What an interesting experience!! It's hard to properly describe a night that involves a group outting looking for ghosts. The tour was a good price ($10 pp), the length of time was decent, travel distance was not to short, not to long. Our tour guide was a very friendly lady who was very interesting. She had quite a personality and she was really into the subject, which you would need to be to do this on a daily basis. Well, she provided us with a lot of interesting information about the ghost stories and the history of Savannah. Without giving too much away and ruining their tour, I would have to say the best part is the information about Colonial Park Cemetary. Be sure to bring a camera and an open mind. read more

We got into Savannah too late for a bus tour and found this flyer at the visitor booth. It was the perfect tour for our family (11 year old twins). I appreciated the history that was shared along with the ghost stories and that the content was rated pg. We had gone on a ghost tour in Eureka Springs, AR that wasn't exactly child appropriate and several we looked at in Savannah said for adults 18 and older. My son said "her stories were well researched." The price was reasonable $10/adult $5/kids. Lasted 90 minutes and we were able to see and learn about 5 of the Savannah Squares, Colonial Park Cemetery, and several of the historic sites. The tour size was a bit big (28 for one guide). I stayed to the front of the group so I could hear. I suspect if you were toward the back you may have had trouble hearing the guide. Our tour had many kids--who could sometimes be a distraction. However, some of the adults were also a distraction with their talking while the guide spoke. If you are an adult looking for a scary tour without kiddos along, look elsewhere. If you are a family looking for a pg ghost tour, this is the one. read more

We took the entire family on this tour and loved it. It was very informative for the adults and just the right amount of scariness for the kids. Our youngest was 4 but loved the tour. This tour was very affordable and offered a lot of historic information about the area we covered. Probably my favorite part was the fact that it wasn't cheesy with things going on to try and scare you. Our tour guide seemed to truly believe what he was telling us and had a real passion for what he was doing. He also was very funny. This was a fantastic tour! Our tour guide was Jan, and she had a lot of knowledge not only about the city, but about the ghosts as well. The tour was an hour and half long, and I wish it could have been just a bit longer because there is just so much to learn and know! Angela gave a tour to a group of 20+ Girl Scouts and their moms. She did an excellent job of sharing stories as we walked around. She not only talked about possible ghosts, but she gave some history behind her stories. She also did a great job of managing the girls' questions and enthusiasm. I highly recommend her! I cannot for the life of me remember our guide's name, but he gave the 7:30 pm tour on Sunday, 4/14/19. He was fabulous! He was very obviously a history buff, which made the tour all the more interesting. There was none of the theatrics that you often get with these things, which was appreciated, as it usually just makes the tour seem so hokey. Monica was our tour guide & she was full of knowledge! This tour wasn't scary in the sense of theater actors/actresses being your tour guide. Monica has lived here many years & truly investigates & researches the stories she tells. She also includes fun history filled facts that you might would only get on a regular tour. So technically it was like a 2 for 1 package. Here's the best part.... It was only $10 and for a Friday night there was only maybe 8-10 ppl in our group so you clearly heard every word. For $10 this is a great deal! One of the best things we did while in Savannah. It was very informative and a great way to see the city close up while hearing the history and walking off all the calories from so much good food A fun way to spend the night with the family. I took a group of 17 Girl Scouts to Savannah and reserved this tour weeks prior. Something told me to call once we got to our scheduled meeting spot and it's a good thing I did. TEN MINUTES prior to our tour start time she informs me (after *I* call *her*) that my tour guide was in an accident and was unavailable and that she had been "trying" to call me for 30 minutes. I informed her my phone had not rang and then she mentioned she had computer trouble and couldn't find my phone #. So, she had obviously not been trying to call for 30 minutes. I understand they can't control car accidents, but he isn't the only guide in their business and someone else should've been ready and at the spot at our scheduled time. She wanted to re-schedule for another day - hah! - ended up finding someone to meet us an hour later. The lady was okay, but sounded sick and sniffly and this delay put my group of young girls out VERY late. Not pleased at all. The phone has been busy all morning as I try to get a receipt. (was not offered a discount for all the problems) They also don't return emails. read more

We had so much fun! It was great to get a little history along with the spooky tales. The price was great at $10 pp, and $15 on the weekends if you want to walk into one of the homes. Our guide was awesome, very funny and friendly. I am a Savannah baby, and learned information and heard stories I had not yet heard. Tour was pretty accurate with the folklore and historic details. Highly recommended by moi! Don't pay the extra $5 to ride in the hearse, part of the allure is to walk across the dead buried under many of our streets. Please remember to tip your guides! read more

My mother and I were in town visiting family and took a Tuesday night walk with a female guide (i don't remember her name but she was a teacher during the day) who seemed more enthused to get to the ice cream shop after ending the tour. Tour seemed lackluster and was hoping more stories and facts would have been told along the walk, but apparently the guide must have had a bad day as her enthusiasm was bar minimum. Go on a weekend tour if possible...I'm sure those are better. read more

