I was seen right away, no wait. Dr. Schachter was very kind, calm and gentle. He made sure to administer the novocaine in the most painless way possible. He talked me through everything, took his time and by the time the tooth was removed- I didn't even realize he had taken it out. I felt nothing! His assistant was super sweet, kept my company and talked to me while we waited for the novocaine to kick in- she even let me hold/squeeze her hand during the procedure (in hindsight it was totally unnecessary the way I squeezed the crap out of her hand, but it was still very comforting lol). Best experience I could have ever asked for. Highly highly recommend!!! He also let me keep the tooth which I found to be really cool LOL. My little souvenir

In one day out came nine teeth and in went the new teeth.Then my own personal real life horror film"JAWS" began. They never warned me(I should have done my homework)that some people just CANNOT stand dentures. Shifting of mandibles,bone loss,entire facial changes all were part of my problem...I know "its just dentures" but I had a REALLY bad time ENTER carmen giglio. well the INSTANT dentures were the first thing to go when I arrived at Dr Giglio's. The next thing I lost was my fear of being in another "clinic". This man is of the old school and if you need to ask? you will never get it! he worked with what insurance I had left and made me feel that getting this right was at the top of his list. It took time and he worked very precise but I wish I had come here first. One year after making one of the worst mistakes of my life(allowing myself to be convinced)which was getting dentures. thanx to Carmen I can live with them in comfort.He is a master of his craft. my entire family now goes only to him.

He was always super gentle when he worked on my mouth, listened to my concerns, and was friendly! His receptionist knew my voice when I would call and I didn't even have to give my last name. His hygienist is the best. I have gum issues and every time I got a cleaning from her I had minimal or no pain at all. It really is an awesome office. Unfortunately, he hasn't taken my insurance for a few years so I was forced to go to another dentist which was a nightmare! I almost want to keep paying out of pocket because I like them that much!!

I haven't seen a dentist since, but don't tell him, because it's been over a year. Besides Steve's professional, friendly, non-pushy manner, I love the tiny sand blasters they have to clean your teeth. Where can I find all this in SF? After having a bad experience where a dentist talked down to me and did not explain why I needed a filling, then brushed off my concerns about (mercury) amalgam, Steve was very friendly and willing to discuss the pros and cons of allopathic and alternative approaches. It turned out, in fact, that I did not have a full-blown cavity but rather some decay that ended up self correcting, and years later there was still no cavity. However, when the decay started again I trusted Steve to fix it all up with that white resin stuff. Bonus points for riding a Harley and taking photos for local magazines.
