1st of all, the owner of Giannis should be ashamed & embarrassed about how his crew cut The Saltbox in Amityville off Broadway. I landscaped for 10yrs myself & this crew either wasn't trained or dont give a shit because the owner would never know its cut, trimmed & edged like a blind 2yr old did it. Also, they replaced all the hedges about 2yrs ago & havent maintained the beds since. Thier all mossy & weedy. The lawn dosent even look cut, they mow it too fast with the blades too high. The owner has been called numerous times to spot check & nothing has changed but why would he care, he's got a plethora of accts, into real estate & whatever else...besides unless the renters, (who pay for said services in thier rent) address the issue, the dumhass landlord/owner wouldnt know to complain, so why change ?? I used Giannini Landscaping for two years they were reliable in that they showed up every week, but, I purchased two trees and was not given any instruction on how to take care of them until I contacted them because it seemed like they were dying within a couple months. It was assumed I had a sprinkler system when I dont, then I was told to give them a a little water at a time when it was a drought like summer. So they died and I wasted almost $700 for 2 Dogwoods. I emailed the supervisor who never answered me and did nothing. Needless to say I don't use them anymore. read more

Whoever owns Gianni Landscaping needs to spot check Salt Box in Amityville, because the crew who cuts it are horrible to say the least. I landscaped for 10 yrs & i never left a lawn if i saw inperfections, eg: missed spots of grass, edge not even, line trimmed areas missed where mower cant get at, not trimmed by edged area, grass not blown off walkway, or someones doormat blown off stoop. All these things are done Every week. If grass is long or weedy & your riding the mower at top speed while blades spinning as fast as it does you are not gonna cut all the grass. In 3 days it dosent even look cut. Its rushed & looks like shit. We pay for it in our rent, so this crew needs to take its time , be precise & make it look prestine, as im sure Gianni wants to be known for. Not rush in , make the cash & rush out. Cmon Gianni, were sure you the have money, now do the job right !!! read more

Horrible. No respect for homeowners' property. On numerous occasions they have cut freshly planted flowers; torn up a flower bed. And have broken numerous ornaments. When pointed out the landscaper laughed in my face. The Giannini office didn't want to hear it either. I actually watched them dump plowed snow into the Great South Bay..these guys are horrible read more

Whoever hires the landscapers needs to do better with who they hire. I guess they do business for capital one bank in bayshore & I was there, the worker was blowing leaves & dust into my car. Terrible landscaper. They do a horrible job. They don't take care of the weeds or crabgrass and my lawn looked terrible. The billing woman is very rude and the owner Mike kept saying he was going to take care of the issue and never did. They are the most overpriced landscaper out there. Buyer beware. I bought a home that the backyard was completely over growing. The crew came in clean up the entire yard put in new sod.

I have been using these guys 20 plus years. Today, all of the bushes were trimmed expertly, they also removed a bush, planted something new, did an amazing job and cleanup. Nice crew, very professional...highly recommend. My property looks gorgeous. read more

I have been using Giannini for years at my office. We requested not to be put on contract as our building would be put up for sale soon. Mike was accommodating with that but that's where it stopped. We decreased our service to just a lawn cut and edging as our property in the back is all parking lot with hedges and a rock garden in the front with a small amount of grass and trees. The week after I decreased our services I came into work and the hedges were cut. I figured his guys made an error and I would see if he charged me for that when the bill came in. He absolutely charged me and then got mad when I allowed them to do it. Keep in mind I wasn't in the office to stop them on the day in question. I then asked him how much it would cost for a fall clean up in order to keep the office presentable for sale. He came back with a crazy number so I decided not to do it. Again, he was not happy with me. Which brings me to why I am giving such a poor review. I called in today to find out why we haven't received our 2018 Property Maintenance proposal yet and he told me that I stiffed him on the fall cleanup so he would no longer be servicing us. I think what he meant was that I never paid for the hedges to get trimmed. That would be correct because I cancelled that from our service plan prior to it being done. As far as the fall cleanup was concerned we never got it because his price was way too high. Would not recommend nor would I ever use again. read more
