When my pain was not initially resolved, Dr. Ghadiri immediately got me back in and extended himself to ensure that I left the office knowing I was in good hands. He is so incredibly personable and I truly felt that I was not just another patient to him. It's evident that he genuinely cares and wants to help people! Turns out I had a VERY complex root canal situation (no fault of his) and Dr. Ghadiri was determined to get to the bottom of it. I was in severe pain between the Christmas and New Year's holidays due to an infection causing my gums to throb and swell. My regular dentist's office was closed until 1/6, so I couldn't get a formal referral to another place. I called around and left voicemails at several offices in my area, and within minutes, Dr. Ayeh Ghadiri called me back. She was so kind and compassionate from the start. I sent her a photo of the problem area and she immediately prescribed antibiotics to relieve the pain. She truly saved me because without her help the pain would've been unbearable. I texted Dr. Ayeh again that evening because I was concerned about the swelling on the right side of my face. Once again, she called me right away to check in, reassured me that the antibiotics would help, and even arranged for me to see her husband, Dr. Amir Ghadiri, the very next business day to assess the issue. When I met Dr. Amir, he was just as kind, professional, and informative, and completely eased all my worries. My family and I have been going here for years now! After bad experiences in the past with other dental offices, Ghadiri Comprehensive has been very reliable, professional, and convenient to go to! They are so good; it's sometimes hard to get appointments at their office haha. Amir and Ayeh give thorough examinations and solid recommendations for what you need at the end of cleaning appointments. They are both friendly and try to get to know you at the end of the appointments, which is always a plus. The office is very modern and clean! It's a little confusing, but they have two offices in the building. I've been a patient of Drs. Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri for several years now. I drive 35 miles over hwy 17 from Santa Cruz to go to their offices. I often have to leave my house an hour before my appointment because hwy 17 traffic jams and holdups can be really long. But it is worth it! I have seen them for cavity work, fillings, a crown, 3 extractions and two bone grafts. I trust both of these doctors with all of my dental needs. They explain clearly everything before going forward with any work that is recommended and or needed. There is never any sales pitch or pressure to get any extra work done. I have always felt very respected with any decisions that need to be made. When I had what i considered an emergency after a tooth extraction on a Saturday morning Dr.Aych answered her phone and said she would meet me at their office. This was on a Saturday morning when their office is closed. At another while I was having my teeth cleaned by their excellent dental hygienist I mentioned that I'd been having quite a bit of pain in a tooth and was worried about it. Dr. Amir said he would look at it for me even though I didn't have an appointment for this problem. I told him I was going to have an implant done in two months and we agreed that the tooth needed to be extracted. He pulled the tooth and did a bone graph there and then even though I didn't have an appointment for it. He also explained what I needed to be aware of when i went to Mexico for the implants. He was very supportive. After I came back from getting my implants done in a foreign country I had a problem with one of the temporary caps that are needed to be in place for 6 or more months for the implant to bond strongly to bone. Again, while in the Ghadiri office for my routing cleaning I mentioned it to Dr. Amir and he said he would fix it for me. For free! He made sure that I had the correct materials that he would supply that corresponded with the implant used from Mexico. Finally, I want to address their staff. Everyone there from the dental hygienists to the dental assistants to the front desk to the billing office are extremely efficient, helpful and kind. i can't imagine a better Dental office. I have nothing but admiration and great gratitude for both Dr. Ayeh and Amir and their staff. Visiting the dentist has always been torture for me. I can't believe they make dentists like Dr. Amir! I have never experienced a doctor that is so meticulous with his work, so skillful, and so professional, while being incredibly kind, caring, and polite at the same time... We all know how painful the dentist can be, both physically and mentally. Dr Farrington was like the famous TV doctor of the 1970s, Marcus Welby. His manner was so soothing he could almost say "you're going to die" and your response would be "is that all"? Good dentists...people who are knowledgeable, skilled, reasonably priced, friendly and understand the meaning of pain..are difficult to find. We were sorry to see him retire. Amir and Ayeh Ghadiri seem very well versed in their field. They updated the technology used to examine everything related to dentistry and can illustrate and discuss the results of a digital x-ray within a minute of taking