I have been a patient of Dr. Gillman for many years. He is an incredibly talented chiropractor that has kept me active, despite many injuries that I've sustained. I go to the gym regularly and I'm also an avid hiker, backpacker and paddler, and without Dr. Gillman's thoughtful care, I don't think I'd still be doing those things today. I have been meaning to write a review for Dr. Gillman for some time now. I've been a patient of his for over a year now, and my ongoing treatment has been instrumental in overcoming two overuse injuries from distance running. Dr. Gillman carefully assessed my gait and systematically evaluated other contributors to my injury (e.g., leg length discrepancy, strength imbalances, etc) when personalizing my treatment. I received a combination of back adjustments, soft tissue work (Graston technique, soft tissue mobilization, stretching), custom orthotics, and laser therapy on a weekly or twice weekly basis at first and then down to biweekly or monthly. Because of this diligent approach, my range of motion and pain level improved and I was able to complete my 10th marathon in November of 2021. As I continue to run, I continue to see Dr. Gillman, and chiropractic treatment remains a critical piece of my distance running and training regimen. Dr Gillman is an extremely talented Chiropractor! I have been seeing him as needed for the past couple of years and his breadth of knowledge is above and beyond most MD's I have come in contact with. I was just seen twice by an Orthopedist who missed an ankle fracture thinking it was just a sprain. This doctor was not listening to my complaints after seeing him twice or examining me properly. Since I felt that it wasn't healing properly or that something was missed on the X-ray I went to see Dr Gillman knowing that he would figure it out and provide me with 5 star examination and be able to help me! After approximately 5 minutes of examining me he felt I needed an MRI and that it was likely a break or fracture since it had been 5 weeks and the signs were clearly present to him. Doctor Gillman has been an extremely helpful component to my overall joint and muscular health. I began seeing him in April. I was convinced I needed surgery on my hip. I could not train the way I was training in the gym previously at a job that demands my physical ability. A friend pressed for me to see him before I jumped to an MRI. The pain/ general discomfort I felt in my hip was about a 7 out 10 being the most painful. The tricky part is that it came and went. It was never consistent. He was hot on the trail to figure out what was causing these flare ups. To my surprise it was a completely different issue than I thought. By seeing him once per week for a few consecutive weeks to just seeing him on an as needed basis I have returned to most of my physical activities. He is very perceptive to my issue when I am having a flare up. Answers emails and texts very promptly. You can tell he is passionate about his work and patients. He's worked with all types of patients from young athletes to elderly ones and everywhere in between and accepts insurance depending which provider and plan you have. Always ready to help! I've been going to Dr. Gillman for well over seven years. I play hard tennis three to four times a week and in the warmer weather mix in golf and other activities. As you can imagine, that has taken a toll on my back and other connecting pieces from muscles to tendons. I am impressed every time I visit with Dr. Gillman's (Scott's) ability to assess the issue, and administer treatment from spine manipulation to electro therapy to tendon scrapping (external use of a large butter knife type tool to work out the tendon). I've had shoulder, knee, and tennis elbow issues that he's treated as well. I do appreciate this practice helping me stay active. The three star rating is wrong. I call Dr. Gillman the miracle doctor. I can not tell you how many tennis friends I have referred to him. I had tennis elbow years ago and he fixed that. I have had back issues in the past. He fixed that. I was having some feet problem, went to see a podiatrist, who put me in a boot, which didn't help at all and messed up my back. I went to Dr. Gillman in desperation and he fixed that!! Most recently I went to him for neck pain that was generating down my right arm and I was getting tingling and numbness in my fingers. After seeing him once, he recommended an MRI. MRI results showed pinched nerve C5-7. I thought my options were going to be an injection or surgery, but once again, Dr. Gillman fixed it! 9 visits and all the strength is back in my arm and the tingling and numbness gone. I am very active and 58 years old, so things happen and every time, Dr. Gillman is able to figure out what it is and help it. Then when healed and functioning properly again, he releases you. I don't know what I would do without him! HIGHLY recommend him!!! read more
