It feels like the land of cowboys and construction workers. That's right, it feels manly, dusty, gunmetal and sometimes it literally smells like shit. It's the kind of place where corrugated siding is a design element, and two-ton pickups are the car of choice. This is why you, the princess that you are, need a refuge for your soul. You can't make it out to the coast every single day to let the mist clean the grunge that is Sonoma County off of you, to let the sound of the waves clear out the tiresome pounding that is Highway 101, or the fairgrounds racetrack, or the squeal of the neighbor's dog whose owner was set on the noble aim of making boxer-chihuahua puppies. You need to go to a place like this, or the one or two cute trendy cafes that you might find downtown. You need to do it once in a while and try, try, try to forget that you are in Sonoma County.
