It's located at Ritchie Station right next to TJ Maxx, so there's a massive parking lot. But on a weekend, you still may not be able to park close. It's a busy plaza! Upon entering, the aisles are easily labeled and the shelves were quite stocked. I found the juices I came for with no problems at all. Staff were super nice at the register and everything was seamless. There's nothing about this location that makes it stand out from the others -- I do wish that they, like the locations closer to me, had self-checkout. I'm a self-checkout king and I miss it when I don't have it, lol!

I recently had a very disappointing experience at this location involving both product availability…read moreand customer service. The store has been out of the Simply Nature coconut water case for quite a while, yet the $6.99 case price tag is still displayed. Since the boxed cases are unavailable, customers must purchase the individual bottles at $1.50 each. I asked if buying six individual bottles could be honored at the case price, which is a reasonable accommodation many stores make when only the packaging is missing. Instead of receiving a respectful explanation, the manager, Jazz, spoke to me in a raised tone, repeated the same incorrect information, and became visibly irritated when I asked for clarification. When I ultimately asked to remove the items from my purchase, he rolled his eyes and responded with frustration. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. After this incident, customer service reached out to me and assured me they would look into the matter. They made a point to calm the situation and promised follow‑up. However, every time I've reached out for an update, I've received no response. The lack of communication only adds to the disappointment. I understand supply issues happen, but the way this situation was handled--both in‑store and afterward--has caused me to lose confidence in the customer service at this location. I strongly recommend improved training for management and better follow‑through from customer service. Customers deserve clear communication and respectful treatment, even when the answer is "no."

Over the years with all their changes Bloom and now back to Food Lion (yup dated myself!!) love love love them!! Now that they've remodeled the 197 location and have much more selection it has become my go to spot for steady grocery shopping (I supplement with Costco and Sam's Club). The vegetarian products has grown and are priced very well against other chains that carry the same products. The staff is helpful and nice, they are always cleaning, stocking, gathering the carts, and more recently cleaning the carts!!! I thank you for all of this! This is why I keep coming here! Also since they are always stocking the frozen food is ALWAYS frozen, not when you get it home and it's been refrozen. They are good about that. The location is not paired with much (Subway, Dunkin!! Beauty Supply and other shops) however this Food Lion in my opinion stands out.

I am not a sweet potato person but I can do sweet potato in a cake or rum cake version lol yes, it still counts lol. It's my cousin's birthday and we were chatting about the best dessert and we came up with a sweet potato cheesecake carrot cake so this is just the first part of that delectable birthday treat. I was able to look online to see if they had it in stock and it in stock whereas the rum version said may not be available. I was pleased to find out that the rum version was available so I decided to go with that. I was pleased I came down to this location on my way out of town. There were a lot of customers getting the ready meals and I know those are a big hit. I always take a peek and walk around that section to see if there's anything that I feel like is a good value or something that I definitely have to have. I never really see anything but I'm glad that a lot of people love these ready-made meals. I don't typically do self checkout but there was a self checkout right next to the side door I entered away from the main registers. So I decided to check out there and it went swift.

The only major shock that I had was buying hot food and bringing it at home. The sticker shock on my food had me frozen and stalled for a moment then I got passed it. They have everything in the store just a variety is varieties of produce and cheese and meat which I don't eat. The breads are beautiful; I've spent more time standing in the aisle than I should have just looking over stuff. Do not go to the grocery store hungry that's a general statement for all grocery stores, but particularly Wegmans. I was walking down the aisles planning in my head how big a sandwich I can make or should I go to the deli bar and have them make the sandwich. There's so many products to choose from such as bread, condiments, cheese produce, and a vegetable even my faux meats. Wegmans has their own brand of plant base meats. I can take all of the ingredients home and build it as big as I want and as sloppy as I want. It was just too much to consider but I'm glad I encountered Wegmans. I'm gonna miss it when I go back to the West Coast. My suitcase will be full of Wegmans food instead of souvenirs from the various sites of the area.‍‍

Things I like: - they have affordable wild caught fish in the frozen seafood section - they have great deals on random items like a single use coffee maker and dog agility bars that rotate out almost weekly - customer service is normally pretty good - store is clean and well lit - cute seasonal items - adequate parking Reasons for the 4 stars and not 5 - they don't really accept Apple Pay. The transactions Cant be larger than $40.00 a transaction when using Apple pAY...which means...if your groceries total $100, that's 3 separate transactions, which always appears fraud to most banks. - I'm hoping they continue to expand to include more organic produce and frozen foods. I still have to go to other stores to get all of my shopping done.

It's surrounded by so many unique businesses, making it easy to turn a quick errand into a whole little outing. The area feels safe, although it can get pretty busy at times. Luckily, I was able to snag a parking spot in a prime location. Ive been here several times in the past and occasionally will come check out whats new here but I really don't like supporting Whole Foods too much as Im not an Amazon fan nor do I like to pay higher prices for items I can get elsewhere for cheaper. But, occasionally its a nice treat to come. They do have lots of baked goods that can be enticing and I do like their tres leches cake, which is well made and tasty. I got a slice of that on this trip here. We also got some fresh black mission figs (super yummy) and sampled a new fruit we didnt know about called a chocolate navel orange (also super yummy). My mom and I love fresh veggies and fruits and grocery stores are places we like to go together and explore. Its a special bonding activity that I have really come to cherish immensely over the years. We also got some mango fruit pops as my mom likes them. We are both lactose intolerant so dairy options are usually out of the question. I also saw a new product I have never seen, which are Ethiopian injera crisps and that looked super intriguing, so I bought some to try. Happy to report that they are delicious and definitely taste like injera! Overall, this is a solid super market and we like to come here occasionally to pick up fresh fruits, veggies, old staple items we enjoy and discover new products too!

I actually come to this store before going to others first as there are several in the area. It has fresh fruit and vegetables too. My only complaint is that during covid19 they are only allowing 10 people in the store at a time. This is ridiculous and creating long lines outside. Its also creating large social gatherings. Its best to get everyone in and out and back home. I think this store is adding to the public health crisis by having everyone stand outside. Prince George county where this store is located has instituted that if you go in public you must have a face mask. This should be sufficient. This is the only reason why I gave 4 stores instead of 5.
