order The Party Hero ahead of time the Bread needs to be specially ordered. Meat Farms also has Great sales on cold cuts, when I get a pound of turkey I always have them split it into two halves and packaged separately lasts longer. I advise getting to the Deli counter early and taking a number right away. They get Very Busy. The Biscotti is not just Stella D'oro. There are many other special Foods here. I get My San Marzano Tomatoes here and other canned Delicacies from the Mediterranean. Pastas here are of Great variety and are inexpensive Meat Farms has different unique brands from their own sources and distributors. I especially like the fruits veggies and produce here they're much larger and of a different quality than you see in the supermarkets also are the prices are much better. I checked out my order and the cashier was quick efficient and courteous. Before they were North Shore Farms & Uncle Giuseppe's,There Was Meat Farms! Literally the rudest staff ever. I walked in on a Sunday about an hour before close (according to their normal hours online and written on the door). As soon as entered this man standing right by the door shouted- 'ya gotta hurry, we close in 5 mins, no exceptions' so I asked him why the door says an hour later and he said 'we decided to close early today because of a holiday' in a super aggressive tone. Since he was so anxious to get us out of there I decided to ask him where a few produce items were to speed up my visit. His response was to shrug his shoulders and point at his watch. As soon as five mins passed he went around and abruptly told everyone to leave. I honestly don't understand why he thinks it's acceptable to speak to people like that ? This happened about 6 months ago and I haven't returned since. This place use to be our go-to produce spot but it's not worth dealing with the rude people who work there. read more

Meat Farms consistently has great deals on produce the only catch it that you need to be very careful and look throughly at what you're buying. Today I came in and saw that grapes were on sale for 99 cents a pounds. I grabbed two bags and when I got home I noticed every grape in both bags were rotten. On the other hand, there have been times when I hit the jackpot with fruits and veggies here. Very hit or miss. The meat department has great prices on cold cuts so I tend to buy them here. The chicken breasts used to be $1.99 a pound and they just raised their prices to $2.49 a pound. Still cheaper than most places and if you can bring the meat to the butcher counter and they will slice all the fat off for you. Regular groceries tend to be a little bit more pricey than you're average Waldbaums or Stop and Shop prices so I tend to come here strictly for produce and meats. read more

I won't ever buy meat here...it looks plain old nasty...and more expensive than I'd like. HOWEVER, it's one of the only places in the area to get cheap fruit and veggies. This is the only reason I go there. Everything else in the store are just brand name goods at expensive prices. If I want canned or prepackaged things, I head to Target or Walmart because they sell the same things for half the price. The manager however is a real a$$. I've brought things back a few times because they've been open, and they refuse to return the money. You're just stuck getting a "credit" or exchange, when all I want to do is take my money and not go back. But until I find a place where I can get cheaper veggies, I guess I'll have to keep going here. read more

I have been a loyal customer of the Commack store for years.They sell quality produce and meats. The butcher counter is open and they cut my chicken into thin cutlets. The meats are always fresh. The deli counter runs very efficiently. The staff is friendly. They have fresh baked bread. All the checkout lines are open and it makes for a better shoppind ecperience. Most of the checkout staff is from our community. The managers are always visible. I highly recommend shopping at Giuntas. read more

This Giunta's location is in COMMACK, not Kings park (due to Yelp's endless ability to improperly track locations on LI, you can't check in here). I urge you not to go to 134 Old Commack in KP or you'll be trying to score produce at someone's residence; Yelp may have a lawsuit on its hands, too. For some reason I was always under the impression that GMFs were far less trashy than this one was. Shame that even the occasional bargain wouldn't bring me back here. read more

