Overall, the quality of care you get at RMC is top-tier, the reason for my 1-star rating is their…read morechange to a centralized call center approach for setting appointments, which has been implemented for over a year and it simply does not work. My PCP is Dr. Margaret Song. She has been my PCP for ~15 years. If you're looking for a doctor that will quickly prescribe medications for anything, she is not for you. Every time I come to her with an illness or problem, she takes her time diagnosing the problem and offers remedies that you can do at home for simple issues. However, if you're absolutely sick, she will delve into things and identify what prescription would really work for you. I have also been to RMC Urgent Care and indeed they operate the place like an ER. I saw Dr. Frickman and he did not make me feel like any other urgent care center I've been to. He took his time diagnosing me, getting radiology and bloodwork labs completed to diagnose me. Overall, the Urgent Care takes its time diagnosing you. They might take a while to get to you, but that is understandable considering they are providing you with thorough care. Ever since they went from physician-owned to privately owned, you can see many cracks coming down the line with changes in an effort from United Health Services (UHS) to save money. They got rid of all individual receptionists at each doctor's window that was the standard practice for decades. They now have a central check-in kiosk, that part is fine. The part that has failed catastrophically is calling to get an appointment. They decided to move to a call-center approach to capture all calls in one place. This is not working, nor has it been working for a while. Being on hold for +25 minutes each time is simply unacceptable.

I had a ER admission for unknown fainting and cardiology issues and they told me their turn around time for ER follow ups are 1-2 weeks THATS UNACCEPTABLE especially when something could be life threatening and voiced that multiple times. They were not willing to help me or see me! They've made me uncomfortable on multiple occasions. They never answer the phone it rings and rings and everytime I go to an appointment you see them laughing on their phones being obnoxious and hear phones ringing and makes me wonder why. If you ever need to speak with them YOU MUST come in person to have the privilege of communication to make appts or ask questions. Leaving a message on their system goes into a black hole that gets no response. The quality of care is not something I would consider safe, many suggestions or advice for care end in hospitalization. It would be nice if they could improve with communication. The only way you can reach a live person right away is after 5pm because that rings directly to an answering service who will NOT reach out to anyone in the office (office closes at 5pm). The best they can do is an after care nurse after a long delay. You would actually have better luck reaching Tesla over the phone than you would at this place. Noticed the Business owner response below and I called 800-403-4160. Tried to navigate the IVR and finally got to a live person. If I could give this Pediatrician 50 stars I would. My baby girl was born at Loma Linda and during…read moreour stay there we encountered the most delightful pediatrician we could hope for, Dr. Chow. I hoped she could be our baby's pediatrician but unfortunately she didn't have any openings at the time. Instead we took her to a highly reviewed pediatrician in Rancho Cucamonga. However, after 9 months of visit that office, our baby didn't see the pediatrician once. She always saw a nurse or nurse practitioner and I know there's nothin wrong with that. That place just felt busy, it wasn't warm or inviting, and they just seemed like a "get them and get them out" kind of place. Not Loma Linda. We found out that Dr. Chow had some openings and we jumped right on it. Out of the gate, the experience was so much better. While we were checking in at the front desk, Dr. Chow walked by and waved hello like she remembered us but she couldn't possible remember us from 9 months ago, right? Well...she did. As soon as she walked in the door the entire vibe was peaceful and friendly. She even brought a book for our baby to play with and started playing with our baby girl. At one point, the baby wanted to play with her and she even went around with Dr. Chow to greet the other nurses in the office. Dr. Chow truly knows how to work with kids. We never felt rushed. It felt like we had her all to ourselves. I highly recommend this Doctor and medical office. Side note: You may run into Donkeys in the parking lot. Yes...Donkeys. There were two roaming the parking lot when we arrived. The area is famous for the wild burros. Fun for the kids to see! Just don't try to pet or feed them.

"High Hopes, Zero Hustle: Why I'm Skipping Loma Linda University Health Clinic"…read moreI was genuinely excited to become a new patient here--everyone raves about the doctors. But after yesterday's fiasco, I'm taking my healthcare business elsewhere. Called repeatedly at 1:20 PM--no answer, just endless ringing. Tried again at 3:30 PM and finally got through to Sandy. Explained I'm a new patient seeking a primary care doctor, gave my insurance info, and she put me on hold. Fifteen minutes later: "Our system's down, can't reboot it. Call back later." I politely declined and asked her to call me once it's fixed--gave my name and number clearly. Her response? "If you don't hear from me today, just call back tomorrow." I said no again--please call me when you can actually access the system. Crickets expected. For a top-tier health system, this level of phone-tag frustration and zero follow-through is unacceptable. First impressions matter, especially when you're trusting them with your health. Too bad--the reputation had me hopeful. Moving on to providers who actually answer and value my time. If you're reading this as a patient or staff: Fix the phones and callbacks. People deserve better.

My mother has been waiting for her SDI payments from the EDD for TWO MONTHS, and its all because this "doctor" missed an entire section on the first form, and HAS NOT SUBMITTED THE SECOND FORM. This could have easily been avoided if this doctor filled out the forms online, but not only does he refuse to do that (probably so he can charge for it), but they do not even have the proper forms in his office. I mean... how is that even possible? All of our utilities, our rent, and our bills are all overdue, all because he failed to fill out a small little section of a very simple form. Thankfully, my mother no longer needs the surgery she was scheduled to have with this doctor. After seeing such an appaling lack of care to such a simple task, I wouldn't trust him to make me a bowl of cereal, much less with my mothers life.

While the doctors are excellent, you cannot get in to see them because you have to go through their call center that puts you on hold and then reroutes you to another department and puts you on hold only to be told you can't get an appointment for three months with your primary. You can no longer book through your primary and if you need a specialist uou have to go through your primary even if you have a PPO, which means you could literally be waiting for care for months. I know people who have said that their parents passed away because they couldn't get care in time. This place is a shitshow. I hope they get hit with multiple lawsuits. I feel sorry for the doctors that are there. I also heard they're no longer accepting Medicare patients.
