If you've worked with a lot of folks in the trades, this is very much the exception to the rule, and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Lou quickly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the details and a date, we were off and running. We had some damage and discoloration on our white oak floors, and we wanted to sand and refinish them. Lou was helpful as we got together the paperwork my building required to get it done. On the agreed upon day, his guys showed up on time, and while they weren't the excellent communicators that he is (their English wasn't great), they were conscientious and obviously knew what they were doing. Lou said the work would take 1-2 days, and they were done in just a day. We had a minor hiccup after the fact, but Lou immediately investigated the issue, and handled it well. I'll definitely be going straight to Buono's next time I need any flooring work done.

The morning of my appointment, I received a call from NJ Refinishing Tile and Tub stating that they had to cancel my appointment and would be unable to provide service "because the boss refuses to go to downtown Jersey City". I canceled plans that I had that morning and expected to have my tub reglazed. Instead, I had to receive that phone call 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive. This company is unprofessional, unethical, and untrustworthy. The rep stated that "my boss goes to other part of Jersey City, but he won't go downtown -sorry." Don't bother conducting business with this company because they may discriminate against you based on where you live or not show up after they change their mind for no apparent reason. Maybe I should contact the Better Business Bureau? What a waste of a morning and waste of time contacting NJ Refinishing Tile and Tub. Do Not Support This Business.

Wanted my floors polyurethaned to add some durability. Very quick process, they gave me an estimate…read moreright away and came out to do the work pretty soon after. Unfortunately never had any discussion about options and what coating would work best for what i want as well as pros/cons of different polyurethanes. A crew showed up, got right to work and left. After a couple days i noticed imperfections in a couple of the rooms so i reached back out to them. They were very quick to respond and sent the crew out the same day, they inspected the floors and ended up doing another coat at no cost. Floors came out great. Just wish there was a little more communication/information, but i would recommend them.
