Dirty store with empty boxes and stock carts all over the aisles. Completed my shopping and went to self check out. Only one out of the eight items on sale registered as on sale. When we alerted the clerk, she took one out of every item on sale and asked that we wait till she toured the store in search of the items to find the sale sign and gather information from it. Well, it's a good thing this representative had a cart with her because God help this poor older woman, I don't think she'd be able to walk to the back of the store without assistance. So, after 35 minutes of shopping we weren't prepared to wait for her to complete her tour and we're relegated to cancel our order and are now on our way to Meijer to start over and hope for a better experience. My wife Just picked up an order of cupcakes for my son's fourth birthday party. My wife specifically wanted all vanilla cupcakes with half white frosting and the other half blue frosting with red sprinkles. When my wife pick up the order today and got home she realized that half the cupcakes were actually chocolate cake cupcakes and not all vanilla like we asked. Obviously my wife was not going to sit there and wait for a re-order since the party was in two hours. Not a huge deal or life-changing but worth yelping about. read more

I've been a Giant Eagle shopper since the beginning. This particular one is pretty disappointing and unfortunately my regular one. You would think with all the high income bracket households around it corporate would have already leveled it and built an up to date "Market Place",but maybe it's on their list. The workers must attend the same customer service school that the Slob Bevins workers attend from across the street. The school of "Dulldrums" with a PHD in grunting. It's absolutely pathetic. The front desk ladies always act like the customers are "bothering them". Heaven forbid we interrupt your social media time. The least they could do is attempt to crack a smile,but I'm sure their faces would break. Corporate Brass,time to pay a discrete visit. Wear your jeans and lose the tie. -A Slightly Above Average Grocery Store- It's important to choose a Giant Eagle that provides the best selection, best organization, and best customer service. I would venture to say that this Giant Eagle is up to par with other Giant Eagle grocery stores (or maybe slightly better). I've been to some Giant Eagle locations that are slightly under cleaned, not necessarily dirty, but also not shining and shimmering. This grocery store seems to keep everything clean and stocked well, no filthy floors or rotten vegetables. The selection of pre-prepared food is always good, normally having pasta, chicken, salads, and other options readily available. To be honest though, the best part is the sushi section. If you ever go and there's an older man of Asian descent working behind the counter, you know you will get amazing sushi. He's very polite and willing to help you make a selection, he also routinely creates something different or new, unlike some of the other sushi counters at other Giant Eagle locations. If you want cheap and affordable sushi that tastes good, this is your place. The rest of the staff here is typically very pleasant. I've had a few experiences where a checkout clerk has been unpleasant, but normally I get great service. I've been here numerous times, and the workers I see most often are polite and helpful. There's nothing that makes this Giant Eagle too special over other Giant Eagle grocery stores (aside from the sushi selection), but I still think this one is deserving of your business. read more

I love this store and especially their Curb Side Service. I have been utilizing this service since Feb of 2020 and have had nothing but great service even on the busiest of times with the Covid virus. Granted there may have been a few full days and a slight wait once there for pick up but overall it's a great store and service. People just need to be a little more understanding in the precarious times we are living in. We are blessed to have a service like this and the employees who are out there trying to accommodate all of us. I'm a bit of a grocery store snob. Giant Eagle is always my go-to place because I value convenience over everything else and I know I can get everything I need there. That being said, I still make occasional trips to Walmart, Aldi's, Mile's Farmers Market, and the West Side Market. I was never completely satisfied by the Giant Eagle at Broadview and Pleasant Valley because I had been spoiled by the awesome one at Norton Rd in Hudson for so many years. Finally there is a newer, better one in my neck of the woods! I love the cafe area where you can sit and look out over the store. My husband and I went on Sunday morning and sat up there with the newspaper. I got to clip the coupons and shop while he got to read the paper, and then he just came down to meet me at the checkout and help carry everything to the car. Perfect! read more

Well, here we are four months after my initial review. I am very pleased to report that GE has done a very solid job maintaining that early high level of execution. Make no doubt, this is not the "old" Giant Eagle. This is a brand new, shiny and powerful edition that is not only aiming at becoming your go-to place for, oh, EVERYTHING, but is doing its very best to make that a reality. The prepared foods continue to amaze. Yes, every once in a while something is off and doesn't quite measure up to previous versions, but that experience has been far and few in between. Still haven't tried the sushi so can't comment on that, but it does look good, for what it's worth. One of my biggest complaints with GE in the past was that they always seemed to have far fewer registers open than actually needed to keep things moving. They do a better job in this new store. I'm not, however, crazy about the self-service lanes. You want to give customers a discount for using them, fine, but in the meantime, I like to pretend I don't actually work there. Keep it up, Giant Eagle, keep it up. I'm betting you actually have Heinen's management pulling a Butch Cassidy and saying, "They're beginning to get on my nerves. Who ARE those guys? read more

