This was a total bummer for me. I was really looking forward to shopping at this Inspirations…read morelocation because it was so large and I've had good luck at other locations in the past. There's a large selection of clothes and a huge selection of shoes. However, everything is extremely expensive for a thrift store. Yes, everything is in good condition and some pieces are brand new. However, 80% of the tops I looked at were priced at $12 and above. I was shocked. I was so distracted by the prices, I couldn't look at the clothes. I definitely saw tons of things I liked but some sweatshirts and sweaters were $25, which is equal to what you'd pay for a brand new clothing item in TJ Maxx or Marshall's. The upside is that mostly everything is a name brands and there are a few vintage pieces hidden in the racks. But the prices are unjustifiable for a used clothing store. $25 for a used Colombia sweater? I tried on a brand new one at TJ Maxx the other day for $34. At that point, I might as well spend the extra few dollars and buy it new. I really couldn't justify buying used clothes for these prices. Another thing I noticed was that many sweaters were $22 and $24 and so were the jackets! To me, that didn't make any sense. How are the jackets the same price? I even saw a jacket on the rack marked at $99 which is something I'd expect for behind the register. Despite the prices, there was a large selection of scarves, shoes, and seasonal home goods (Christmas and Halloween). There's one aisle of books which looked to be mostly children's from my quick glance, and a wall of purses that were again over priced. I picked up a large wristlet and it was $10, which again I couldn't justify spending. The quality of the clothing is good, don't get me wrong, but the prices really turned me off. I didn't get anything and I didn't spend much time hunting in here once I saw how things were priced. The purpose of thrifting to me is getting something gently used for a great bargain. Great bargains were hard to find here for me. They do offer 50% off for certain tag colors, which was white when I went, but I didn't find one item with this tag. All of the clothing seemed to be tagged in a pink/orange color. One positive of this store is that it's separated by size and there seems to be a good amount of plus sized clothes here. If you're a traditional thriftier, I wouldn't suggest this location. If you don't mind spending $$$ for secondhand clothes, then this is the place for you.

My main complaint is not the pricing or the items but the staff. There is a middle aged woman who works (owns?) the Jumble Store who seems gracious and kind with many customers but not with all. Whenever I have to talk to the deyassified Marcia Gay Harden that works check out, she is cold, brusque, and it's as she cannot wait for me to get out as soon as possible. I don't know if this is because I look super gay or what but it's really unpleasant and makes me go here as often as I might otherwise.

If you like thrifting, you will LOVE the gems you will find - they obviously receive very nice clothing donations. The prices are ridiculously cheap and they are always running sales. The consignment store upstairs is much more organized and has a more curated feel. I did consign there once and some of my items were turned away. I was disappointed, but the reasons made sense. You can tell they are picky because the merchandise is spotless. I appreciated that as a shopper.

So many gems hidden in this great little consignment shop right on Main Street…read more The space is small but it's packed with clothing, accessories, bags and more. All very reasonably priced, which is getting rarer and rarer for secondhand shops. I always try to stop in when I am in town and usually walk out with something new! And the even better news is that you are right on a busy street with other shops, cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops, boba shops, everything shops. So don't make the trip here just for a quick pop in, walk around and enjoy Somerville afterwards. I do believe you can bring in things to sell which I desperately need to do! Will circle back to this and update my review with that whole process when and if I eventually get that done. Thanks for a wonderful shop!

My Favorite New Consignment Store…read more From the moment I walked into the store I was surprised that this hidden gem was not the average thrift store. From designer handbags to beautiful sterling silver and gold jewelry, this store definitely captures my attention. The items are reasonably priced, and are in very good condition. The kids department will have brand new clothes and nice one. I never find any shoes to my like or size. As far as customer service there's none. They don't answer question or talk to you. Maybe it is because most don't speak English and the ones who do speak English are the cashiers with the attitude. They are usually younger and stinking attitude like they are doing you a favor. Again, like the other locations, prices are higher here than Goodwill type thrift stores, but I think it's worth it because the merchandise is trendy and in nice condition!
