Pic with Mr. Ghost Stories, Kent Axell, after the show

I have been wanting to check out 1923 and Ghost Stories for some time now. I am so glad that I finally did. I didn't really know what to expect (was it going to be interactive? Mystery solving? Story telling and reenactment?) either way I was intrigued and I truly enjoy the subject matter. The venue, 1923 Prohibition Bar, is so cool! The decor, ambience, and overall vibe. The main room has plenty of little nooks to hang out and there is live music, too. As ticket holders for Ghost Stories you're led into a waiting room inside 1923 before the show to enjoy a cocktail or two and place an order for intermission cocktails until showtime. The actual show is in a separate room next to the Speakeasy and once everyone is in there and seated, the show begins. Ghost Stories is led by Kent Axell who does a fantastic job engaging with the audience and taking control of the room. The room isn't huge which I think would make it more challenging because you can pretty much see everyone looking at you but he definitely captivates the audience with his energy , humor, stories, "etc." throughout the entire performance. I don't want to reveal anything because I think that the show is quite unique and special and I think that whether you're a skeptic or enthusiast when it comes to ghosts, you'll find the experience highly enjoyable. If anything you'll be wondering how Kent does everything! The show is great alone or with a group and I highly recommend it. I would go again! (Note: Ticket options include VIP and General and include one predetermined house cocktail. If you want to be up front on a comfy couch, choose VIP. I had General and it was perfectly fine because the room isn't huge)

Decided to see this show again since Halloween is right around the corner and the last time we saw it was a couple years ago. Ghost Stories performed by Kent Axell is definitely one of our favorites in Las Vegas. I recommend getting the VIP ticket since you will be right up front and makes the show more intense and close up. My wife got picked to participate and it was so mind blowing and crazy how Kent picked the person and name of who my wife wrote wrote down on her card (she actually felt like her grandpa was in the room with us). Additionally, everything else he did in his show was astonishing and amazing. If you are visiting or live in Las Vegas, this is definitely one show you put on your must see list. We had an amazing and fun time at this show, and we are still talking about it days later.

A different kind of Vegas show [Las Vegas NV] We wanted to experience something different other than the cirque du soleil shows and I found Ghost Stories. The show included a complimentary drink: SPEAKEASY STRANGE RUSH. Tito's Handmade Vodka, Cointreau, Fresh Lemon Juice, Huckleberry Syrup. Topped with Bubbly. Neither of us are alcohol drinkers but we wanted to experience the show. I was given the option of a non-alcoholic drink which I was grateful for. The show was intimate held in a small room with some 30 of us. I'm a skeptic of ghosts and paranormal but I found Kent to be entertaining and funny. Neither my husband nor I were chosen as participants during the entire show. Our "secrets" that we had to write on a piece of paper were not drawn. I wondered why (although this was fine with us). Maybe Kent did not feel any spiritual vibe for us. He called on guests from all sides of the room so to me there was no difference between the VIP seats or the 2nd row (except for the price difference). We sat in the back row. Anyway, Kent got serious towards the end and after the show we were given the opportunity to take a photo with him. The show was indeed different from other entertainment in Vegas. I didn't find the experience scary but more entertaining. Review #3709

We purchased front row tickets (VIP) on Vegas.com for my husband and I. Upon arrival, the guy in the front escorted us through the bookshelf door into a Speakeasy. Then another secret door where we were served drinks and had to fill out a little note with either of a secret, fear or question. Then we were given instructions for the show before they moved us to the small room where the show portion was. The decor in every room was beautiful designed and authentic. The staff were incredible! Kent Axell is a great entertainer! I don't want to give away too much as I don't want to ruin the experience for future patrons. As I was in the front row, I did participate and was hypnotized. Definitely a great story to tell! If you're tired of all the cirque shows and want something different than the Vegas norm, this is definitely a MUST! I highly recommend it and will definitely be back when I book my next girls trip to Vegas.

