These include: socks, scarves, mittens, chargers, headphones, fresheners, stuff animals, etc. Though it may seem similar to places you find in Richmond (Aberdeen Centre) or Robson St., the quality of the items seem rather good. Sample of things I bought: - Earphones $5 - works same and looks like those I bought from London Drugs for $25. 5 Stars. - Animal eye mask $5 - for traveling and also has hot cold gel pack. Just too cute. 4 Stars. - Toss Pillow with hand warmer pouch on the side $7 - kids just love it! 5 Stars. Payment is cash only for now. This is a fun place to find things you never thought you needed (you probably don't but still bought anyways. Great place to prep Party Grab Bags etc. Overall this is a welcomed addition to the Kerrisdale shopping corridor and brings variety to a weekend walk in the neighborhood. Update: credit cards now accepted.

Old Faithful is one of those shops that is merchandised so well where if you remove something off…read moreof a shelf someone else could tell exactly what you moved. I have been to the Old Faithful shop many times and it hasn't disappointed. It is very true to their theme of artisan, home-made or well-crafted-and-the-woodsy-bent items, which speaks to a particular customer. Some may love this shop and others may find it expensive and too specific to integrate into their personal style. I appreciate the care in the selection of the goods and the kindness of the employees. The first time I was in the shop (being overwhelmed by the visuals) I just bought several journals. When I got home, I realized that I wanted more and ordered them by phone because they don't use their website for special orders. They were very nice and when the package arrived, it was beautiful. Brown paper package, tied up with string... no kidding. This time I bought a huge wool blanket that I thought I could fit in my luggage (I couldn't) and it made a perfect gift. The thing about the blanket purchase was how much banter I had the the employees while I was purchasing it. While we were talking, THEY referenced that I had bought the journals the previous year. What memory. Their attention to detail gets me every time. I will always go back to Old Faithful when I am in Vancouver... whether or not I can fit what I buy into my luggage.

This place is definitely expensive, would not recommend if you're broke, I'm not though. But yea I bought a soap shaped as a fish. Yea that's absolutely ridiculous and yes you can call me stupid BUT at least it's cool though, amirite. Also, it smells good. But yea it's a gift, however I think I need to come back here and buy one for me. I think this is one of the coolest shops in gastown, this isn't a place you're going to read a review for and go, you just kinda walk into it like I did. Also, this place has really good books, I ended up buying the same book I saw here on amazon for half the price. But hey, at least I bought that fish soap.

The last time she was far more preoccupied with whatever Tik Tok she was trying to record than she was with assisting me and my friend. In this economy, where gift shops are a dime a dozen, customer service is important. There is some cute stuff, but a lot of the items she sells in store you can find elsewhere for cheaper, and they claim it's all local artisans, but some of it is giving dropshipping. I will be going to Front & Company, or Makers, where 100% of the proceeds to go the maker, instead.

And the amount of candles in this little shop was just abundant. I smelled all the candles that were there that day. I found a couple for myself at the same time so next time I can come back and buy some. But, I found the perfect ones for my friend~!! The amount of stuff and local created gifts are just amazing. I will be back here for tons of gifts!!

Nice Clothes, but Poor Service…read more I stopped in to find special-occasion dresses. They were out of our sizes, so I asked if there was a way to be alerted when new stock arrives. The manager's response: "No. People just know to come in at the start of the season." I asked when that would be, and she said, "August and February." We need dresses sooner, so I apologized but asked if she knew where else I might find them. She gave a tight smile and said, "No, there really isn't anywhere else around here that sells high-end. You'd need to look online." I left, walked east on Broadway for 30 seconds...and ran right into Sparkle and Junebug, which has beautiful, well-made children's clothes. I found several dresses with the help of a friendly and efficient sales associate. It's impossible that the Babes on Fourth manager didn't know about this neighbouring boutique. Maybe she just didn't want to send me to a competitor, but she lost a potential customer and a significant sale as a result. (As Julia Roberts would say, "Big mistake. Big. Huge!")