it. No more waiting. I remember the days ( many years ago ) when you'd need to return the following week to review an x-ray!! More and faster information is great. It's what you do with it which can raise an alarm. Dr Farrington was vigilant. If you needed to have work done by him or another specialist, like a periodondist, he'd recommend it. So I usually had 1 or 2 things to watch or fix each year. When Dr Ghadiri took over ( I mainly saw Amir ), problems suddenly appeared everywhere. Crowns needed to be redone...fillings replaced...new root canal surgery. Was he simply more aggressive and wanted to stay ahead of possible problems or building a book of business? My wife and I became quite hesitant to visit the office. Ever drive in for an oil change and drive out with a new car? The capper came when my wife had a recurrence of TMJ, a jaw problem affecting her ability to eat without pain. She originally met with a noted specialist in July 2011. His treatment was successful, but the problem reappeared early in 2014. During a regular visit with the dental hygenist, she asked Dr Amir about the situation. He diagnosed it as a sprained muscle and realigned a dental "brace" ( worn at night ). After 3 months, the pain remained so my wife went back to the specialist who took x-rays and said it was left TM joint inflammation. Nothing to do with a sprained muscle. The specialist advised her to see a physical therapist with expertise in that area. My wife did so and noticed significant improvement after several sessions. Fortunately, at least one of the dental hygienists employed by Dr Farrington is still available.... Katarina Fandli. She's got such a light soothing touch I often don't know when the work is done. And Katarina's one of the most delightful people you'll meet. That's the greatest loss we'll feel moving onto to another dentist. Another smart move by Drs Ghadiri was to keep Dr Farrington's front office staff, led by Mary and Pam. They're efficient, friendly and understand the occasional need to reschedule appointments. When Dr Farrington recommended a more specialized dentist, those women coordinated that visit with copies of the appropriate x-rays before I was even out of the patient's chair. So, with some sadness, my wife and I must bid adieu to Drs Ghadiri, Katarina and the administrative helpers and seek dental care elsewhere. read more

After other dentists failed to make a night guard that fits me well, I went here. They Made an awesome night guard that fits perfectly. I cannot sleep without it. The second night guard I had with them didn't fit well and they remade it for me and fit perfectly. Excellent dentist. I came here after having a shady experience at another place that another dentist had recommended me go after saying he couldn't do what I needed, A wisdom tooth was growing out and causing swelling and pain. They had told me I'd have to have a ton of other work done and be sedated, take time off of work etc. I had explained that I didn't have time for all that as I am a working mom but they were very pushy. I decided I would get a second opinion and I came to Dr. Ghadiri based on the yelp reviews and thank God I did. Dr. Ghadiri had a look at me and told me the work that was recommended was unnecessary and advised a couple minor fixes. The best part was he pulled the wisdom tooth that was bothering me out in 30 SECONDS. That's right. Not hours knocked out in surgery with a week of recovery but SECONDS. I didn't feel a thing and my recovery was easy as can be, as if nothing happened. I was able to go to work a couple hours later! I will be a patient here from now on. Dr. Ghadiri and his team are honest and respectful of your time, money and life. Dr. Ayeh Ghadiri has been seeing my family for a couple years since Dr. Norris retired. When he retired I was a little skeptical and very upset because a good dentist is hard to find don't ya know?! (I was with him for over 12 years!) After my first appointment with Ayeh, I knew that I was in good hands. She listened to how my mouth felt after a filling had been fixed and wanted to get it just right. (I'm extremely sensitive like the Princess and the Pea and want my teeth to feel completely smooth) Yeaaah I thought to myself, this dentist is amazing, I was worried for nothing... She is very attentive, extremely gentle and kind. Recently I was introduced to Dr. Amir Ghadiri after needing some emergency cosmetic work. I love my teeth and was panicking to say the least. Thank goodness he was able to squeeze me in the same day and I was shocked at how great my teeth looked within an hour. Again, I could not believe what a great experience I had. This is a copy of the review I put on doctor Norri's (retired) page as Dr Ghadiri has taken over his practice. Realized that Dr Ghadiri has her own page, oops! I was a long time client of Dr. Norris. I had nearly given up hope that there was a dentist that would not force x-rays on me and listen to any concerns I had. There are SO many bad dentists out there and I had visited a few. When Dr. Norris retired, I was afraid I would never again find a dentist that listened as well as he did, used the latest equipment and technology, and had a skill that nearly eliminated any pain during procedures. I decided to "try" Dr Ghadiri and I truly believed it would be a one time appt. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr Ghadiri had the same bedside manner that Dr. Norris did. She sat and listened to any concerns I had and really tried to understand my particular needs. For example, I have VERY sensitive teeth and dentist in the past would say things like.."breath" or "stay still". Dr Ghadiri takes extra time to be sure I am completely numb and then, frequently asks how I am doing. If I feel anything, she stops to further numb me before moving forward. She also keeps me aware of what she is planning to do and will often take pictures and talk to me about what she sees as we look at it together on a screen at my feet. I felt that I needed to step up and share this as I see people branding an entire business as a one star due to a scheduling issue. If you are seeking a dentist that is calm, articulate and talented, and who will actually listen to you and take the time to get things right, Dr. Ghadiri would be a great choice. read more

I recently made the change to Dr Ghadiri's dental practice. I was not feeling completely satisfied with my existing dentist and Dr Ghadiri was highly recommended to me. I have now visited their practice several times and I am absolutely amazed at how wonderful everyone at this dental office is. From the receptionist to the hygienists and both Dr Ayeh and Dr Amir. I have never felt so well taken care. We all know that no-one really likes to visit their dentist - but the people at this practice actually make it an enjoyable and warming experience. Both Dr's are very experienced and you know right away they are confident in what they are doing. They take the time to explain what is wrong and ensure you understand everything while they recommend treatments. I found them to be very genuine and have my best interests at heart - unlike some dentists I have visited in the past. Far more skilled and have further training than a lot of general dentists you will find. The office surroundings are lovely and the technology they use is the most up-to-date and makes the visit very efficient. I had never before seen a lot of the technology they use and the visual screens helped me better understand the problems I had with my teeth/mouth. I found them to be great at fitting me in for appointments that suited my schedule. Easy to find the office and plenty of parking right outside. Overall, I gave them 5 stars. Luckily, I knew the details of my insurance carrier and was able to provide the information to her office and they were able to provide me, not only outstanding service, but a complete understanding of billing. It really bothers me to read comments about billing and insurance issues that are not the responsibility of the business but the individual. In network and out of network are terms individuals need to know before making an appointment. Luck favors the prepared. Ayeh and her husband, Amir, have serviced my son, mother, father, girl friend, and her family. Her service is outstanding. Her communication is on point. Her hygienists have been cleaning my teeth for years. They have provided me the products, advice, and understanding to keep my teeth health and clean. After taking over for the retiring Dr. Norris, who himself was a fantastic dentist, I have happily been a patient of Dr. Ayeh Ghadiri. After having had a less-than-adequate dentist for several years before Dr. Norris, I have had apprehensions. Thankfully, my fears were removed. Dr. Ghadiri is very personable, and is very professional and caring with her patients. This is someone who loves her profession, and aims to be the best at what she does. With so many doctors and dentists to choose from, it's sometimes hard to find matches between them, and patients (who themselves have fears, and difficulties). Dr. Ghadiri's mannerism are a great help in making sure that patients are relaxed, and feel confident in her abilities. I'm someone who needs details in procedures being done, to calm any anxieties. Dr. Ghadiri has no problem concisely and calmly explaining the procedures, the expectations, and any potential risks, so that I am well aware of everything, and can make whatever choices I might need to make. Aside from regular cleanings, I have now had several different procedures done by Dr. Ghadiri, all of which had fantastic results. And, she has even called later to check up and make sure that everything remains pain-free and successfully done. That's the extra step that a very good doctor / dentist does, to make sure their work has been done correctly. I have briefly met Dr. Amir Ghadiri as well, and would recommend either of them. As well, I have spoken to another patient, who had originally referred me, who said that in his experience, Dr. Ayeh, and Dr. Amir, both are amongst the best dentists he has ever encountered. I had four wisdom teeth which I was nervous about having worked on since they were growing out and compacted. It was becoming extremely painful and unbearably distressful making it really difficult to work. I spoke to Dr. Amir and he said he would take care of it for me with ease. Prior to speaking to him, I had quotes and paperwork from a few other dentists but none of them made me feel more comfortable with the operation like Dr. Amir.
