I felt significant improvements after just one visit and continued improvements throughout the few months that I received treatment. Simeon is very personable, kind, and professional. He makes you feel very comfortable and welcomed, and answered all of my questions regarding the process, procedure and outcomes. He worked with my insurance to ensure I received the most out of my benefits and I would recommend him 100%. I look forward to returning!!

We optimize wellness by taking care of the "whole" person based on fundamental principles of holistic medicine and integration of mind and body. We specialize in acupuncture, Oriental herbs, massage, Gua Sha and now facial rejuvenation. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese treatment that is being embraced in Western culture. The procedure uses hair-thin needles placed at specific areas of the body and is painless and natural. Acupuncture is highly effective for many health issues. It can increase energy, improve sleep patterns, reduce symptoms of menopause, stress or illnesses and enhance mental clarity and addictive tendencies. Facial rejuvenation is a form of acupuncture that has been used since the Chinese Sung Dynasty (960-1279 A.D.) Needles are inserted at strategic points in the face and neck to induce the movement of blood and stimulate collagen production. The procedure can reduce fine lines and improve the overall skin tone in your face. Gua Sha is a healing technique used throughout Asia. "Gua" means to rub or cause friction. "Sha" describes congestion of blood at the surface of the body. Gua Sha increases normal circulation to the muscles, tissues and organs directly beneath the surface of the area being treated. Patients can relieve stiffness, pain and mobility and find Gua Sha helpful in resolving colds and stubborn coughs.

I have been to a number of acupuncturists and Chinese herbalists, and Dr. Hou is by far the best…read more Clear improvement in sleep, energy, and physical symptoms of stress. Also amazing pedigree, lovely offices, and flexible schedule. Highly recommended.

I went 2x/week for 4 months for acupuncture and herbal tea supplement (which I drank twice a day…read morereligiously), all as recommended due to my build up of stress and wanting to get off of anti-depressants. We identified I had a yin deficiency, which I have heard from other practitioners before. I was told I have inflammation from the "heat" from the yin deficiency. All made sense to me. There was no type of improvement that I could see. I was uncomfortable during the acupuncture and was barely relaxed. I've seen other practitioners and did not have this kind of experience. I really wanted to like this practice so it was disappointing. I wanted to commit to doing it for a year, but I just couldn't hold out because I was actively suffering through the acupuncture. (And I'm a fan of it!) What really got me was that Dr. Hou would see me every week and say the exact same things for 4 months. "Tongue getting better." Or "Toenails are still dark red (low oxygen) but getting better." This on repeat for 4 months. There was no visible or internal improvement on my end. I committed completely and took her suggestions. I tried to tell her my concerns, but she had no answers for me. Just that it will take a long time and that my "cells need to grow." If I had a dime for every time I was told my "cells need to grow," here I would be rich. I understand TCM and have no issue with waiting, but the constant "you're getting better" was suspicious. I had a bad feeling about it. I was basically told to wait a year to see improvement, but the repetition felt very "snake oil salesman" to me. Not to mention, the place seems like it hasn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. The tables are uncomfortable. The prices are decent, so if you want to give it a try and see if your issues resolve unlike mine, give it a shot! I saw a lot of great reviews so I really wanted to give it a solid try. But I need to get a second opinion after this experience. I was sketched out and had to trust my gut.
