I was very comfortable during the whole procedure and could tell that he was being very thorough. It is evident that he takes tremendous pride in his work, and he has a beautiful office and practice to show for it. It's definitely no accident that his team is comprised of the kind, communicative people I had the pleasure of interacting with; dental work/root canals can be stressful, but I never once felt stressed in his team's care. The billing department was simple to work with and handled my insurance seamlessly. Rio called me to assure all my information was correct and to had a quote of my bill in time for me to review before my appointment. My dentist referred me to Dr Niazi and they got me in immediately. My tooth was infected, Dr Niazi was amazing he was kind compassionate and very patient. My root canal turned into an injected jaw and the pain was unbearable. Dr Niazi did everything he could to make me feel better. He worked late and saw me on the weekends. He was honest, and very concerned. I wish he could do all my dental work. I will recommend him to all my friends and family. He is a Blessing.

We made it through the root canal and I went home and slept. When I woke and my numbing had wore off, I was having intense pain still with cold that was lingering. I called the after hours line and the man I spoke with made me feel like it was no big deal. I asked if a root may have been missed, he said that's not possible(which I found to be a weird answer). He said I need to give it time and they would get back to me next week. He didn't specify a time, made no priority to get me scheduled. I asked if it would be Monday, he said he thinks the dentist who worked on me was not in till Tuesday. He told me that narcotic pain meds would not help my pain at all, only ibeprofen would. I was already taking max amount ibuprofen and Tylenol and still in so much pain. I insisted on stronger meds which he eventually agreed to. They do in fact help significantly. It's now Monday and I've been in pain all weekend and barely was able to sleep last night. I am supposed to wait till tomorrow I guess to hopefully hear from someone? I'm a mother and I work and this pain in my tooth has been going on for a couple weeks now and I'm just feeling so wore out from the care and the run around I feel like I'm getting. I have had other root canals and never had pain after. I called to get into the endodontist I went to for my last one because it was a much better experience overall. I'm giving two starts because the endodontist who worked on me was nice in person.

Earlier this week I had a consult to discuss bonding, which seemed to go well, and I signed a quote from the receptionist, Alicia, for around $1700 for everything. Two days later I received an email, rather than a call, stating that they had made a mistake. I was okay with paying a bit more if necessary, so I wasn't concerned until I saw that they had doubled the cost to $3500. Alicia never took direct accountability for quoting me the wrong amount, instead saying that she was "sorry that an inaccurate price was quoted" as if it wasn't her mistake. There have been a lot of minor issues, like rescheduling me last minute, that I have looked past because I understand that things happen, but the way this situation was handled showed a lack of care that is extremely disappointing.

That was bad, but the worst was the secretary. She wrote out a referral saying it was done by the previous provider!!!!!!!! My kind wife had gifted shoes, I had given homemade salmon, we would have long chats with staff. We felt like we were family. Trusted them. That secretary (she is the one that has been there the whole time, still is, only secretary) basically spit in my and my family's face by saying it did not happen there!!! I will never go here again. The staff is equally amazing. They are engaging and easy to work with on scheduling changes. The waiting room is clean and stocked with current magazines and they have DVD's for kids to watch. For me it boils down to efficiency. My time is important, and Dr. Jang keeps his office rolling. Additionally, his calm demeanor is a welcome trait for anyone nervous to be in the chair. Your comfort is his priority.

Then, during the same visit, he changed direction and said it might be another tooth. The diagnosis felt all over the place. He recommended pulling tooth #30, and if that did not solve the pain, possibly pulling another tooth next. That is extremely concerning when tooth removal is permanent. Thankfully, we got a second opinion. The new dentist and even his assistant immediately identified the real issue on the X-ray at the root area of the painful tooth. A root canal was needed, with no extractions required. If we had trusted Dr. Marfo's recommendation, my family member could have had teeth pulled unnecessarily, followed by bone grafts, post work, cost, and pain/suffering while the actual problem was left untreated. Based on this experience, I have no confidence in his judgment or treatment planning.

I came back out to the front to schedule my next appointment. They informed me that my insurance was maxed. She advised me if I wanted to wait a few months until my insurance is renewed. I opted to do so because I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket. 2 weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for my visit. For some reason, they did not inform me in person that there would be a cost on top of my insurance. I called the billing department and asked why I wasn't I informed in person that there was going to be a cost? I would have refused service and waited if I had known. She immediately took off $100 off the bill. I told her it was still too much. She kept stating that they don't have to tell us the cost, that it was my responsibility to know my insurance and I need cover the cost. Her name was Marcia, a financial consultant. I asked for a manager, she stated she was the manager. I told her it was unlawful for them to not inform me of the cost. Washington state has a No Suprise Act, which requires a medical facility to give a "Good Faith Estimate" at the time of treatment. As soon as I brought up the law, she says "whatever, we'll just write it off" and hung up the phone. She was very rude and shows zero empathy to patients. They use greedy and shady tactics to make as much money as possible. They do not care for their patients

I have always been more than happy with the professional & personalized care I have received over the years from Dr Khan and her team to keep my teeth healthy. My daughter began going with me when she was 3-4 she is now 11, we come every 6 months for our cleanings & check ups. My daughter recently had a bicycle accident causing trauma to three of her upper permanent teeth. So scary! Dr Khan and her team were absolutely amazing, they stayed open late to see us right away and got my daughters teeth back into place. (Not an easy task) Dr Khan did additional preventative measures as she has a mix of primary and permanent teeth. We now have a plan for our future treatment and things are going better than we thought they would. I credit this all to Dr Khan and her team for the efficient emergency repairs and follow up. Fantastic and family friendly practice...highly recommend.

This has not been a pleasant…read moreexperience before today... the dentist did their best, and our first referral asked us to find someone else because our daughter (8) wouldn't stop crying because they scared her. Since then, she's been terrified of going back. My husband found Pla & Watts via referral, and there were big feelings leading up to this. We walked in and she was excited to see cocoa and tea to sip on while she waited... we got back into the office and she was so nervous she wouldn't even sit in the patient chair. Within minutes they had set her at ease, explaining how they would help with anesthesia, she wouldn't have to feel any needles, and didn't have to have a gas mask. We had dreaded this for WEEKS, wondering if she'd break down in tears and crying again - but they put her perfectly at ease and we had the best experience. She let them take x-rays, had a great chat with their staff, and we will be scheduling her procedures with them and I'll definitely be back!
