He informed me about how to improve my daily care in order to stop cavities and gingivitis. I came from another dentist who would just scold and say "you need to floss more". Every 6 months I came in with yet another cavity. After seeing Dr. Knapp the first time and listening to his advice, I haven't had a cavity since!! My favorite line of his goes something like, "I want you to make my job easier". The better I can take care of my teeth, the easier and quicker he can get his job done. The first appointment I had with him lasted about an hour due to the mini consultation. After that, from the time I would enter and leave the office, I would be there for about 30 mins. The fact that they called me to get the x-rays sent over and save me $$ was greatly appreciated. Insurance only covers 1 set in a year. To top that, Dr. Park had reviewed them before I arrived and identified issues that had not been noticed and/or addressed by the previous dentist. He took the time to explain and point out the issues and the solution. In addition, the entire staff was friendly from the front desk to the hygienist, everyone had a smile and a bright demeanor. Aside from the implant issue the dental hygienist Nancy would repeatedly call me the wrong name for years despite my repeated attempts to NORMALLY and politely ask her not to (unfortunately I used to have an unusual foreign name prior to my gender transition) and when I attempted to address the issue with Dr. Samani he suggested I find another dentist.
