By the time we finally broke ground and got the framing done, it was October. Unfortunately, the roofers took an entire month to finish putting the roof on, and by that time, the whole house was sopping wet. Add another month for the siders to finish, and even our builder was commenting on how bad the mold smell was. It was growing EVERYWHERE! This was exactly the circumstance we were trying to avoid, as my husband suffers from mold toxin illness. We called Servpro to see what could be done, and they came up with a plan that I am happy to say worked beautifully. They fogged the entire house and crawlspace heavily to eradicate the mold, and put as many dehumidifiers and fans in as our limited electricity would allow. They even came back out to spray a section in our labyrinth of a crawlspace where the fogging couldn't reach. They had some difficult circumstances to navigate, but they always figured out a way to get the job done, and to do it well. We are beyond thankful that they were able to save our house from the mold. They helped us navigate a nightmare situation and afforded us the peace of mind that our new home won't make anyone sick.

Terrible communication skills, lack of professionalism and inability to understand building codes…read more We hired them to put a second story on our garage with a 2nd story deck out over the front lawn. 4 weeks into the project they tell us to spend $500 to hire someone to use ground penetrating radar to locate the precise location of our septic system and waste line in the front lawn area. 6 weeks into the project and they tell us the deck is not allowed because the Health Department would never let us put post footings near the septic system. Why wasn't this addressed on day 1 when we first designed the deck? Why did we waste $500 to find the system if the deck would never be allowed? When I asked him these things, he got defensive and condescending - saying he knew the codes better than I. To top it all off, Jeremy was wrong and didn't understand the code properly! When I went to the Health Department (something he never did), they signed off on the deck immediately - it was no problem as long as the footings stayed away from the lines. Due to my lack of faith in his abilities, I let him go, and now he refuses to refund our $2500 deposit even though he has produced ZERO useful work product up until this point! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I am also a peer in the construction industry, working as an architect, and this past year has been so hectic for contractors, to expect all of them to respond right away is so unrealistic, and does NOT reflect their ability. With that being said, I'm over the moon happy with James's work on my kitchen remodel, I can barely put it into words. When I was looking at buying this house, the kitchen was the one thing that nearly prevented me from putting on offer in. It was gross, the hot water didn't work, water pressure sucked, and the range hood hadn't been vented properly, it just went up into the cabinet. But I had faith that w/ a better design and the right contractor, we could transform the space into something real special. I moved in to my house in the middle of April, and emailed him at the beginning of May for an estimate to demo the old counters/cabinets, install new cabinets, duct my range hood out the roof, and install the sink. He got back to me promptly, and was able to see me and the house the next day. He really listened to what I wanted, unlike some other contractors I had gotten estimates from, and his estimate was incredibly reasonable. He gave me a heads up that he'd be available end of May/first of June, which worked for my schedule fine. James started the week after Memorial Day and seriously wrapped up all of the cabinet demo, new cabinet install, new range hood install AND the associated plumbing/electrical work within 4 DAYS!! I mean, he is literally a construction crew of one, and moves so insanely fast, while still sticking to my design plan and keeping me updated when he found something while he was working. We had to wait to finish the sink install, since the counter company was booked out 3 weeks, but even then, he was able to come back out the very next day to wrap everything up at the sink. Honestly, this space has been transformed and is now so much brighter, more modern, and my new favorite room in the house! Thank you again James, I could not be happier!

There was a lot of complicated work involved including intricate tile work and James executed the work flawlessly. We have received many compliments on the tile work that James did and all of his work has held up well. James was very respectful of our home and cleaned up his work areas well.
