ALWAYS down for a Get Fresh stop! The fresh ingredients, the yummy combos, the happy atmosphere. Great place to go to catch up with a friend, or to take the kids for smoothies. I enjoy that they have a bottle buy back service for the fresh juices as well. While one could feel like it's a bit on the pricey side, it feels like a good investment in health when there are no better choices to fuel your body. Also- Make sure to catch them at the farmers market! read more

I needed a digestive smoothie and found Get Fresh Cafe just a quick walk from our hotel. They have everything for a great digestive smoothie and I love you can control if there's any added sweetener, even fruit. So I customized mine with everything I needed including (but not limited too ) Greek yogurt, almond milk. Spinach, flax seed, collagen protein, and a kiwi. So good. If you're looking for the real deal you've founded it at Get Fresh Cafe. read more

The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. They had games available to play. Seems like a nice place to grab healthier options. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and mango pineapple smoothie. I enjoyed the buffalo flavor of the wrap. The tortilla was ok and the wrap had a lot of lettuce with not much else for other veggies or even the protein. The smoothie was decent and was slightly chalky but overall good. read more

Been here a few times before, very high quality smoothies! If you like smoothies to be more of the fruit and less of just ice these are for you! There are also other drinks and snacks available if not all of your group is a smoothy fan. Juice, milk, and more! Very clean interior with some games and other children oriented toys. Perfect place to escape the heat and noise of the city. We have never had issues with service or food prep speed all the times we have been here. Can't wait to come back and try another flavor of smoothie! read more

I had the most insanely good peach smoothly from them at the farmers market. I see it's not on their regular store menu, but I had to come here and give that review because it was the most perfect smoothly of my life. Excited to try others! read more

I've been sleeping on açaí from Get Fresh for far too long and finally stopped in! ⁣It's now unlimited toppings! Which I love because I kinda love everything. I got their traditional açaí base with ancient grain granola (SO good), kiwi, strawberries, raspberries, almonds, almond butter, and chia seeds. Take a look at all their toppings online or order online so you don't get decision nerves at the register ⁣they have a gluten free option, too. The cafe has a decent amount of seating and looked like quite a few people studying or working on a Saturday morning. read more

A couple of years ago I had a marketing project on Get Fresh and my group even got to meet the owner, who is super nice! I love the acai bowls and sometimes get the smoothie of the day. There are a lot of allergen friendly options, like the gluten free granola I always get. There are also some delicious sandwiches (gluten free bread is an option), cold-pressed juices, and so many other healthy options that taste great. I brought my family here the day of my graduation and we all loved it. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Also, the ambiance is chill. The cafe has a lot of plants, has good music playing is comfortable, and is a great place to hangout and get some work done. read more

We had visitors from out of town for the football game. We experienced a warm welcome! My uncle loved his turkey club, cousin loved the gobbler (with cranberry sauce...compared with multiple other versions she's tried), and my Tuscan bean soup really hit the spot. It was comfort food that made me feel better. read more

Such an underrated smoothie shop! The aesthetics were amazing -- they had a couch and study area, were great decor. I got the daily special which turned out to be a bluberry pineapple smoothie, which hit the spot on that sunday morning after running around at the farmer's market. read more

Was there for a Yelp event. I loved that cozy place in middle of the downtown Iowa City. As the name sounds this place is blessed by all the fresh food. They have a great menu for just a cafe. I ordered triple berry smoothie thai veggie bowl and Buffalo chicken bowl. Thai veggie bowl was my fav. Overall Location 5* Food variety 5* Smoothie 5*. & service was spot on as well. read more

The owner was very rude. I was about to order food for lunch and she proceeded to yell at me and many others claiming we don't support her business which I fully understand but maybe place a sign on the door explaining no outside food or drink allowed before yelling at numerous people who didn't know. Thank you! read more

If you are in search of locally sourced, more health conscious, yummy food and drinks, head over to Get Fresh Cafe. Service is friendly & fast. The ambiance is chill especially for such a small space. It's a great place to get take away or dine in. I got a hot sandwich- the pesto chicken and a pineapple, pear, orange juice and both were quite tasty. I look forward to trying more of their freshly made juices açaí bowls, smoothies and food offerings. Thank you for a wonderful experience. read more

The smoothies were very decent. I give it a 6.5/10, but it's slightly over-priced. The vibes seem very calming, like a great place to study, and little board games are around in the shop. read more

We stopped for lunch on a road trip. There are two or three vegetarian sandwich options and a wrap; the vegetarian sandwich options feature house-roasted seitan "bacon," which is good. We got the vegetable sandwich and the vegan "Fiery BLT" with a strawberry banana smoothie. The place is quiet, at least when the blender isn't going (we were there at 2 on a Sunday). Sandwiches were nicely toasted and vegetables were good (notably the lettuce). I could have done with less chipotle mayonnaise on the "Fiery BLT" but have no other complaints. Service was fairly quick once the person behind the counter stopped visiting with the person in front of us. read more

