She's such a pleasure to work with, and she's so thorough and helpful. We're still in the planning stages, but so far I'm pretty pleased. I will definitely keep you posted as we go through our trip and give my overall experience and thoughts.

As my wife and I were planning our wedding it was a blessing to not have to worry about planning the boring logistics of our honeymoon. I really don't remember how I stumbled on Wendy Cook, but I am very happy I did. We went to Miami for 2 nights, Fort Lauderdale for 1 night, and on Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas for 7 nights. This was first experience with a travel agent. I couldn't believe the pricing and attention I received. Both my wife and I are young professionals and fully capable of researching good hotels and inexpensive flights ourselves. Wendy was extremely patient, attentive, and was able to reduce our cost significantly. This was my first time booking shore excursions separately from the cruise line. Wendy was very informative and made us feel comfortable. I plan on working with Wendy in the future for both simple and complex trips and would completely recommend her to my friends and family. I'm all about the convenience of travel websites but Wendy also was totally supportive. If you are looking for someone in the industry who has valuable experience and great knowledge of domestic/international travel, is honest, and offers great customer service with The Cook Travel Group.

Due to…read moreCOVID19 in early 2022, it was recommended by Jayne to postpone the trip until April of 2023. I did, and she told me that I would once again be booked on a Viking Cruise with both Pre- and Post-extensions. I got a complete run around from Jayne until 2 weeks before our Cruise was to leave. The itinerary was emailed, and it was not a Viking Cruise; also, there were no pre- or post-extensions. Jayne didn't even have the decency to let us know any of these changes verbally. We had to read that we were leaving a day early! The cruise line was not comparable to Viking Cruises; we received none of the cultural events on board, and we did not have the time to explore the ports every afternoon as promised; our cruise line sailed in the afternoons. It was a true Bait and Switch, and it was hugely disappointing that we did not get the agenda that we had been promised. I would not recommend making any kind of trip plans with this travel agency. Jayne would tell me that she was available 24/7, but I found that she was radio silent when I had questions and true concerns.

We flew to Seattle, took the scenic train to Vancouver, boarded the Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Sea, visited Alaska and the Yukon, embarked on side trips, and finally flew home. At every step, our time was used to best advantage. There were activities for everyone. Emily armed us with suggestions and recommendations. They came in handy. If you're going to invest your time, energy, and money, superb planning is crucial to making the most of your trip. Our trip was a gem. Our family started dropping like flies with the flu, less then 5 days from our upcoming trip to Disney World. I called Maryann this morning, on a national holiday nonetheless, and asked her if there was anyway we could bump the trip back several days to make sure we are all healthy for Disney. I figured this was gonna be next to impossible at this point, but Mare said she would make it happen. Over the next three hours (again, on the morning of a holiday!) Maryann had not only moved our Disney reservations back two days... at less then the original cost.... she also got the airfare switched to the same exact hours of our original flights, to match the new resort dates two days later.... at minimal extra cost. 5 days away from our trip! That's ridiculously difficult to accomplish! This is exceptional service.... and at no extra cost to you. So..... if you are going to plan a trip to Disney, or a cruise (Disney and non Disney), or a resort.... contact Maryann or Dave at thinbluelinetravel.com and let them take care of you. You will not be disappointed. They treat you like you are their family. And, if you think you know Disney..... and wanna book everything yourself.... contact Maryann and Dave and let them handle it for you. You may be able to book your trip by yourself..... but if an emergency happens and you need help.... you want them in your corner.

The first venture being making charcuterie 'boo' boards for Halloween and the wines to go with it. We ventured to various wineries- with a membership fee of $42.00 and receiving a bottle of wine- (I missed out on Mazzaroth given I was taking dental pain meds and left after presentation. I've yet to receive that bottle given Ms Smith owner kept changing perimeters of receiving and which I was entitled to. We then went on a nice trip to Sonoma- although there was a conflict re payment on her end- I was advised it was straightened out. Fast forward pending trip to Sardinia (Italy) Again, issues with payment- my Discover rating starting to go down. It's taken a year to be compensated and the owner not taking accountability I resorted to BBB and Consumer Affairs. Attached are the write ups. Ms.Cummings: MdStates Atty (Hagerstown) I left a msg in response to the Letter I received dated July 31. 2025. I can appreciate the confusion- I too was affected by the continual hyperbole vs relating to facts. July 3rd, I received notification from Discover the amount $2,920 (Sonoma) was credited in my favor however Ms. Smith had x number of days to contest - which she did by saying I went on the trip- and could send pictures. That wasn't the issue- the facts were she she ask I pay by pay pal and claimed it didn't go thru- and therefore wanted to use my Discover- hence billed twice for the same trip- I was responding to her claim trying to get out of compensating. The same thing happened with the Italy trip: ultimately I paid 4 times: pay pal then Discover, or vice versa- Initially I was told she wanted to transfer to a business PP account. I did what was asked- then for Italy: 12/27/24 $4,469 12/29/24 -$4,479 and $500 credit given for early payment- returned given the demand by Ms Smith; Upset I contacted Discover/Pay pal directly- also, 1/25/25 $4,479 1/27/25 $4,479 After her wine club was put on hold, I heard nothing more and trip to Charlottesville was cancelled-incorrect email given (hers) (for me) Also, trip to Crimsom-advised filled despite not having prior notice- therefore I cancelled membership in the wine club. I was also left off other outings, and I am out a bottle of wine per our membership payment of $42.oo a month. I left at the end of wine tasting per dental. Mazzaroth-Middletown. Which I never recieved. Smith was also upset I contacted Fora directly to see if my money was tied up with them- (organized trip basically) As of 4/5 per Francis, Discover/fraud the case was on going for the 12/27 charge $4,479. For some reason it was re- investigated having gotten the temporary credit. Discover asked for copy of the request and FWC had 35 days to respond. I had also checked with Fora, the travel entity who actually did the trip planning to verify what happened to the amounts I paid. I had to re- send emails and therefore copied you as Ms Smith did things over the phone and I got to the point NOTHING would be discussed via phone- only email as she misconstrued the facts. As of 4/25th per Cynthia, Discover- still outstanding $2,92O And, $4,479, and they had by June 26th, and July 9th respectively to respond. 6/26th and 6/30th per Angel; case Escalated (Discover) 7/3rd - no response and received notice #344491029B amount transferred. Called Discover-Per Julio- #763602192B still outstanding $4,479 July 4th resolved 8/4/25 Discover claims dispute case resolved and credited back As well as others. I will check again to be sure she doesn't try to refute again. All of this has been a hassle. Inconvenience and I am out 3 trips and a bottle of wine-not to mention a couple of pictures posted not becoming I ask not to use. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Regards, Cynthia Faville Cc: Better Business Bureau whom I had also contacted- Ms Smith wanted to hop on the line with Pay pal (this to me was unprofessional) I was with a client- 2) she should have refunded the overage as she was made aware. If you go on a trip with FWC make sure you have everything in writing and not double charged.