Years back, I arrived too early in the morning and the store owner saw me and let me come in to shop. Never forgot that and while I don't expect it, it sure was helpful! Friendly deli counter staff and they are fast at slicing. Items are packaged neatly as well. Fresh Italian bread and ravioli, stuffed shells and manicotti are very good. Prices on general groceries are high unless on sale. However, this store has a problem with mislabeling items. For example at the deli counter they advertise fresh crab cakes. Problem is when you buy the item the ingredient label lists no crab at all. The cakes are made with imitation crab meat and crab flavor. That isnt fresh crab and it is deceiving. I've brought this to the attention of management twice over the last few months and it remains the same. Butcher department also mislabels meat. T bone steaks are often labeled as porterhouse steaks. The mislabeling is a problem, the management not caring about the mislabeling makes it worse. read more

Great store except for the cashier staff and their lack of skill or care when it comes to bagging groceries. I think it's a great gesture and set-up that the cashiers bag the groceries while they scan items but putting a 5lb bag of potatoes on top of anything in the same grocery bag is not appreciated. I've gone home with ripped plastic bags, bruised fruit and damaged packaging due to terrible bagging. I'm also constantly repacking items after they pack them at the checkout. Maybe the cashiers could put their phones away while scanning items; it may improve the bagging. With that, I do keep going back as I said it's a great store, with good quality produce and prices. read more

Rude staff no interest in customer service and TWO different times i found hairs in my salads (German Potato Salad, and Broccoli Robe)..LONG black hairs, i have blonde hair. .brought it back and was told NO REFUND. The salads, five times i threw them away on different occasions rancid, but gave them numerous tries as their prices aren't bad. The deli manager is a total arrogant asshole as well. I asked him his name he said "whats the difference". They also reuse food and items that have been on the floor. I was there last week and from the outside of the case i saw Hams and a turkey that fell on the floor and no one cleaned it off they put it right back in the case LOL. Most of the guys have extreme acne there and look they haven't showered in weeks. Another shithole. Guess why their prices are so good. read more

I've read the complaints and really don't believe any of them..not when it comes to the Commack location at least. I'm there at least 3 times a week because the experience is always very good. Unlike massive chains you never wait on line more than 6 mins. The staff are great, I find the meat is superior to the major chains, the butchers always ready to help, the produce selection is superior and less money than elsewhere. I would do all my shopping at Commack Meat-farms but for items like spices,paper goods and frozen foods which are limited. read more

I live in Kings Park. I am willing to drive to Giunta's and pass the nasty, dirty obnoxious attitude places on the way here. This is a great place to shop. Especially their meat dept. Their meat is always fresh and so colorful. They have some items that are pre made. All you have to do is go home and pop it in the oven. For example chicken breast that are stuffed with spinach and cheese also Chicken sliders. There bottom roasts and other roasts are unbelievable. They also have a home made crumb cake that is delivered once a week which is better then home made. It usually sells out as soon as its put out. The produce department has a huge selection of fresh veggies. I can honestly say I have NEVER had a bad experience here. My three year old enjoys picking out the cucumbers or fresh corn. One thing I must mention is the manager. I don't know his name but he is always willing to help you find something. If I ask where they keep the snapple he will walk me right over to it. Not like those big obnoxious stores where they point or tell you what isle and your looking for it for a half hour. The manager is always, always friendly and has a smile on his face. He will just come up to you and ask you if you need help with something. You definitely don't find that kind of customer service anymore. The manager is the person who told me what day and time the crumb cakes come in each week. I highly recommend a visit to this local market. You won't feel rushed and everyone is smiling!! Love Love Love. For several years I had a shopping love affair with Pat's in East Northport. That was until I kept taking home fruit that was either on the verge, or moldy in the packaging. Shopping around, I found Giunta's, and I may never look back. The veg is fresh. There is good fruit selection, and they move it fast enough that it doesn't rot. Their meat is very well priced. You have to buy it in bulk, though. So $1.99/lb skinless, boneless chicken breasts are a good deal, but you may find you can only buy a minimum of 5 lbs of it. You have to take it home and separate it. Their butchers are very generous. I often buy pork shoulder, and their butchers will separate the skin and bone for me. I've stood there waiting as their butchers fileted chicken breasts for people - about five lbs of it. I should also mention that their cold cuts are competitive. It's a good, honest grocery store.
