Is it still okay to say enchanting because that's the hit you get when you enter here. Between the…read morewonderful paintings, to the quaintness and quietness of the studio it's there. The fresh flowers that she sells are so pretty and very reasonably priced Her tea cups and saucers are fantasy based and the paintings she creates are full of whimsy, lightness and blissness. Aria the owner is easy going and you can tell she's happy in the space she's created. She also has art classes here. We came here for a tea party and we got that and more. There were many unusual and delicious tea choices. From lavender grey tea to pink lemonade tea to amber bliss etc. There were tiers of goodies from little quiches to these amazing fruit cheesecake layers of awesomeness to a french bread/brie/berry jelly topped off with rosemary etc. She has some wonderful options of different flavored sugars such as ginger and lemon as an example. You may buy these wonderful delights and then include them in your tea or you can just lavish in sugar cubes. We actually ordered this amazing rose hips iced tea with frozen fruit and mint ice cubes. As part of the special tea party you also receive a lovely bouquet of flowers to take home. This, and Ms. Alice the amazing white fluffy bunny that would visit you from time to time. Romantic and delightful. It's all part of the beautiful ocean surrounding this lovely town and fits in so perfectly.

Everything is so tastefully presented and decently priced you'll just never want to leave. I came in to buy a bouquet and left with a bunch of other things too! I ended up doing a tea tasting which was so much fun, I highly recommend the "house blend" made with wild huckleberry. The book selection deeply impressed me, lots of cool titles I hadn't seen before anywhere else. It was amazing to get to talk with the artist and see such a wide range of artwork, SPOILER ALERT they're all gorgeous! On top of everything else, the owner teaches art classes, hosts tea parties, AND you can even book the tearoom for a baby or bridal shower. There's no end to the number of awesome things to fall in love: Alice the rabbit, artisan pastries, and the positive energy in the store (just to name a few.) Simply, you'll be blown away totally worth 5 stars and much more.

I don't normally like coast-town galleries. They seem to either be full of hot-glued seashell wind…read morechimes, or mollusks made of of stained glass that I'd have to skip a mortgage to afford. But Yachats isn't your typical coast tourist trap, and Touchstone Gallery is unlike any beach gallery I've ever been to before. True to the town, the spirit is truly tuned to the natural beauty and appreciation of art, and you see that reflected in both the products and the gallery itself. The space is light, bright and airy, with an enchanting tree of patron notes in the center of the gallery. If you stop to contribute, you're likely to be greeted by one of the sweet gallery kitties. The selection is wonderful and full of surprises, with everything from homemade cards and jewelry to dishes and unique art pieces. Prices are shockingly reasonable, so you can leave with something beautiful without spending your whole vacation budget. Gallery owner Jacquee is super-helpful and will get your treasures home in splendid fashion, whether shipped or hand gift-wrapped. She'll also ship from her website, in case you regret leaving something behind. Touchstone Gallery is redefining coast souvenirs, one whimsical treasure at a time.

I drove 20 minutes south just to go here. The owner was talking with an older couple while I looked at some bowls. She said, "Those two are sold," and I thought she was talking to the couple she had been speaking to. Then, she walks right behind me and says loudly, "Those two are sold! I'll put them back." She was very rude. We quickly left and won't return. I'm not sure why you wouldn't keep sold pieces in the back, or at least be polite when someone is looking at them. As a small business owner, a decent demeanor is important. If you like to support artists, this is a great spot. I guess just hope the owner is in a good mood?

What an incredible gallery hidden in little old Toledo! I was astounded by the unique selection of…read morework here...very different from your typical coastal galleries. It's also a working art studio, and Janet is a joy to speak with. Beyond the art pieces by Janet and others, you will also find a plethora of vintage objects and ephemera for sale. Many of the pieces are expensive, but truly good art is expensive because someone put vast amounts of time, effort, and creativity into an original piece. Definitely worth the trip if you're looking for unique pieces with a certain aesthetic.

The owner of the gallery makes a lot of the art that is hanging about. This is not your normal art at all. It is a huge mixed media cornucopia of repurposed, reclaimed, vintage, collage, etc. of fantastical art works. And they are not just the owners but there are also some other interesting artists presenting as well. Her hours are not set in stone but I think you can especially count her as open on the weekends. Best way to know is to give her a phone call. She does a lot of art work in the shop itself since it's also her studio. Crow's Nest is what you would expect to see in a crows nest, full of sparkly, unique treasures and other delights. Toledo is not that far from other towns nearby like Newport. The town is picking up on some momentum too but still a work in progress.
