The store is divided into a few different regions of the world, including Asian, Indian, African, Latin, and Middle Eastern, and there's good variety in each section. They even have some pretty good frozen options, for when I don't feel like cooking from scratch. If you haven't been to World Food Market, you should definitely go. They have tons of hard-to-find items, and even if you don't THINK you need to buy anything, you'll probably end up taking home something new and interesting.

I personally talked with Brandy in catering, and Tina in the bakery. They couldn't have been more helpful. I wasn't exactly sure how much food to order, since this is the first time I had ever done this, and Brandy talked me into down sizing what I thought I needed, and I'm so glad she did, I would have had WAY to much food. It was delivered on time, and with the delivery drivers help, we were set up in no time. Everyone enjoyed the food, AND the CAKE. I live near Sycamore, Il, and I also talked with Roxanne in catering at the Sycamore store, who was also a great help guiding me with food that I purchased from that store. Reminded me of Covid or some severe snowstorm. Walmart should talk to the employees picking the delivery or pickup preparation. They park dead center in an aisle and give attitude when you ask to get by. Like "excuse me" triggered them. Then there is a random spot check of your receipt on your way out. We queued up to have the gal look at our receipt but the guy behind us was too impatient and just rode on by her. I asked her "doesn't everyone get checked? Or is it optional?" She said it really shouldn't be optional but that's how some folks are.

Now they've expanded a lot and have a ton of different stuff: from fresh mozzerella to high quality chocolate. And still with the cheap milk. We come here all the time! If it's your first time shopping at an Aldi, there are two vital things to keep in mind; First, bring a quarter. You'll use it to borrow a shopping cart. You'll get your quarter back when you've returned the cart safely to the corral. Second, BYOB. Or don't. Aldi sells bags for around ten cents each. I prayed for an Aldi when I was doing all of my own grocery shopping. For as long as I'm staying with my parents, I'll never turn down a trip to this great discount grocery store!

That said, It's exponentially better than the Walmart in Moline, and that's saying something. However, I do have to ding them on cleanliness - sometimes it feels like you need a hazmat suit just to touch the grocery carts or baskets. And don't even get me started on the personal shoppers - they tend to obstruct the aisles and convey annoyance towards customers. It can be frustrating when you're trying to navigate through the store and find what you need, but the personal shoppers seem to be more of an obstacle than a help. Overall, if you're in a pinch and need to grab something quick, this Walmart will do the trick - just be prepared to lower your standards a bit.

I placed a Walmart order for delivery, but it was treated as a curbside pickup order. I am disabled…read moreand physically unable to pick up an order, which I clearly explained to customer support. The chat initially indicated that cancellation was in process, then said the order was not eligible for cancellation. A representative told me I would have to wait until 8:00 p.m. for the store to cancel it if I did not pick it up. I also called customer service, was told the issue would "take some hours," and spent approximately 20 minutes on hold after requesting a supervisor. No supervisor joined the call. The order was eventually canceled, but the eventual cancellation did not cure the service failure. I was left trying to resolve a time-sensitive problem involving an order I could not physically access, without a clear or timely answer. The experience was stressful enough that I canceled my Walmart membership. Walmart should explain how a delivery order came to be treated as pickup and establish a more effective way to help customers whose disabilities prevent them from using pickup, and have requested delivery. Otherwise, what is the point of paying for a membership?
