The pathway around the Gilbert Regional Park Lake

I visited the park on a Saturday morning at 8am at the-end of October. The weather was fresh and it was an amazing morning to be outside. The park is well taken care of and offers a variety of activities- 1 mile walking path around the lake, fishing, friendship garden, children's playground + splash pad, basketball, pickleball, sand volleyball, tennis and undercover ramadas spread throughout the park, plenty of grass lawns and the bathrooms appeared clean. It is a great park to spend time outdoors. I really enjoyed my time there exploring the different areas and excited to see the growth and expansion of the park in the future.

Wow, talk about a fun park! Everyone there of all ages seemed to really be enjoying themselves. So glad we went!

This park is HUGE! We came here for a birthday party over the weekend and were impressed. They have so many sporting areas, a great huge lake for fishing, and a really envious children's playground. They have many ramadas available for parties and tables. So much parking also!

Best park ever!! From pickleball, to splash pad, to the concerts they hold we love going here to relax. We've fished in the pond & rode roller skates around the pathways.

    Beautiful sunset location!

Great place to catch a sunset over the water and unwind - also lots to do at this park like: a beautiful walk, lots of grass, playground and other nooks and crannies!

I love spending time with my family and friends in this location! It is family friendly place that has tennis, volleyball, lots of land, a playground, and a place for fishing

Such a great park for kids!!! The ultimate playground for both big kids and little kids.

Awesome Park and Splash Pad! This place is a really nice and well thought out playground! Long slides and unique playground adventures built into a hill. Great splash pad for the little ones on a hot day also! Lots of picnic tables and sitting areas. This place gets some serious traffic for good reason! Good job City of Gilbert!

This park is amazing for kids to burn off some energy. The splash pad is incredible, but don't get caught under the big bucket.! lol My littles love it here! And when they're done with the water, they have plenty of slides and climbing areas and swings! Gets them nice and tired for nap time!

A gorgeous and very expansive park located in Central Gilbert by that massive temple and San Tan Village area. Very beautiful. Huge playground, a large lake for fishing, and many trails looping around the park. Definitely a fun place to go to, wish it wasn't so hot out this summer so I could go more often. It's either go at early morning or early night or get burned alive.

This is our favorite park in Arizona! One of the reasons is because my kids Love the ziplines. It's big and has everything you could need in a park: playground, splashed, lots of covered ramadas, nice bathrooms, grass, hills, open field, fishing pond, walking path, tennis, pickleball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and dog park. The playground is multi level and has areas for all ages. The toddler section is in the middle and shaded and secluded from bigger kids. The only negative is that because it's so big and multi level is easy to lose a kid. Because of this I like going during the week when it's not so busy. Grab food nearby and hang out for a few hours! Make a day of it by grabbing lunch or dinner in cute downtown Gilbert and getting ice cream from Topo.

This last weekend was the second Boots In The Park concert held at Gilbert Regional Park. 15,000 people attended performances by Dylan Scott, Trace Adkins and Chris Young. This was so close to our house that my husband and I rode our bikes to, and from, the concert! We attended last year, and this year. Together, my husband and I have been to over 150 concerts. I can honestly say, with that kind of concert experience, I've been impressed the way this operation has gone for these events. The drink lines are not crazy long (adequate number of servers), plenty of portable toilets and ample parking. The line to get into the concert was quite long (maybe not enough lines for bag checks/ticket taking?) and to leave the area the traffic is crazy at the end of the night (only 2 traffic exits and no where convenient for Über or Lyft to pick up) but it, overall, was a great experience! The park frequently has entertainment, activities and food trucks. I highly recommend this park!

I'll be waiting for you ...

Such a big park. Love the water area during warm days. Can get quite busy with families running around, but there is plenty to do.

    Fee? Park or parking

No fee for vehicle parking or to simply play at the park. There are pavilions that can be reserved, and those may be a different story, but I've never investigated.

Our favorite is going around the scenic loop around water, spotting the ducks, geese and the birds. There are so many exotic Birds specially during the spring, it's a sight. The wildflowers are beautiful and the large trees create a perfect canopy during the summer. We love biking and hiking too, this park has a cute little waterfall and is a favorite among photographers for shoots. There are programs offered in the community center for the kids for summer break and also activities with nature which is nice specially since it's involved with nature. There is also a nice display and tribute to the veterans with some installation arts. This place is worth a visit and wish there were some kids play structure to add to the beauty.

There's also a scouting activity area that looked interesting and seems to be for scouting troops to have campfires and outdoor activities. Technically there's also a hummingbird garden but unless you parked in a specific spot or know where to look, you'd miss it as its small and tucked in a far corner. While small, it is nice (aside from the pile of cigarette butts some jrrk left) with some nice plants, a short walking path, and a water feature. It has a lot of desert plants but I was surprised not to see more spring flowers this time of year. The park is nice and the water seemed clean and not smelly, but I wish we had more areas of denser vegetation like the hummingbird area to walk around in. It does seem pretty well kept up and I noticed several newer desert willows growing. At 8 am on a spring Sunday, it was busy with people walking, fishing, at the playground, and doing tai Chi, but parking wasn't an issue.