I didn't do much grocery shopping here, however I stopped in for 2 items before I had to get down the street for a work lunch. I was already pressed for time and there was a gentleman trying to get me to talk with him. He had a table with some stuff on it so he was either selling something or asking for donations. I apologized and told him I'm sorry but I didn't have time today. After I checked out, he came out from the counter towards me trying to convince me to stop and talk( he didn't do this to anyone else). It's was super frustrating and I probably gave him attitude but it was just something I wasn't prepared to deal with while trying to hurry in and out. Alas a new and improved GIANT EAGLE! The Broadview Heights area has been in need of this for a long time. Brecksville residents can get their fill here too (pun intended- right next to Get Go!) without having to deal with the hassle of traffic on their home turf. The store is quite sizable as most newly opened Giant Eagles are. Typical modern grocery store selection with typical grocery store prices. I will be back. It's too close home not to be. If you are a grocery store warrior who likes to stick to the outline of the store, Giant Eagle has seamlessly broken this psychology. Produce is always poor quality and never lasts. Was just there yesterday another customer and I both grabbed a pack of moldy tomatoes. Our hands were dripping in rotting juice. Bought an onion and it was slimey when I cut into it. Meat is also poor quality. I've noticed a big decline in the past few years. Do yourself a favor and go to heinens or Marc's. read more

This place is on my way from home, and has a decent selection. However, they only have two checkout lanes with a cashier after 5pm. There are five other lanes open that are self checkout. There are always a few kids (who feel like they have some wierd power) chatting about thier miserable lives amonst themselves, and waiting for a patron to need thier help. I complained about it today, and I got nothing but a rude and nasty explanation from the millennial with a swiper card. read more

I LOVE this new store, and actually look forward to grocery shopping (mostly thanks to the Eagle's nest). I've never really shopped anywhere that offered this service and was a little unsure at first, but now I love it!! Candace made me feel comfortable and my son was so excited to go in. The store is huge and has everything. The employees at the deli are very friendly and helpful. I hope the service stays awesome after the new wears off. Best of all, my son looks forward to going to his "new class" and actually cried when it was time to leave! One of the nicest Giant Eagles I have ever visited. Everyone is helpful and there's always someone walking around to help you no matter what section you're in. No more chasing someone down to try to ask a question! Plus, the pharmacy is lovely and has a waiting room. They have refilled my prescriptions in 10 minutes or less! There's always a delicious sample to try, too. You can't beat this place's cleanliness and the quality of the staff. The only other place I'd ever want to shop is Trader Joe's! read more

So I went to the Broadview Heights Giant Eagle at 5 pm on Sunday. When I arrived I went to the deli but it was packed. I then did the rest of my shopping and went back 15 minutes later. The deli was still crazy busy. It took me 24 minutes to get a pound of ham. Meanwhile there were several people from other areas of the store that were just standing around. When I asked the girl behind the counter if somebody called off she said that no, it is just a normal Sunday evening. Finally I asked a manager at the front of the store and they blew me off as well. In conclusion, while I like their food, this store does not have their stuff together. read more

I made a special trip to get a specific brand of tortilla chips. They no longer carry them. I thought the prices on the wine were the final price - but they add the taxes on at the checkout (some stores have that embedded in the price advertised) - so their wine is not any less expensive. All the aisles don't run parallel - so you end up going way around - trying to get out of an aisle. There was NOT ONE cashier at the check-outs. t I had to do the self check-out which always ends up in a fiasco - and it did again. The grocery item was not moving along the 'belt' so it wouldn't REGISTER and someone had to come over and re-do the whole order. This will be the last time I go into this store. read more

Generally a good store. Food court area seems more limited of late. Bakery and deli very friendly and helpful. Baked goods very good. Meat and seafood counter a mixed bag. Sometimes good, sometimes I've been ignored. I'm not a small guy. I am hard to miss. I am polite. I waited 5 minutes after being looked at directory by two of the staff last time I was at the counter. I eventually walked away. I don't buy meat here anymore. Getgo nice but painfully slow cafe. Liquor store average. Beer section ok. Today was hassled by two pan handlers. One in store, one outside. Security guard (off duty police in uniform usually ) at door not present on this visit. Not sure what can be done, but if I get approached again for money INSIDE the store I'm done. read more
