Proprietor was on the phone but acknowledged my presence when I came in, so I started browsing. After a few minutes he concluded the phone conversation and asked what I was looking for. When I began telling him what I was looking for, specifically a medium sized wooden box, not necessarily a humidor but something about that size that could be repurposed, he interrupted me without hearing the entire description. "You need to try antique stores," he said impatiently, "this is a RETAIL store." I began to explain that my fiancée and I have been looking in antique stores for some time and that what we are looking for doesn't necessarily have to be an antique, but he just glared at me. Proprietor made it crystal clear that he was uninterested in my business, and his impatience communicated that he didn't appreciate me wasting his time. I debated about asking about the three other items I had seen that I was interested in (chess sets, wine bottle stands, and a bottle of Chimay), but with the sheer unfriendliness of the proprietor and the way he kept glaring at me, I just left.
Place has a variety of relatively nice gift items in addition to tobacco, alcohol and related accessories. If the proprietor were friendly I would probably recommend it. read more
