The farm is adorable! On one visit, Pat & her daughter were gracious enough to take the time to show me around. It just so happened that a kid was being birthed! Suffice it to say, I was elated, in awe & humbled to be able to witness the beginning of another generation that produces such yummy chevre. Thanks for taking the time to share that. Now back to the cheese - the Sunset Bay with scrambled eggs, sauteed shallots & baguette made the best breakfast. Up In Smoke was perfect as a snack with Trader Joe's Pita Bite Crackers. The Cape Foulweather was perfect for a brioche & fig preserve grilled cheese. I'd definitely recommend making your way through the forest to find this gem of a farm.

By spending a good length of time talking to him about his recent farm experience and past, he cares a lot about the animals under his care, he wasn't busy however at the time and had time to talk to me and my wife. We picked out 5 lovely Turkeys. Beautiful area Deadwood is, but you don't need to travel all the way out there, you can pick up Turkeys from his wife in Eugene, they have a beautiful family. One of the samples was called Hembree and the lady behind the counter said it was their version of. Havarti. Well it really isn't. We also bought a couple of spicier cheeses as well. While the cheese was good, the prices aren't. If you notice from the picture, the cheeses are between $23 and $25 a pound. For that kind of money, we would expect a fine aged cheese which these certainly are not.
