You can tell she enjoys doing this and takes pride in her work. She isn't someone just going through the motions. I am very impressed with my brows and the overall experience. A little run down of what happens - you make a consult appointment and then go in for the consult. She explains the process and actually outlines the areas where your brows should be. If you decide to proceed, you then make an appointment for the microblading. This appointment takes approx. 1 1/2 hours. I will admit that it is slightly uncomfortable when she first starts but she then adds a numbing cream and you can no longer feel it. You then make your appt for approx 6 weeks for a fill. Riki gives you a detailed sheet with what to expect and do over the next few weeks. She also gives you the items needed for the initial few weeks - cleanser, ointment to be applied. You cannot exercise to where you sweat for 2 weeks - you've been warned ladies! LOL - this part was a little frustrating for me but I got my run done in the morning before going and just knew what to expect and thought about long term and how I didn't want to impact the look, plus I just spent all of that money, there was no way I was damaging her awesome work! The second week, I had a little flaking and they were a little itchy. Overall, a great experience and I would highly recommend going here, if you are considering microblading.

Don't even think about booking anyone else. Riki is the best and she books up quick. She was…read morerecommended to me by numerous people in the Finger Lakes area and I'm so happy I went with her. I was always afraid that my wedding makeup would end up looking too overdone, but Riki completely dispelled those fears. I've never seen some deftly transition between makeup styles. For my bridesmaid who wanted it heavier, she got it. For my mom who doesn't wear makeup and wanted just a touch of it, she got it. If you explain to Riki what you want (even in general terms) she makes it happen. She's a makeup magician! And such a calming presence too. Truly, can't thank her enough for making me feel and look like myself on my wedding day!

So much so that her makeup ended up being free due to so much miscommunication even the DAY OF. Unprofessional as well, as workers were being yelled at in front of us because no one would take responsibility for the screw up. They could not figure out who owed what because they did not read the contract or list until after the fact of girls having the services done, which caused for much whispering to other workers and the owner, again in front of all of us. Also asking girls to come back to pay more because they received services they did not ask for. For instance, we were told we could not do eyelashes due to there not being enough time and that they would charge $15 for them. Ridiculous! But then day of we were all offered (???). Also told that we could only do traditional makeup then a couple of us ended up getting sprayed with airbrush and had to pay more - if you are not used to getting professional makeup done you have no idea what's going on you sit there and let the artist do their thing - again more miscommunication by the salon, not the bridal party. Makeup and hair for majority of the girls ended up having to be fixed before the actual ceremony. Waste of time and money for non lasting $75 an updo and $45 to $75 for makeup. I was forced to choose a star rating by Yelp, otherwise this review would contain no stars.

I came to Syracuse on business last month with grey hair everywhere! Eeakk!…read more I found Kaitlyn and texted her for an appointment for right when I got off the plane and she was so accommodating! She matched my color, trimmed and styled my hair and then she even did my makeup! We also had a great conversation about being entrepreneurial women! I felt so amazing and ready to start my business trip with confidence! Thank you Kaitlyn!! I will book with you every time I come to work in Syracuse!

I'll forever be grateful for Kaitlyn as she saved my hair!…read more I was previously going to a salon in downtown Syracuse that completely botched my hair. I was in my 3rd session of lightening from a dark brunette when they over toned it and it turned a greenish gray. I simply asked to have the toner stripped and I was refused service. I couple days later I found Kaitlyn and she helped me get my hair back to being healthy and strong! She clearly explained my options and worked with me to find the best solution! As survivor of chemo I'm very protective of my hair. So while this botched dye job would be whatever to some it was a big deal to me. I've continued to see Kaitlyn for last 3 years and I always leave feeling happy and beautiful! She's a great stylist that will find that compromise between what you want and what she can do. She uses amazing products that leave your hair crazy soft and smell unreal! And she talks to you, I mean really talks to you. Not that painful small talk stuff. She invests wholeheartedly in her clients and I trust her completely with my hair! I can't say enough good things! Definitely book your appointment with her!

I've been here twice - once for a massage and once for a mani/pedi. The for the mani/pedi: They…read morehad no slippers for my feet so I had to walk around barefoot after the pedi (to the mani table). There were no yoga blocks for the pedicure so I had to hold my leg in the air by myself for ten minutes at a time. That was a workout for me, and I know my mom wouldn't have been able to do it. They have no dryers (!) so when your hands are done you can either blow on your nails with your mouth or sit and wait for them to air dry. For the mani they sit you on a short, uncomfortable bench and pull the table away from you so you're leaning outward and hurting your back. Also, they don't take your payment until afterward, so your nails (which aren't fully dry because there's no dryer) get ruined trying to get into your wallet. Re the massage: it was a combo sauna/massage experience and they offered a threadbare robe with someone else's hair on it. They expect you to wait in the sauna until your masseuse is ready. I ended up calling the front desk from my cell phone to ask what was going on. I was escorted to an open area where I had to wait and everyone was dressed except for me (I don't mind wearing a robe if we're all in a spa, but this was just weird). And I was carrying my wet boots, clothes, and purse with me while trying to stay covered in my very short robe. When they were finally ready for the massage I had to ask for help carrying everything into the room. Just not a great experience. The massage was okay but it was too light and she never asked if the pressure was okay. Also, if you at all need to hold onto a railing down the stairs, DON'T USE THEIR STAIRS. The railing is not properly installed. If you are holding onto it while going down, at one point it sits flush against an overhang and you will jam your fingers between the railing and the overhang and hurt yourself. They do have an elevator, so definitely ask to use that. Also, twice there was no one at the front desk (reception) and I had to yell loudly to get someone to come to the front (no one could hear over the hair dryers). Will not be going back and I recommend you don't, either!

I received a gift certificate and as I have never been to this establishment before I decided to go…read morewith the signature facial because it seemed like a safe bet and it was fully covered by my certificate ($75) I called to make the appointment and was told for $75 I would get the signature facial including extractions. I asked if I would be seeing a licensed Esthetician and assured Gina Marie was. This is how the actual appointment went. I got there ten minutes early as instructed to fill out paperwork but was given none and at ten minutes past my appointment time Gina Marie casually came out to get me. She never asked for history on my skin, allergies, preferences, nothing. I was not given any paperwork. This signified to me she wasn't interested in my history or keeping a record on my skin. Not a good sign. While kind and personable, she lacks in professionalism and seemed not as well versed as my previous Esthetician at an actual spa. I consider Paparazzi a salon that does spa services. I could smell perm/ chemical process odors while waiting and during my treatment I could hear everything all through the salon. Not very relaxing. So for a half hour she basically washed and moisturized my face. No extractions and nothing special. She did try to up sell me many times, critiqued my skin tone in a derogatory manner and was over all just a little irritating. I was amazed that service should cost $75. For $30 minutes? When I left I had cleanser gooped in my hair and some kind of crusty stuff all over my neck. I discovered this in the car. I've never had a worse treatment anywhere. I do not recommend.