"I really regret eating healthy today." -- Said no-one ever. If there was ever a biz Iowa City needed-- it was Get Fresh Cafe! Me and my little stopped in on a Friday morning to get a strawberry and banana smoothie (his choice). Service wasn't super friendly, or fast. BUT it just opened-- so I think that this was the exception, not the rule. Our smoothie was absolutely delightful! Totally hit the spot and so, so fresh tasting. Who doesn't love a biz with a farm-to-bottle mentality!? Additionally, this new IC staple is committed to staying compostable, sustainable and natural. The cafe serves up customizable smoothies and cold pressed juices. And has vegan options as well. (I've read salads and sandwiches are to come, too.) Get Fresh Cafe lives where (a much bigger) Iowa Book resided. It's a great location! There is plenty of metered parking nearby but also a ramp a few blocks away. It boasts high-top seating, low-top and a cute little counter of sorts, looking out the front window. Pricing seemed on point with portion size and the fresh (local) produce used, IMO. What a breath of fresh air! I'm going to call it, this is going to quickly become an IC must-have. Get Fresh Cafe has got something for everyone-- stop in for a healthy treat! read more

I love everything about this cafe. I've only sampled a smoothie--triple berry, and I can't recommend it enough--but I was so impressed by their commitment to sustainability and fresh (shocking, I know) products. The cafe itself is super cute, the type of place I could see myself meeting a friend for a quick and healthy meal. They have a pretty impressive variety of food options, and while it may seem a little on the pricier side, I get the sense that you get what you pay for. I'm looking forward to returning to sample more of the menu, but so far, they get two enthusiastic thumbs up from me. read more

As always, Get Fresh was totally delicious! I decided last minute to try the $5 drink of the day, a strawberry orange freshii, and I was pleasantly surprised. The only downside of my trip was the excessive amount of lettuce on the wrap, but it was fairly priced at just $6.50 and still tasted great! read more

Visited Get Fresh Cafe today and I already want to go back. The cutest atmosphere greets you, and a plethora of menu items to choose from! I kept it simple today for my first visit: a strawberry banana smoothie with oat milk. But I can't wait to try their juices, wraps, and other smoothies! The wait was a little longer than I expected, but I know every small business is facing staffing shortages right now, and there were quite a few people there keeping them busy! read more

High quality fresh foods and juices. Service was attentive but slow: Parking is an issue.

I got an açaí bowl here and it was not at all what I expected. It is extremely watered down and just gross. I have been to many açaí locations and I have never ate one this bad. The taste and texture are awful and this cafe should not be selling these bowls. I gave it two stars because the staff was very friendly and nice but they do not know what they are doing when it comes to this. Do not recommend. read more

Get Fresh Cafe - Açaí base that is just a soupy mess - Cafes Near Me - Iowa City, Iowa

Slow service, great food. Love how you can customize your smoothie and bowls. Parking isn't always easy.

What I ordered was really good - a smoothie bowl. HOWEVER. The price listed on the menu displayed above where you order was not accurate. Instead of the $12 listed, it rang up as $15. Toppings are listed (you get 3 with build your own), but boosters (you get 2) are not. I asked about them, was told chia seeds, and that rang up as $1 extra. While the serving is large, paying $17+ for a smoothie bowl is, IMO, too expensive. I understand the owner is looking to get a digital menu display so updated prices are easier to display, but still. Looking at this cynically, this is a great way to lure in customers to pay, in my case 25% more. I'd like to go again, but I want to have the true cost DISPLAYED instead of making the order and then having an unpleasant surprise. read more

This cafe is a small space with good fresh food and drinks to try! I tried a breakfast sandwich and a strawberry/mango/banana smoothie - both were very enjoyable. Great menu options and good variety of foods to try. They were very busy the entire time I was there which contributed to a longer wait time, but I was happy to see many people enjoying this spot! read more

Quality of açaí bowls have definitely gone downhill. In the begging game they were nice and thick and creamy, now they're incredibly soupy and way too sweet. If I wanted a smoothie I'd just order a smoothie, I shouldn't have to drink my açaí bowl with a straw. Disappointing! read more

Can't say enough about Get Fresh...more than fresh ingredients, excellent tastes and friendly folks.   I order 3 juices,  cashew chicken sandwich, and hummus every week.  Wendy's food is an important part of my family's  healthy diet.  You can stop anytime and find excellent food.  Get Fresh never disappoints.  Thanks for all you do. read more

I waited 54 minutes for an order of two smoothie bowls, waited paciently and asked the workers once for an update and was told they would be 5 more minutes. It took them another 15. If you want an overpriced watered down açaí bowl that takes an hour to make, definitely go here! read more

This place is so lovely! They have a good selection of juices, salad, smoothies, freshies (fruit with ice), fruit bowls, sandwiches, and more! A lot of the ingredients are locally sourced. For the smoothies and fruit bowls, you can build your own or have what's on the menu. I ordered a PB & J smoothies - to be honest it's one of the best smoothies I've ever had - dense and rich but also refreshing and delicious!! It tastes less fruity but more rich in flavor compared to the PB & J from the Power Cafe in CRWC. Their interior is also very very cute, they have various kinds of seating and a lot of natural light. Great for hanging out with friends, reading, and eating. Their bathroom is also very nice (if you were wondering lol) - great decors, clean, and smells great! The staffs are all very friendly and helpful. The reasons I didn't give this place a 5 star are 1) they are a bit overpriced for me - the 16 oz (like the small-sized at the CRWC) gourmet smoothie I got was 9 dollars (the make your own ones are cheaper, a little bit under $7). Even with the 25% discount from the Plyo app (check it out if you haven't!!), it's still over $7 for a smoothie. 2) no wifi... which is kind of a bummer especially considering the price of the food. This place would not be the best place to study at in downtown. Overall, this place is a great place to get a upgrade for your ordinary smoothies and juices and to hangout with friends. read more

Get Fresh is my favorite place in Iowa City/Coralville! I have tried everything from smoothies/smoothie bowls to sandwiches to fresh juice and plenty more.
