If you're not a wine connoisseur and just want to have a relaxed time over reds or whites, without having to dress up or worry about the shop closing on you, I highly recommend this place. The best thing about this branch in particular is the place and location. Ralph's has both indoor and al fresco seating, so you if you have friends who smoke, they can do that here. The al fresco tables are right in the middle of Molito's activity center so you hear the nice live performances in the background on weekends. Plus, you can order from the nearby restaurants (if these places allow it) and have it with your wine, just like the Hermano's beside it (yay, nachos!). And just in case there are lots of diners and you can't find a vacant table, you can bring out their wine glasses for a deposit you can get back upon return. They also have a number of cheese and meat selections you can enjoy with your wine, reasonably priced as compared to the cheese and charcuterie platters from Barcino or Planet Grapes. Just be careful with the chorizo--it is a bit oily and a lot, so you might want to share it with three or four others. Sure there are lots of carton boxes here that save them money for decor, but the wines aren't that cheap. They make it seem like it though, by having signs with promotions on it. This stretch of liquor stores from Taft Ave. to Leveriza has everything that you might want. Haggle and scout around for the best deals. You will also find stores that sell their liquors with fun stuff such as pitchers, free shotglasses, ice buckets or shirts. Bottles of alcohol here are much cheaper, and this is pretty much your one-stop shop for pretty much everything - from spirits to mixers ,from wines to strange brews for when you are feeling rather adventurous. They say it's all fun and games until someone loses a liver, but hey, at least here we get our libations at a fraction of their cost.

OR, have really good operations and get all sushi orders out in good time. I came here with friends one Friday evening. We wanted to drink but wanted something different. Bars usually just carry the local beers, and if you are lucky, imported ones.. but the selection is limited. So we read on few blogs, found out about Global Beer Exchange and decided its the way to go. Global Beer Exchange is a beer disneyland. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a delight for beer aficionados and enthusiasts. Belgian, North American, Japanese & Californian beers can be tasted here. They even have beers on draft. They also carry Katipunan craft ales, a local brand, like their Dear Fred and Indio. There's so many that we asked the staff to give suggestions on what to drink. In all fairness to them, they know what they're selling. And the best thing is that its not even crowded in here. It's perfect for a night of chilling and conversation with friends. :) P.S. Alabang is just a couple of bridges away, but the dreadful long drive home isn't the best feeling in the world. Lucky for us, Global Beer Exchange is probably just 5 minutes away from everyone's home. See, the best thing about Magallanes is probably that it's right in the middle from everyone. Yes, Quezon City is quite far, but South people (at least my friends from the south) usually won't go past the Fort area. And a few don't want to meet in Fort, especially on weekends, because parking is difficult and every club and bar is jam packed with yuppies and younglings. Global Beer Exchange may have beers that would cost you 700 pesos, but you just need to look carefully. Though its main market is for beer enthusiasts, you don't really have to be one to enjoy the beer. Just be smart and not order a Heineken or Stella or other beers that you can easily buy in the grocery store. I mean, hello? This is GLOBAL Beer Exchange. They carry beers from all around the world. Beers you probably haven't heard of yet and you're going to order a regular non-craft beer? Be adventurous and try something new. Bring a couple of friends, order different beers each and just do some beer tasting. Food isn't anything great so make sure that you'll be drinking here before or after you eat. Or you can bring some snacks, to munch on. Make sure to ask permission from the bar first though!

I've been seeing their stall for quite a while now and when I finally saw that there was staff present, I immediately shot her some questions. Forth and Tay only sells and delivers red and white wine, and spirits. And they have quite the extensive collection! They have Paul Mason, Maverick, Arrogant Frog, Gerard Bertrand and Robert Mondavi Private Selection among others. If you swing by their stall in Pioneer Street Market, you can even get some bottles on a huge discount! I'm actually quite interested to purchase a bottle of red for my brother-in-law. I'm not a huge wine drinker but I do indulge occasionally on some glasses of white wine or champagne. I'll be sure to come back one of these days and purchase a bottle or two for some much-needed wine nights!
