I had been diagnosed with a sprained rotator cuff, which was not only painful and limiting, but draining me of my energy! Although I love my primary care doc, his solution was to put me on heavy duty anti-inflammatory meds, which can be hard on your liver and have side-effects as well! I am not a stranger to acupuncture and was able to get an appt near where I live... I was fortunate enough to be seen by Laura.:) I had recently lost my husband, which Laura took into account with compassion, as well as my injury. I hope I am stating this correctly, but she explained that grieving can also contribute to the injury healing and that you hold grief in the left side of your body... the sprain is in my left side. Laura started with a 'clearing'... which I can only explain as "getting rid of my junk" ... I felt revived when leaving that day! I continued to see her for several more appts. I'm happy to say that my shoulder has improved 100% from when I had my first treatment, as well as other issues I had been having! Now for some gentle strengthening exercises. ;) I will continue to see Laura for monthly overall maintenance.
