But when I tried the main door, the key would not turn. I was completely locked out. As a Yelp reviewer, I immediately searched for a locksmith and found Key Boss Locksmith. I called and was instantly connected with David. He was in Zionsville while I live in Broad Ripple, and he was finishing up another job. What impressed me right away was how communicative he was and howhe kept me updated on his timing and arrival so I wasn't left wondering. It gave me time to walk down to the grocery before he arrived. When he arrived, he almost magically got the door open using my existing key. But what truly set him apart was what happened next. Instead of just unlocking the door and leaving, he took the time to figure out why it had jammed in the first place. The opening where the lock connected was slightly too small, causing it to stick. At no additional charge, he carefully filed it down to prevent the issue from happening again in the future. That level of care and professionalism is rare. The only catch with buying those is that you need a locksmith to program both the keys and the fobs. You cannot do it yourself without special equipment. I did a little research and came across this business. David was very responsive and we set up a date and time to meet. He has a mobile shop, so he has everything he needs in his truck, so it was easy for him to come to me. I had an event downtown and he was able to meet me there. He programmed both of my fobs and cut two keys in about 10 minutes. I was amazed. He was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had one key made and fob programmed at the dealer a few months ago and it was more than double the price I paid. And they only did one set at the dealer. I got two done. I also waited much longer than I did with the Key Boss. They also offer many other services including lockout service, roadside assistance, and rekeying. If you need any of those service along with key cutting or fobs programming (which I did not even know was a thing until recently), I highly recommend checking the Key Boss out.

I called asking if they had availability the next day, had to wait until the following morning, and was promptly greeted by Ethan who rekeyed the front and back doors, and then ordered the deadbolt replacement. He provided all keys ordered and said he would invoice once he'd finished installing the deadbolt. All in, three locks and 6 keys was just around $200. He did very quickly and I texted back. He said he'd be by in about 15-20 minutes. He made it in right about 20 minutes. I'd figured it would be a quick job and it was a quick job. He got in my car, saw the keys, and we were good to go. We had a fair price, not really a great price but a fair one, and he was able to accept cash, credit card, Venmo, or CashApp. I was having trouble getting into my Venmo (you could tell credit card was a bit more of a hassle, but we decided to go that route). He used Square and I got a text receipt confirming my payment. As much as I always hate to spend a decent amount for such an easy job, the truth is he couldn't have been much better.
