Food was typical Giordanos quality so I loved that. Unfortunately, even though I ordered food at 3:11 for 6:30 pickup they completely mismanaged their orders before the Bears playoff game. Everyone was waiting more than 15 minutes for their food. People came in complaining that they had ordered food 35 minutes beforehand and still had to wait. The pizza literally came out 58 minutes late, nearly 4 hours after I ordered. The front desk kid was amazing at fending off the customers but the back of house is a mess! When I spoke to the manager all I got was excuses. He should have acknowledged that they screwed up and comped us something. I would guess that this location won't last long with leadership like this. read more

I really wish I had read the reviews--especially the honest ones that remain after others appear to have been deleted--before visiting the North Aurora location. While I was there, the manager charged a Black woman with a party of six an automatic 20% gratuity, citing restaurant policy. Shortly afterward, I (a white woman) came in with a party of six and was charged 18%. The automatic gratuity itself is questionable, since this is not a traditional full-service restaurant: customers order at the counter, there is no server, drinks are neither brought to the table nor refilled, and the food is carried out from a kitchen about 10 feet away. The other patron approached me to ask what gratuity percentage I had been charged. That is how we realized we had been charged differently for parties of the same size. She told me she planned to raise the issue with the manager, Kris H., who had rung up both of our orders. After packing up my food, I went to the restroom. When I came out, the other patron told me that the manager had acknowledged the discrepancy and charged my card an additional amount to bring my gratuity up to 20%, without speaking to me or asking for my permission. When she questioned how he could charge my card without consulting me, he reportedly said it was not a problem because he still had my card on file. The manager then came over, apologized, and handed me a new receipt confirming that he had charged my card again after the original transaction. I find it deeply concerning that my card was charged an additional amount without my authorization. The inconsistent treatment of two customers also raises serious concerns about racial bias. read more

The crust was crumbly. Almost like they accidentally gave us gluten free or something. We had the same pizza last week and was sooooo good. We were excited to finally find a place in north aurora we can go to weekly. Also we ordered an XL and they gave us an L. They didn't charge us for an XL so it's fine. It's so disappointing because north aurora doesn't have any good pizza places. My kids didn't even eat but 1 piece of this because the crust is so bad. read more

While the pizza was good, the dine-in experience was not so good. My comparison is the location in Oswego. No table service, no ice in cups, no soda fountain or free refills. NO free water!!! The bill was $30 higher than the other location for the same order. I recommend take out only here and avoid the dine-in. They also do not accept rewards for Giordanos. The service was friendly. On 12-27-25 my husband went online to place an order. The website allows you to make any specific changes in the comments section. He requested 1/2 of the pizza without onions & mushrooms. He gets back home and the pizza has all ingredients on the whole pizza. He calls to talk to the manager who then tells him the comments does NOT TRANSLATE any changes to the kitchen. Manager Jose ask him to bring the pizza back and he wouldn't MAKE another one because it's not their fault. My husband explained to him they have an issue with their software. Manager Jose still didn't understand that it's on the restaurant. Then my husband said can my family just eat this one and he would come back and get a sausage and green peppers so we would not have to wait on another pizza. Mr. Jose was very argumentative and would not do it. He then went on to say that it's the company policy that they could do that. Food was somewhat okay seems like everyone that walks in on this place had an issue about orders not being done on time since they ordered several hours before , I can understand sometimes you get a little Behind since there is quite some traffic but even My thin crust regular pizza for one person took 1 hour and 25 minutes , upper management need to do way better than that not even want to think about coming back to this place. read more

Last week, we called and paid ahead, because we were going to watch a movie. We budgeted enough time to sit down, then eat, and finally to drive to the movie theater. 1) when we arrived we had to wait an extra 30 minutes for our order. 2) when our order arrived, the order was in a to go box, instead of dining in. 3) we found hair. We were promised 30% discount for the inconvenience. 3) ultimately, we were given 15% off instead of the full promised 30%. 4) we decided on another movie. Then requested some paper plates. But offered two napkins. 5) the manager was obviously the manager because he consistently chastised the employees for offering good customer service with angry customers. This included us. Ordered from their website at 5:40pm. 7:30pm came around and still no delivery. Decided to call. Number didnt work. At 8pm I drove to the store. Apparently their website doesnt communicate with their store and they never got my order, but charged my card for the ~$75 order with delivery fees and tip. The lady at the desk said she couldnt refund my money and i had to contact corporate. Its been 3 days and corporate still hasnt responded. Overall awful experience. Sal, the owner treats his employees terribly and does not respect them. Sal parks in the handicapped parking spot without a parking slip. Takes advantage and embarrasses employees daily. Sal was constantly late on employee paychecks. Would not recommended this restaurant to anyone. read more

We called on 12/22 to place an order for pick up on Xmas Eve. As the order was being placed, we were told that it was unusual to place the order ahead of time but they would do it anyway - thought this was odd - but went along. Order was paid for and pick up date of 12/24 and time was confirmed several times during call. Later during the evening of 12/22, the restaurant called to say our order was ready for pick up and the caller was the same person we spoke with to place the order. We kindly reminded the caller of our discussion earlier and the pick up date and time. They seemed puzzled and then abruptly hung up. A few minutes later, the same person called back to say the order would be ready on 12/24. Again, very odd. On 12/24, we called the restaurant to confirm the order and pick up time. The caller acknowledged there was an "issue" with the order and placed the call in hold for 5 minutes to check on the order. This was a different person who confirmed the order would be ready at the pick up time. Upon picking up the order, it was quickly evident the food was not fresh and rather refrigerated / frozen after it was wrongly prepared two days prior. Cucumbers in salad were brown, lettuce was wilted and moist. Lasagna was tasteless and had a consistency of soup. Garlic bread was a rock. Understand all new places have to work out the kinks but the service and food yield zero stars. Unfortunate this place is masquerading as Giordano's because it is very clearly not. read more
