The interior of the shop is a decent size, with both table and window seating available. They had way more donut options than I was expecting and it was honestly difficult to choose! I went with a chocolate iced custard filled donut and an apple fritter. The prices are more than fair for the quality of the food. The custard donut was SO good. It was super fresh and had plenty of custard filling and icing on top. The staff were super friendly and quick to take customer's orders. I saw several people getting half dozens and dozens. It's worth noting that they have a card minimum of $5. I'd definitely come back again for a sweet treat for myself and/or a box to go for a party or an event.

As you may know, part of the movie was filmed in Ambridge and this bakery is used in one of the scenes. The main characters visit this bakery and have a Swedish eclair, or Semlor. I was hosting our book club this week and thought it would be fun to pick up some semlors for our treat. I called the day before (not realizing they are closed Sunday-Tuesday) to place an order for 18 semlors. They said it would be no problem to make them for me, even though I only gave them just over 24 hours notice. The bakery was beautifully painted back to how it was originally when it opened many many years ago. There is limited seating (only one small table and two chairs) so it's not really meant to be an eat-in bakery. The semlors were a hit with book club! Everyone enjoyed them quite a bit. They did seem to be a little dry to me. Not sure if we got "day old" semlors or they were just drier than I would have guessed. The filling was delicious and plentiful. Would love to come back and try some other items they have--the giant cookies look so yummy!

After staring into their windows for as long as I did, it was hard not to take one of everything home with me! But I managed to keep it together and walk off with just a Cookie Dough, a Raspberry Truffle, and a Strawberry Cheesecake cupcake. These cupcakes were AMAZIIIINNNNG. We're talking moist cake mix, topped with delish icing and snacks and drizzles of sauces, and filled with a unique filling as well. It's a flavor profile you have to taste - words just can't do it justice! Easily the best dessert I've had in a long time. Through the Market Wagon website, I ordered three flavors of cupcakes--chocolate raspberry, salted caramel, and snickerdoodle. These cupcakes were made of fresh, moist cake. The whipped icings on top were wonderfully sweet. The chocolate flavors were very chocolatey. The fillings did not have strong flavors but added to the sweetness.
