Three purchases and I think it's about time I gave a review for Derbyshire…read more.. When we started searching for furniture for our new house a few years ago Derbyshire popped up on just about every list I checked and had plenty of great reviews. Now that we've made a few of our own purchases I totally understand the praise this small business gets. The shop is small but mighty and packed with so many good pieces. If your style leans traditional - they've got it. If your style leans more contemporary/modern - they've got it. Plus a few things in between that could go in either direction and work with just about any style or decor. Everything is solid wood and totally customizable. You can pick your stain or paint plus your hardware (should you order something with hardware, of course). The couple that owns the shop have always been very kind and very patient, answering all the questions... especially when I was coming in every other week for too many weeks to look at dressers before I finally made up my mind. Lead time was accurate, delivery days/times were accommodating and the guys that arrived to place our items were totally courteous. For our last order/delivery the guys didn't leave until they leveled our dressers perfectly. I didn't even have to ask.. they just did it and that's how a good delivery and install team should operate. Truly, I only have good things to say about Derbyshire. Next piece of wood furniture that we need I will definitely be stopping in Derbyshire first to check things out.

"Let's ask Sue" is our new mantra for all of our decorating needs. I'm being total honest. We…read morerecently went shopping for new master bedroom furniture and décor and my wife and I got totally overwhelmed with the myriad of choices available. Dazed and confused from a long day of wondering around all the big box stores and being stalked, we finally stopped in White House Living. We walked into an amazing showroom that had unique pieces throughout. We stopped in the doorway not knowing if we should go inside (and be overwhelmed, again) or run! Then Sue greeted us. Having told her about our day, she reassuringly sat us at her desk and talked to us, not at us. She asked about style, color, functionality, and budget. Her repour eased and focused us. With her many years of design experience, Sue is very efficient in her approach to the process. Her advice and guidance were invaluable. She met with us for the afternoon and helped select furniture and accessories for our bedroom. "Let's call Sue" We had such a pleasant experience we decided to meet with Sue for our living room and dining room remodel. We built-up such a nice relationship with Sue that this time went smoothly. We had paint color anxiety and Sue said: "well you have a beautiful grey in your bedroom, how about this color? It's called Griege." Perfect match to our new floor. On to the furniture. Easy-peasy! All the designers at White House Living are pleasant and approachable. You can tell they truly love designing. As they walked by they would stop and discuss our selections and give their advice and speak honestly. "Shopping" at WHL made us feel like part of a design team that collaborated to make our decisions easy. No more big box stores for us. We will always go back to White "Home" Living and Sue!

I rarely write reviews, but Seelas deserves a 5+ star rating! My family have been customers at…read moreSeelas for many years (generations) because of their product knowledge and EXCELLENT one-on-one customer service, which unfortunately is not often found in stores today. The team is there to guide you throughout your home projects and supply needs. If a product is unavailable, alternative suggestions always presented or custom order placed. A++++ EXPERIENCE: My most recent order was placed online for pickup before July 4 weekend. It was a small order including a gallon of Benjamin Moore paint and a few brushes. The store was about to close for the holiday weekend and I did not have the opportunity to pick up my order yet. I missed a call from Seelas and a VM was left reminding me that the store would close for the weekend. By the time I saw and listened to the message, they were closed and I thought my project would have to hold until they reopened the following week. Later that evening, without any communication by me, the paint and supplies were delivered to my front doorstep!!! ...WOW. I am unaware of any other business that would go above and beyond like this!! Keep small businesses alive & SHOP HERE.. you won't regret it! #CustomerforLife THANK YOU.
