**NEVER** take your car to be fixed here. I went in because my breaks failed. Since I was there, I…read morewanted my a/c fixed. This is all the work I asked to be done. This is all the work that I requested and it says so on the receipt. They called on Monday to give me a quote for the break lines and the compressor, which they insisted that if the compressor was replaced then my air would work. They told me the work would be done on the Tuesday and quoted me about $1800. Come Tuesday, they said it wasn't ready and it'd be done on Wednesday. On Wednesday we called asking if it was done and they said it wasn't ready because they ordered the wrong part, but it would be ready for Thursday. Thursday at 4:30pm, we still hadn't heard anything, so we gave them a call since the car had been there for nearly a week (since they failed on me on the previous Friday). They said it was ready. When we went in to pay, the woman never gave us our receipt until after we paid. When I sat in my car, the air blew cool air, not cold air, and that's only because it was cool outside. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I tried playing around with the different buttons, but it still didn't work ($800 part/labour on this). Then when I pressed on the breaks to start the car, I didn't have to press them right to the floor, but I had to push them most of the way to the floor before they even STARTED to work. I don't know much about how break lines worked, so I figured once I pumped the breaks a few times, it'd work better. I drove home thinking I'd break enough for them to work. They never did. Canadian Tire hadn't bled the lines. How does a mechanic drive this car from the garage to the parking lot and not notice the breaks are still not working/making a weird sound when pressed and that the air isn't cold? That, coupled with the fact that my heat shield made a horrendous noise all of a sudden, even when idle. It never made that sound before. When we were home, we looked at our bill and they charged us for exhaust work that they NEVER stated to us over the phone, and it was NEVER requested to be done. They had just snuck it into the quote they called to give us on the Monday. We went to complain because we spent nearly $2000 for my car to be no better PLUS there was additional work that was never approved to be done. When we were there, the woman pretty much told us that we were at a loss and they could do absolutely nothing about it. She said if we wanted the air to work then we would have to replace the whole system, and she quoted us around $800 extra. We told her we never came in asking for a compressor, and that their mechanics said the compressor was the issue and that's why we were replacing it. Had it not been the issue, we would have never replaced it. We asked if there was anything they could do. She told us no. They never tried to help us out or take another look at the car or offer some of our hard-earned money back. As we were talking to her, the mechanic that apparently did the work on our car said that my car was incredibly rusted on the bottom and not even he would drive it. Upon hearing this, I got veey frustrated because the rust was never mentioned to us over the phone (how am I supposed to know what it looks like underneath when I can't lift the car up to see myself). Had they mentioned the rust and how bad it was (all rusted, but particularly bad in three spots in the frame), I would have ONLY got the breaks done so that it could be sold for parts or taken safely to a scrapyard. The lack of knowledge, customer service and professionalism has completely turned me off of ever getting work there again, and I will be sharing my experience with Canadian Tire to any of my friends and family.

Management is garbage. They don't stick with quoted prices. They provide services that weren't…read morequoted initially, without asking first. There is a super helpful and positive manager, his name started with a T, Maybe Travis. His great customer service was offset by a short chunky female manager who was rude and probably brings her life's personal problems to work.