It takes a quirky person to lead a ghost walk, and that's certainly what we got! The tour was almost two hours long. It moved at a very very slow pace and there was a good amount of quiet time. Our tour guide was knowledgable and actually went off of the scheduled path because someone in our group had a question about a specific place. Every year my sorority has one big sisterhood event that allows sisters to travel together away from Columbia for a bonding experience. This past April, our sisterhood event took place in Savannah, Georgia. It is always such a great experience being able to travel with some of my best friends and explore new cities with them. Savannah is commonly known for being a ghost town, and while we were there we had the opportunity to actually go on a ghost tour during the night. The ghost tour took us around downtown Savannah, and we got to see some of the most haunted sites in the city, while getting a lot of history on the town. It was an incredible experience that was made by the tour guide herself, as she was the epitome of someone with good hospitality. It was a very cold night after a long day, and I have never been someone to take any of the ghost stuff seriously. Our tour guide made the experience so much better than I could've expected, and it is definitely a tour I will never forget. From the very start our tour guide's welcoming nature got the entire group interested in what we were about to experience. She started off by introducing herself and asking us questions to understand how much we knew about the topic she was going to be talking about throughout the night. She gave us all the background information we needed to know before starting the tour, which allowed us to actually understand what we were looking at and where we were going later on in the tour. As we walked through Savannah our tour guide continued to talk about the city itself, and she told us personal stories of things she had experienced in the town which made the tour more personal and easy to relate to. She also used her IPad to show us pictures of things that had been seen before so we could know exactly what we should have been looking for. We walked from site to site learning the history of each site and given the explanation of why it was considered haunted. Our tour guide gave everyone a chance to look at the site and understand the importance of it before moving onto the next one. She was very helpful and enthusiastic to answer any questions, and she was very thorough in her answers. One specific thing that I believe made the tour for me was that although it was a ghost tour, and her main focus was to show us the haunted places of Savannah she also told us about other events that had happened at the site. For example, she showed us the bench where Forrest sat in Forrest Gump and allowed us to take pictures and gawk at the idea that such a famous scene had taken place right where we were standing. She made the tour as enjoyable and engaging as she could, making sure everyone experienced something that was intriguing to them even if it did not have to do with the purpose of the tour. This tour could've gone either way, I could've been extremely bored and uninterested, or I could've been extremely interested and not wanting it to end. Our tour guide definitely made the tour an experience I would never forget. She made the tour so personal to the group and did a great job explaining each site and its importance. This tour was definitely not a tour I would have ever thought to have taken myself. It was not something that really interested me in any way, and I had always kind of been afraid of the whole idea of ghosts. My interest for the town definitely grew from this experience, and Savannah is definitely a place I would love to go back to and learn more about in the future. read more

It was only our 1st ghost tour walk so we don't have much to compare it to but Jan had many stories. She proceeded to tell us that many of the local places were haunted including the place we were staying in. The next night, my husband and I got in our room and I locked the door (the top lock you have to turn since there is an automatic lock on the door), as my husband took his shower I heard a click and thought maybe someone had tried to open our door (didn't think much about it as I was trying to find a good channel to watch) until my husband checked the door and asked why I didn't lock the top lock. He didn't believe me when I told him I locked it and thought I was playing a joke. Don't think I'll be going on any other ghost tours!!! read more

I'll start by saying we went on this tour not really believing in ghosts. We were more interested in taking a nice walk and hearing stories of how the ghosts came to be.. More historical information and facts. For someone who really believes in orbs and energies they would love this tour. For us the talk of orbs and things just seemed too far fetched. That said, Wimpy Jan was our guide, she was wonderful and very friendly. This is a family friendly tour, I have a 9 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. My 9 year old got a little freaked out but I guess it depends on the kid. There were 2 other small kids that did great. The tour is about 90 minutes long and goes at a slow pace so it's good for those who may not get around so well. So if you are really into ghosts - do it. If you want more of the history and facts I would say find another tour. After we were done we had wished we would have just walked around on our own because we could have covered more ground in the 90 minutes. read more

I have been on two ghost tours in Savannah. One was about 10 years ago with Ghost Talk Ghost Walk and the other was about 6 months ago in a hearse. I really, really enjoyed both and had a difficult time picking when my family and I went to Savannah as part of our vacation on June 8, 2014. I picked the Ghost Talk Ghost Walk mostly because of the price and knowing it was a great company. That being said...I was so disappointed to the point that we almost walked off during the tour. Our guide was Jeffrey. He talked about himself a lot, tried to make everything just gore and sex (my 8 and 10 yr old were with us) We were trying to decide if he had been drinking. Difficult to tell but my guess is yes. We only stopped at two places. He mostly talked and we walked...aimlessly. He did not really give any history or fun trivia as I recall from my previous tours. No one was really having fun in our group. I had really hyped this up for my family and then was so disappointed. Just don't go with Jeffrey. Make sure it is a different guide if you choose this tour. read more

Our guide was Jeff. Jeff has been giving this tour for 19 yrs (so he says) and I think he is a bit tired of it. Of course he showed us his "special spot" that he doesn't hardly take anybody to. My wife had taken a normal walking tour of the city the day before and had told me most of what Jeff told us was on the other tour, however some of the things Jeff told us were not quite true (newer bricks with circles in the sidewalk being voo-doo magic bricks). Jeff didn't appear to be up for the tour and surprisingly lost his train of thought about four times. Jeff told us there were about nine companies that gave the ghost walk tours (down from a high of 32), I think I would have liked to have gone on a different one. read more