Be sure to talk with Kent after the show

What a fun and entertaining show. Kent Axell is an amazing performer. Might be my favorite show experience in 20+ yrs of Vegas. I think he interacted with at least half of the small audience. Small venue (20-25 people max?) and there were no bad seats. Glad we chose a closer seat as my wife was part of the show. Be sure to take a few minutes after the show and talk with Kent to get to learn a little about him. Kent performs only Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm and at 9pm. Ticket prices are very reasonable (especially considering the value of the show) and are easy to purchase online. There's a brief mid-show intermission for 5 minutes so you can grab an extra drink if desired. They also serve beer, and I enjoyed a Duvel Golden Ale and a Chimay Blue Label Quadrupel Ale. Our drink server was excellent. Definitely will be back, and would recommend this show to anyone!

This show was so much fun and interesting. Kept me wondering "how did he know that?" the whole time and still 2 weeks later! The venue is perfect for the show. It's located in a prohibition type speakeasy at Mandalay Bay. The décor and ambiance were just as spooky as the show. I don't want to give anything away from the show so I'll keep my review short but it's definitely a must see if you are into spooky (not scary) story telling while keeping it funny and knowing very specific things about the audience. It was a dark and comedic masterpiece. Highly recommend!

    Kent Axell - Hair Raising!!!

There are many shows in Vegas, but none like Ghost Stories. Kent Axell weaves multiple webs of stories, mystery, and magic; all delivered with a mischievous grin and an edge that leaves you equally entertained and spooked out. The venue compliments the performance perfectly; and soon you are drawn in by the intimate atmosphere Axell creates. You are transported to back to an era when live theater was all there was. Ghost Stories is unique experience of the intimacy of a Victorian seance; and let you know the spine-tingling unease that our great grandparents felt when they engaged with a psychic or medium at the turn of the last century - but importantly, all with the safety of Axell's assurances that while spirits and ghosts may be present, there is nothing more than magical child's play at work. If you are in Las Vegas, and want something truly special - I highly recommend Ghost Stories over the larger, grander (and more expensive) shows on the Las Vegas Strip. Skip the mainstream, step through the bookshelf & secret doorway into 1923 Prohibition Bar and treat yourself to a unique experience that only Kent Axell's Ghost Stories can provide. You will be glad that you did and will leave with some tales to tell, a sense of wondering and wonder, and best of all, leave with a tall tale to tell your children (or grandchildren about - just not at bedtime!

It was the integrity behind every moment. Before the séance began, Kent took the time to explain the experience, set thoughtful expectations, and acknowledge the emotional weight of what some audience members might feel. That level of care is incredibly rare. It was clear he wasn't trying to manipulate emotions or convince anyone of anything. Instead, he created a space where curiosity, wonder, and respect could exist together. His passion for his craft is unmistakable, but it's his character that makes the show unforgettable. In a city known for spectacle, Kent reminded me that the most powerful performances come from authenticity. I left feeling more than entertained. I left genuinely moved. If you're looking for an experience that makes you think, feel, and reflect long after the show ends, this is it. I'll absolutely be back.

As a huge Lisa Vanderpump fan, I had high expectations, and somehow the entire experience lived up to them. I genuinely felt like I was one of Lisa's besties sitting in her cocktail garden! My best friend and I were in Vegas celebrating the fact that we both recently got engaged, and this was the perfect place for it. We had a reservation but arrived a little early and were seated immediately. When we mentioned that we were celebrating our engagements, they surprised us with complimentary shots, which were delicious and such a thoughtful way to start the night. My best friend ordered a mocktail that she is still talking about and claims was one of the best drinks she's ever had. I ordered the pink margarita and absolutely loved it. The presentation of everything was gorgeous and felt so intentional. For food, we each ordered the Grilled Steak Skewers with pistachio chimichurri, and of course I couldn't come to a Vanderpump restaurant without trying the iconic Goat Cheese Balls. They absolutely lived up to the hype! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented, and the quality matched the elevated experience from start to finish. The ambiance is what really takes this place to another level. It's glamorous, romantic, moody, and luxurious without feeling like a gimmicky reality TV tourist attraction. You genuinely feel like you've stepped into the Vanderpump world. Between the gorgeous decor, incredible presentation, delicious food and drinks, and top tier service, the entire experience felt special from beginning to end. My best friend said this may have been the highlight of our entire Vegas trip, and I honestly can't disagree. If you're a Vanderpump fan, this is an absolute must, but even if you've never watched a single episode, it's still an incredible cocktail and dining experience. We would come back in a heartbeat!
