Over the last couple of home projects, a nice little pile of stuff (actually, it was another s-word, but I'll keep it Yelp friendly) has been collecting in my garage and it's got to go! I thought about getting a junk removal service but decided to do the work myself. I am not allergic to work. I started researching dumpsters by looking first to my regular trash pickup company. That seemed like a logical place to begin. Until I saw the cheapest option they had for residential service was over $800! Wtf. That was so frustrating, not only did I not use them, but now I'm looking for a different trash company altogether! Enter Funky Junk! Seriously, they were amazing. I could easily see my options online and decided to go with a slightly larger dumpster to make sure I had room. Pricing was upfront and there were NO hidden costs. $350 vs $800 with those other guys for the same size dumpster! They do charge extra for certain items due to different EPA regulations, but they provide a paper that has the items and prices clearly marked. I decided to go ahead and put in an old plasma TV for a $25 charge. Worth it! The dumpster I received had two large swing doors which was nice. We had an old couch and could just walk it right into the dumpster instead of trying to heave it over the side. The service and communication were excellent. I actually did all of the scheduling and payment online, which was really nice. I was surprised when they called me a day early and said they had extra time to drop off the dumpster a day early for no extra charge, if that worked for me. It did! I ended up finishing my trash project much quicker than anticipated simply because they were so helpful in providing the early drop off! The technician who dropped off the dumpster was kind and helpful. They also put these hard plastic feet down so the hard metal wheels on the dumpster aren't sitting directly on the concrete driveway. And these are included in the price. I got text messages about the drop off and text reminder for the pickup. I didn't need to be there for either, although I was present for the drop off. It felt so good to finish this project and work with a company who mad things simple and took away any anxiety. The job is done and it's time to celebrate! I think I'll sip this wine and dance all night cause that's how I play.

They called my wife who had ordered it. She was asleep and didn't hear phone and they did not leave a message. They did not deliver dumpster due to cars in driveway and did not attempt to knock on door. Called later in day for status and was told about earlier attempt and that we would be charged $195 for undeliverable attempt. Jamie stated that drivers are not allowed to leave their vehicles to knock on door and this charge was clearly stated in contract. She would not allow us to talk to anyone else stating that she was "highest customer service" rep there and basically just said that's their policy so they scammed us for $195. Called another dumpster company who stated that Budget Dumpster is just a third party business that actually calls other dumpster businesses to get dumpsters and that being told that drivers cannot get out of their vehicles is incorrect. Budget Dumpster is pure fraud.

We had to explain ourselves 5 different times that there was no way our dumpster was that much overweight. After reading several reviews on here it seems like a practice of theirs to charge people overages that aren't theirs. Makes us wonder if we didn't have a Ring camera for proof if we would have been out $785. We would not recommend this company as it's a bit shady.
