Based on crowd-sourced reviews, this is the top-rated restaurant on Highway 70 west of the Mississippi, and the top-rated Mexican cuisine on the entire 2,400 miles of Highway 70! If that's not an impressive resume, I don't know what is. And incredibly, Monarca con Sabor actually lived up to the hype!! The husband-and-wife team operating the restaurant are on a mission. No chips and salsa, no Americanized Mexican dishes, just purely authentic, delicious Mexican street food! And they've succeeded. On their recommendation, I tried the Pambazo. It's a massive sandwich with chorizo, potatoes, cotija cheese, and lettuce. The bread is dipped in a red chile sauce and fried. Do you really need to hear more? It was as good as it sounds!! I also had a sope, beautifully flavorful beans and steak accentuated by sour cream and lettuce and avocado all topping a fried masa bread base. Wow, this was the best sope I've ever eaten!! I highly recommend this beautifully decorated little establishment run by a wonderful family serving amazing food!

Heading home after a week at Lake Ouachita with two hungry teenage boys, two doodles and my partner…read morein crime early this morning and need a COVID friendly breakfast option for this motley crew. Saw this option along 270 and gave it a shot and I'm glad we did. The service was amazing. I know the young lady was grinning behind her mask because her eyes twinkled. She answered all questions and spoke to both the boys and dogs. Our orders included several croissant breakfast sandwiches, large sausage and cheese kolaches and some glazed donuts. She threw in some extra donut holes and croissants for the dogs (they didn't get them, the boys did). The croissants disappeared with in minutes with the ultimate teenage praise "these are good, can we have the dogs?" The kolaches had just the right amount of roll that surrounded a juicy sausage with cheese. And the donuts? Light, airy with just the right amount of sweet. Make sure you drop by, you too will be glad.

It tasted like chemicals. How can you make white cream taste like that. It's just butter, sugar, and vanilla. We don't have Shipley's where I'm from. I won't ever stop at another. I was at Delicious Donuts the other day which was way better. They cost more but you get what you pay for.
