Solid group of guys. They know their stuff and are willing to help you find what you're looking for. Great local shop!

Fire arm, safety certificate, provided on location as well as the process of background check. Down payment on your chosen gun selection must be provided upfront. Of course, the department of justice clearance must be obtained for the purchase of the gun to be completed. I find that the prices are reasonable and I could ask any questions on the process, making it an ideal spot for first time gone purchasers. You can buy your ammo here as well and do the gun demonstration in person. There's a variety of options for consumers that are more experienced. There is a gun range in Santa Maria that you can use to practice be warned that they are free and so you must purchase that ammo for the practice from the gun club. read more

There are way too many better Gun shops around to have to deal with their arrogance. Try Turners, they actually know what they're doing and have the courtesy to assist your purchase. read more

They know their stuff! We've been a customer for over 25 years! They buy and sell.

Saved the day today! You had exactly what I needed! When other local store dropped the ball. Quick transaction.

If I could give them a zero review I would. The man who owns this shop asked me and my husband what we did for a living and then told us he wouldn't sell us anything in fear that we would keep bugging him to see when it came in. Horrible service, just go to Turners (which we did) great prices and they actually have products to purchase. read more

Owners are very unprofessional and rude. When you go to do business they ask if "you made an appointment" and when it says nothing online about that they said it's " common courtesy" and make you feel unappreciated as a repeat customer. Unreal when your going to give them business. It's too bad this is like the only gun place in Santa Maria. Not the first bad experience I have had. There very unorganized and don't know how to run a business, it's very obvious when you look at the place. Will go out of area instead of being treated this way. read more

The best Service I've ever received. The crew at Get R Gun are friendly and professional. I recommend you drop by and check it out.

There was an older gentleman who did smile and say hello when we entered the store and that was the highlight. The boy and girl behind the counter barely looked up from their computers. Seemed very uninterested in helping us . When we told them what we were looking for they quickly said don't have any don't know when we will...keep in mind still not looking up from their computers. So if they are that disinterested in helping we sure aren't interested in buying there, Complete waste of time. read more

I purchased my first firearm from this shop and everything went smoothly. I didn't use the gun for two years and decided to take it back to them to sell. I knew I wasn't getting my full amount back and was looking for at least half ($300) of what I paid. A simple I cannot do that would have sufficed. Instead he shut down the idea of negotiating and gave multiple excuses. Final offer was $275. Unfortunately for him I was not in for negotiating, but to simply talk business. Won't be going back. read more

Went in to buy my first handgun. Walked in and was greeted and helped immediately. I was told they offer blue label deals for law enforcement. They do. Wish I knew the guys name that helped me. He is a Hispanic dude. He was very patient and very informative to make sure I got the exact gun I was looking for. I chose the Glock 43. 10 long days later I got to pick up my gun. I will absolutely be back for my next gun. Highly recommend this place. read more

Guys were jerks. It was like they did not want me to buy a gun. Glad I knew what I wanted so I could shrug off their rudeness & get what I needed. Unhelpful, piss poor customer service, & poor selection. read more

Kevin and his staff at Get R Gun made my purchase and transfers easy. I truly feel valued as a customer and responsible gun owner. Thank you Andrew for your insight and assistance. Highly recommend, will come back!! read more

This place reminds me of the old school gun shops that use to be more prevelant in the state. Where it was primarily another business that also happen to have an FFL and a firearms counter. This is a great place to go if you love to talk guns, or want to get general information on a topic. Jose loves a good history story and is really enthusiastic about helping you explore your options as far as what firearms are available through the given suppliers. "Friendly neighborhood gunshop" sounds kind of weird, but that's what it is! read more

These guys are a SCAM - If you buy a product and they can't deliver it they do not call to tell you, they just keep your money. Then when you try to get a refund they tell you they will refund it, and then don't. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY read more

