Our number at the deli this morning..00 or BOO? Heehee

I really like this store. It's just a few minutes up the road from where I am living right now. Every time I visit, I find some times I hadn't seen before. I like that I can save on my gas by using the Bonus Card. Right now I can save 30 cents per gallon. I usually go to Costco to get my gas but if I shop at Giant I can save up my points and get a discount on gas. They have a great produce section. Regular produce and Organic. My family is big into Honeycrisp apple and they were $3.99 a pound which is high but last week the price came down to $1.99 a pound which is cheaper than Costco $2.17 a pound. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. Since I'm new to the area and I don't know where everything is in this store. Some times you can see me walking back and forth in the store, from one end of the store to the other. The deli staff is quick and efficient!! I went today during the Eagles game thinking it would be slow but it wasn't. The deli was rockin'! There were 3 people in front of me and the wait went by fast. My deli person banged out my order fast.....Boars Head is my brand of choice and I ordered a pound of Roast Beef, Pastrami, Turkey and Bologna. She cut one right after another. and sliced them beautifully! I picked up some fried chicken too which is delicious! 8 pieces for $6.99...what a deal!

Tom in the beer and wine section is great. He's always willing to give a helping hand and is very polite.

I stand by some of the specifics I mentioned, but now, about a dozen visits later, I understood where I was wrong, and *how* Grocery Outlet is a regular money saving stop for me now. One thing I touched on in the original review was comparison pricing against Walmart. I still believe that in about half the cases, if something Grocery Outlet has is also available at Walmart, it'll be cheaper at Walmart. But, conversely, about half the items will be cheaper at Grocery Outlet. It's also true that some products are closer to their "best by" date at Grocery Outlet, but that almost always results in it being drastically cheaper. I think the methodology to use when visiting Grocery Outlet, is to make it your *first* stop, with the understanding that you will be picking up select items there, and then also stopping somewhere else (yes - the savings are big enough to justify the cost of driving elsewhere). I now know the items that are regularly less expensive at Grocery Outlet, and I also know that there are going to be fantastic deals on spontaneous discoveries that will easily substitute for something that will be more expensive elsewhere. For example, frozen pizza, frozen meals, and snacks, are now things I buy exclusively at Grocery Outlet. The store is well maintained, more so than I first reported, and the employees are friendly and helpful - especially once you get to know them. And lastly, but no less important, you're supporting a family operated business. Now, I am a regular and happy shopper at Grocery Outlet.

I always save a ton of money when I shop here and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I found a Fortnite bed in the bag here for my daughters bed for a whopping $25- what a steal! Bag of Tyson Chicken wings for $9.99. Ice cream deals for like $2.

Amazon is getting into the warehouse, supersized grocery business with its Amazon Fresh…read moresupermarket. It's no accident that it occupies a former Giant, because it markets itself as the 21st Century way to shop both in person and online while in the store. I was there only to return something I had purchased directly from Amazon and had delivered to my front door. When we couldn't use it and attempted to return it, the options were no longer the local UPS store, but either this point or another retail establishment even further from home than this place (13 miles away). So, convenience is no longer part of the equation. Still, once there, the return center was in the rear of the A. Fresh, and was quickly scanned and accepted. No sweat, except for the hour drive to get to Warrington and back. While there I did take a look around as it was my first visit to an Amazon Fresh. It was all basic black and gray with industrial high ceiling and wide aisles. The standard groceries were equivalent to most larger supers, but the prepared foods were expansive and pretty good looking from multiple pizzas to salad/soup bars, deli, bakery and roast chicken (to keep pace with Costco). If I had the time and hunger I would have investigated these goodies further, but with spouse in car waiting for me, I just kept walking toward the exit. If comparison was requested, Amazon Fresh reminds most of a poor man's Wegman's for all the attractive choices, but with a more warehouse flavor. No where near as huge as Costco, nor as daunting to navigate if you only need a few household items, it falls somewhere between the two. Is it a positive addition to the oversized market universe? Not completely as it lacks anything that really stands out as unique or extra crispy, but for those living in the vicinity it probably makes sense as a reasonable alternative. Would I travel there to shop? Not a chance!

The salad bar actually looks really good and if I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in for a salad, the hot bar is also pretty decent but I was there at around 4 pm and it was past peak. There were actually plenty of workers available for questions but many items were sold out , empty shelves. It is a very corporate store with national brands but some items there isn't a huge selection of different brands while other categories had plenty of choices. Some of the prices are just average but there are definitely aggressive prices on some items, especially close outs. Definitely looking forward to making this store a regular stop !
