Our number at the deli this morning..00 or BOO? Heehee

I really like this store. It's just a few minutes up the road from where I am living right now. Every time I visit, I find some times I hadn't seen before. I like that I can save on my gas by using the Bonus Card. Right now I can save 30 cents per gallon. I usually go to Costco to get my gas but if I shop at Giant I can save up my points and get a discount on gas. They have a great produce section. Regular produce and Organic. My family is big into Honeycrisp apple and they were $3.99 a pound which is high but last week the price came down to $1.99 a pound which is cheaper than Costco $2.17 a pound. The staff here is always helpful and friendly. Since I'm new to the area and I don't know where everything is in this store. Some times you can see me walking back and forth in the store, from one end of the store to the other. The deli staff is quick and efficient!! I went today during the Eagles game thinking it would be slow but it wasn't. The deli was rockin'! There were 3 people in front of me and the wait went by fast. My deli person banged out my order fast.....Boars Head is my brand of choice and I ordered a pound of Roast Beef, Pastrami, Turkey and Bologna. She cut one right after another. and sliced them beautifully! I picked up some fried chicken too which is delicious! 8 pieces for $6.99...what a deal!

Tom in the beer and wine section is great. He's always willing to give a helping hand and is very polite.

I had previously reviewed this store as being quite average, and found it hard to imagine why…read moreanyone would shop there. I stand by some of the specifics I mentioned, but now, about a dozen visits later, I understood where I was wrong, and *how* Grocery Outlet is a regular money saving stop for me now. One thing I touched on in the original review was comparison pricing against Walmart. I still believe that in about half the cases, if something Grocery Outlet has is also available at Walmart, it'll be cheaper at Walmart. But, conversely, about half the items will be cheaper at Grocery Outlet. It's also true that some products are closer to their "best by" date at Grocery Outlet, but that almost always results in it being drastically cheaper. I think the methodology to use when visiting Grocery Outlet, is to make it your *first* stop, with the understanding that you will be picking up select items there, and then also stopping somewhere else (yes - the savings are big enough to justify the cost of driving elsewhere). I now know the items that are regularly less expensive at Grocery Outlet, and I also know that there are going to be fantastic deals on spontaneous discoveries that will easily substitute for something that will be more expensive elsewhere. For example, frozen pizza, frozen meals, and snacks, are now things I buy exclusively at Grocery Outlet. The store is well maintained, more so than I first reported, and the employees are friendly and helpful - especially once you get to know them. And lastly, but no less important, you're supporting a family operated business. Now, I am a regular and happy shopper at Grocery Outlet.

I always save a ton of money when I shop here and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I found a Fortnite bed in the bag here for my daughters bed for a whopping $25- what a steal! Bag of Tyson Chicken wings for $9.99. Ice cream deals for like $2.

I wasn't going to post this but if you actually sort reviews and don't just look at the top good…read moreones you'll see a lot of the same. Customer service. Old food. Lack in quality. I've mentioned in previous reviews that this location is not my favorite, I still prefer the Warminster location and that was true until I had gone recently and they moved their bakery. We had spoke to others as well who live closer to doylestown but still go to Warminster because it's just better. Maybe I'll go to Warminster when I'm in a pickle but overall I think I am done with the altomontes store. It's sad to say but this once great small business is falling and I know it will still continue to pull all the doylestown locals with $ to burn. So if you're happy serving lesser quality at exuberant costs to keep this inflated mecca Italian wonderland - so be it. But the heart of this business and the quality that Mike started is no longer. You guys really need to start paying attention to your business and stop trying to keep grow grow growing and doing all of the stuff on social media if you're not going to invest in the business and quality of what you already have. Got overcharged for pasta that literally had prices posted over all the aisles by $1 a box which sure isn't a lot but it adds up. Especially when people are budgeting and buying things by a cost. And if you're doing that to me then how many other people? Just go change your signs if you're increasing costs! They also don't have the same desserts here that they do at their alto cafe which was sad to see. I also don't appreciate how the ordering has changed. As others have mentioned too the deli counter isn't nice and they don't want to cut you fresh items. I also was directed to the pre cut deli case when I just wanted fresh cut meat. I'm just tired of spending my good hard $ at a "small business" that isn't so small any more. And forget about the quality too - I know I've posted before but the quality is not what it used to be. It's obvious they care about the bottom line then making a good product. The specials are aborrhent as others have mentioned - which as I've posted in reviews is especially sad because you see a photo of the product online and get something that doesn't even resemble the item you ordered. Its a shame that all these changes are taking away the quality and what many people loved. Sometimes it's not always best to expand and shift the business to be trendy and social media centric. Sometimes it's better to stay small and true to the original quality rather than being out of touch from the people that have quite literally helped you build your business.
