History
Established in 2015.
We are committed to offering you easy, fun and exceptional service for your custom designs and apparel printing. We started Gigraffe to help you get your message out! You think it. We print it.
When we opened our first Etsy shop, we worked from the living room of our tiny apartment. The business eventually outgrew our living room and we officially registered our company: Gigraffe Design Studio.
Finding a name was not easy. We wanted something catchy, fun and related to one of the things I love the most in the world: animals.
Giraffes are powerful animals, and their long necks reaching into the heavens symbolizes the ability to see the future and obtain things that would normally be out of reach.
They have vision and foresight and are gentle and kind.
I thought this was exactly what we wanted to offer: vision, kindness, exceptional service and a high-quality product.
We hope you enjoyed our story and we look forward to meeting you and working together!
Meet the Business Owner: Andrea K.
My passion for design and printing begins with my father's story.
I'm Andrea Karaha, Founder of Gigraffe Design Studio.
25 years ago, my father traveled to the US looking for business ideas to start his own company in Venezuela. After attending many trade shows, he decided to start an embroidery business, invested in embroidery equipment and had it shipped to our hometown.
His motivation, creativity, and character fueled success, and his business grew from a one-person shop to 20+ employees in just a few years. He expanded his business into screen printing and heat transfer services.
Inspired by my dad's story and his entrepreneurial heart, when I moved to Austin with my husband, I decided that I wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps and start my own apparel printing business.