Horrible. I've gone there two times to pick up my gun/ sign paperwork when they were supposed to be open just to find out nobody was there. Customer service is horrible, seems like they are talking down to you or you are asking dumb questions. Pricing isn't competitive at all. Once I pick up my gun if they are there I'm never going back. read more

These guys have the best deals in town. Friendly, professional, great selection. There transfer fees are better than competitors in town. Bought guns and accessories there and extremely happy with every purchase and experience. Hands down best place to purchase all your firearms. read more

I went to go cheack out this place because i wanted to buy a gun for my birthday the sighn said open but when i knocked on the door there were three guys one turned looked at me and turned back around like if i were a nobody and the other two looked and did the same thing no common decency to say we are close, you just lost a future customer. read more

Horrible customer service. The guy was condescending & acted like I was an inconvenience. I know my way around guns & I was looking to pick up a rifle for my boy. It might be a gun shop guy thing but he was trying to make me feel dumb but I knew what I wanted so I shrugged it off. They had poor selection but I had the info on what I was looking for. If I didn't come ready to deal with these guys I probably would have left with nothing. They weren't helpful. read more

Great customer service, good prices and awesome to do business with, I would definitely recommend buying from this newer dealer in the area

Great customer service. very friendly and knowledgeable on their products, they really go out of their way to make sure you get what gun is best for you. read more

Very impressed with the customer service here. The dude was was able to answer all my questions and jumped on his computer to continue feeding information. He was patient as I held pretty much every gun in the joint. The selection is great, the prices are great, his transfer fee is competitive. This will be my go to spot from now on. BOOOM! read more

Really great experience I had buying my first firearm. I was a little nervous but Matt really went out of his way to answer my newbie questions and explain the process. Great prices too! Highly recommended. I will be coming back. read more

Very nice and very helpful guys so it didn't take me 10 minutes to decide on one, but this waiting period is another!

I wasn't impressed anytime I've gone here. There's a poor selection and the kid with glasses is rude to say the least. I had some simple questions and he barely looked away from his computer monitor. I did not feel welcome and will never come back. read more

I recently made my first firearm purchase, and decided to buy from Get R Gun. The staff were very informative and helpful about the purchase process. They were very knowledgeable about the firearm i decided on and made this information available to me without having to ask. They didn't have my choice of firearm in stock resulting in having it shipped. I received a call in less than 24 hours that the firearm had been delivered to the store. I strongly recommend you give this establishment the opportunity to earn your business and you will not be disappointed. read more

Great help at the counter. All my questions quickly answered, really taught me a lot, very friendly service, nice selection and pleasant atmosphere. read more

These guys know their Sh*t. Anything that pertains to guns, ammo, and gun laws, this is the place to go. They don't have a lot of selection though. read more

The low reviews on here give me a good laugh, I enjoy seeing people make fools of themselves. The guys at Get R Gun are pretty awesome, and VERY knowledgeable. They are super friendly and have that ability to be informative without sounding arrogant, impatient, or douchey. Far too often I find firearm salesmen are dicks unless you can match their knowledge level for firearms, that is not the case at Get R Gun. They have amazing customer service, they really try to get the best gun for the best price. The main guy I interact with, Jeremy, will find whatever gun you want and get it to their store quick (they have limited space and ability to store inventory) but it didn't take any longer to get my weapons. Jeremy was able to start the California 10 day waiting process when the guns were shipped! So far I have purchased a C39, 12-gauge, and a 30-30, and I'm going to go back for my Glock 17, .308Win, and a .45 ACP read more

Nice staff, helped me get my first AR-15, great store, would like to see them stock more parts other than that, awesome service and cool guys read more

Great shop! Only gun store I've been to in the central coast where people are friendly and knowledgeable. Decent prices too. The people and prices are top notch. The service is truly the best I've had at a gun store. Even though he place was packed with a line out the door they were great to everyone and answered everyone's questions. They were not afraid to say I don't know. Just the exact opposite experience of tacti-cool or diamond pawn. read more
